Pepperoni pizza w/ Xtra cheese, at Cherry Brook Pizza & Grocery in Canton, CT.

Pizza is decent, other menu items, not so much. We have had various grinders and the chicken parm dinner -- mediocre to average, at best. My recommendation -- stick with the pizza. FYI: Also, they are not a lottery retailer. I found this a bit surprising, since you have to walk through a grocery section to get to the cash register.

Delicious and delivered quickly for free. We ordered a large with various toppings and it met our expectations. Would recommend.

Ordered online, get there and they forgot to make my pizza. Waited 10 minutes and they gave me a half raw pizza that was gross.

On a spectacular weather like today, you can't beat the beautiful patio and covered porch. Just a terrific place to come with your family, a date or even by yourself. And that they have specials on a Tuesday afternoon (and are still serving breakfast), is amazing. I had the Crab Cake Benedict with the sauce on the side. This was one of the best crab cakes I've ever enjoyed ~ not fishy at all. Couldn't have enjoyed our food and company more.

I ordered a sandwich that came with pepper jack cheese and a chunky tomato spread, which I asked for on the side. The spread had a familiar taste, similar to salsa. The sandwich was supposed to come with bacon, but it was accidentally left off. Once I mentioned it, they brought it out on the side. I also ordered pancakes and added cream cheese and strawberries. The pancakes were just okay. nothing special, but not bad either. I enjoy trying different local spots whenever I'm in the area, so I always go in excited for the experience. Overall, this visit was decent. It was a little difficult finding this location at first, but there is a directory in the plaza that helps guide you to what you're looking for.

Quality is still good, price and portion are askew…read more We came here as a quick sandwich bite on our way around the state. Service was good, and the ambiance is still lively. The still tastes good, with some exceptions. The frier oil seemed burnt, so the pickle chips we had just had that little bit of carbon taste on them. The pickle chips batter was very thick, and the mayo was the only respite. The sandwich, still tasty, seemed much smaller than normal, the meat still had good flavor, but the portion was lighter in comparison. The prices are also a bit high. The sandwich coming out to about 15 bucks. The bargain is very much gone now, and the portion is okay for a sandwich but pricy because of this shrinkage. Not shown are the overcooked onion rings. We returned those and the server promptly removed them from the bill. So really good customer service. I opted for a brownie for dessert, and the brownie was a disappointment. Too sugary, no flavor, gummy, and disappointingly small and thin. A detractor for sure. As a deli, it feels like it's on the decline. I know things are pricier now, but what you pay vs what you get doesn't match up. I'm hoping they pivot from this path, but right now it's no longer my go-to. It's still tasty, just pricy

From the moment you see the elegant vintage sign and bright red double doors, you know you're in for something authentic. The interior feels warm and welcoming, with a big, clear menu board that makes ordering easy. They have a solid selection of hot and cold sandwiches, breakfast options, and coffee. I went with one of their specials -- it looked like a chicken cutlet or eggplant variation with fresh greens (possibly arugula), roasted red peppers or similar, and what appeared to be a touch of egg or cheese. Whatever it was, it was excellent. The sandwich came on a perfect crusty Italian roll -- the bread was fresh with a great chew and slight crisp on the outside. The fillings were generous, flavorful, and well-balanced. The greens added a nice peppery bite that cut through the richness of the protein and any sauces. It was one of those sandwiches where every bite tastes just as good as the last. Service was friendly and efficient (the guy behind the counter was busy but still took time to make sure everything was right). The place has that old-school deli atmosphere mixed with modern touches -- exactly what you want when you're craving a quality sandwich. If you're in the area and looking for a no-nonsense, delicious deli sandwich made with care, Petraroia Deli is worth a visit. I'll definitely be back to try more from the hot sandwich list (the Porchetta and Chicken Cordon Bleu both caught my eye). Pro tip: Check their hours -- they appear to be closed on Mondays. *Highly recommend the fried artichoke sandwich. .
