I feel so bad giving Flatbread only 3 stars but I find their pizza inconsistent and since that is all they make (pizza and salad), they should have it perfected. We ordered a mushroom, onion and chicken pizza. It didn't seem to have any sauce at all. But when I asked the waitress if we needed to request sauce on their pizza she said no, look you can see a tiny bit of it, the chefs don't always put much on it. The waitress was very accommodating and gave us some sauce on the side. The pizza was good, just dry without sauce. The apple sundae we shared was delicious as well. Sorry Flatbread... I'm sure I'll try you again because when you're good your pizza is so good.

I hate leaving a bad review, especially with a restaurant I want to like. This was about my 3rd time visiting, and I've gotten take out a few times before. Usually, we'd get a "medicine wheel" cheese pizza, and it's pretty good. Tonight, there was a wait for 2 people, which was understandable. We were seated in the middle area of the restaurant where it was louder and not as nice as the booths near the entrance. We were served quickly but made the mistake of ordering the "Homemade Sausage" pizza. You'd think with a name like that, sausage would be the main topping...or at least visible. When our waiter brought out the pizza, they asked if we needed anything. I glanced around the table and asked for napkins. They pointed out there were some between the plates, then walked off. There were 3 napkins there. I don't know about you, but my hands get a little dirty eating brick oven pizza. Then there was the pizza itself... I like mushrooms, I don't LOVE mushrooms. I saw that this particular pizza included mushrooms in the toppings, but this was a mushroom pizza. It was COVERED. The mushroom taste overpowered the pizza, and my partner pulled most of his off. We briefly considered ordering something else but didn't want to wait, and the waiter didn't come back anyway. After eating half of my first piece, I looked to see if it contained any actual sausage. It was actually pretty difficult to find, but there were some small chopped up pieces. Occasionally I'd get a bite with some sausage on it, but mostly it was mushroom pizza. For $24, big fail. The waiter never came back to ask how it was. Maybe they already knew. When they did bring the check, I asked for a box to take it home since my teenager loves mushrooms (it was even too much for him). The box they brought us was sort of a joke. Still nearly half a pizza left and the box looked like it was for a salad. I stacked the pizza slices to get them to fit, paid the bill and left. I'm sorry to say we most likely won't be returning. There aren't many dine-in pizza places in the area, but lots of choices for take out.

The pizza and cocktails were fantastic! The salad wasn't that great but no biggie. My husband thought the pork on the Maui pizza was superb. We'll definitely be coming back.

Excellent place for family and friends on any day of the week. Pizzas are delicious and fireplace ambience is inviting. We enjoy every time we come here. Service by friendly staff makes you want to order more

My brother wanted pizza- one of his favorite comfort foods- and there was a place he really wanted to try! We arrived early- so we hit up Barnes and Noble until the restaurant opened & we were the first through the door. We snagged a booth in the sun & started looking at the menu. The server brought us water and also let us know they could do halves on pizzas. His intention was to let us know in case we wanted to split a pizza- instead we both ordered a split pizza each and got to try more than one! Yay!!! I ordered a half Cheese and Herb (Mozzarella, Parmesan, homemade garlic oil and a blend of organic herbs) and half Revolution (wood-fired cauldron tomato sauce, organic caramelized onions, organic mushrooms, mozzarella & parmesan, homemade garlic oil and a blend of organic herbs). Basically I got half cheese bread and half pizza!!! Josh went with the half Revolution and half Homemade Sausage. All the ingredients are farm fresh and they have a big chalkboard that lists all the local places they get all their foods from. It's quite impressive not to mention very tasty. Farm fresh is simply amazing food. I also loved the décor! Eclectic- looked to be plenty of local art! From the hand blown glass globes for lights, to the giant rocks that gave an entry feel into the big dining room, to the different doodles on the cover of each menu. And the big blazing fire at the back of the dining room as they cook up a storm is also impressive! If I lived in the area I could see this as a regular place I would go.

Overall good experience, would return. The winter drink (pictured), 1 beer and 1 pizza came out to $50.

Love coming here when in the area and have a hankering for flatbread pizza (which is usually 24/7). The open atmosphere and kitchen are neat. The noise level is a wee bit loud, but the rotating ale at the bar soothes my pain. Pizzas are creative and use wholesome local ingredients. Kind of an earth friendly approach. On our latest visit, we chatted with the boss man, who was a pleasant chap. All the staff work hard and have a great deal youth to meet the pace.

Still really tasty pizza, organic ingredients, thin crust and good balance/ratios. Just sometimes it has to much "chew" and not the best leftover or reheated unless you spend the time to do or right in the oven. Great for large groups and work lunches! Good to eat in person and a fun date day addition to shopping in the shops!

I hadn't been to American Flatbread in Canton, CT in a few years. It was exactly how I remembered it! Food was great! Our server was perfect! And the Ambiance was super fun and family friendly! Looking forward to a return visit soon!

Great local pizza with such an outstanding setting. From the moment you sit down the place smells like you're about to get some good food. Lots of choices and specials that can accommodate even the pickiest eater. With organic ingredients and gluten free options flatbread is overall a great choice for takeout or dining in. Also if you like a flavorful spice try the mango haberno hot sauce.

Saw there was a happy hour menu, so we tried the meatballs and pizza for apps and she got the Pinot Grigio and I tried the Cabernet. I could only get down barely half the glass of cab and when I called her over to send it back, she never asked if it was ok etc. or why I did t finish it. And I did ask her how the cab was before I ordered it and she said great! Clearly never tried wine before. I also saw that I was charged for the bad wine. No biggie, but in a better place they would have tried to make it right. I tried a Hendrick's and tonic next, and the tonic water was definitely flat. I tried to ask nicely if the tonic water was flat and she never even tried it, just saying oh no, it's fine. Very disappointed with that service and the drinks were terrible. As for the food, they might not have any spices in the kitchen as the meatballs could have had some seasoning added so they didn't taste so bland! Pizza was eh at best. Someone should teach them about salt and how a little bit brings out the real flavors! We won't go back...the wait staff seemed more interested in talking to each other than they did the customers. And the side of the bar nearest the door was cold as they kept one set of doors open, so always a cold blast coming in. No wonder so many restaurants are failing these days.
