Went here for a late night bite. We had a party of 7. Food was good, did a family style salad that was more than enough for everyone. We tried a nice variety of pizzas, all were very good. Place is open and spacious, I really appreciate that they don't pack in too many tables and there are level changes and railings to break things up. This was a great place to meet a friend to catch up on our lives - lots of seating options (booths, chairs, and sort of study areas), and with the open design you can watch your pizza being cooked. There were options for white and red pizzas, and the smaller size is definitely more then enough for one person, but not for two unless you're just nibbling. They have lots of flyers for local businesses and events in their foyer which were interesting to read, as well as an ATM if you need cash. They did accept credit cards as payment though. read more

Had the following experience a few months ago and forgot to mention until now: I absolutely LOVE the salad here, and always order it with goat cheese. Unfortunately, when I went a few months ago I was told that they were out of goat cheese. I was very disappointed and told my waiter that I would rather just order pizza instead. Although I wasn't mad, he was very apologetic and even went out of his way to offer me a complimentary salad. I didn't take him up on the offer (the goat cheese is just TOO good to go without) but I was very impressed with how he handled the situation. I've worked in the food industry, I understand that businesses run out of ingredients. It was my waiter's generous offer and graciousness that really impressed me. Anyway, aside from that, I love Jimmy's Free Range more than just about anything else in the world. And the atmosphere of Flatbread is comfortable and welcoming. Great place. read more

This is a terrific concept. Organic, focus on the community. For that alone, they should get 5 stars. They really do help a lot of local organizations. But here's the problem: On such a night, the place gets overwhelmed. The oven can only hold so many pizzas and it can get backlogged. We were told a wait for a table was 40 minutes so we ordered takeout. Told it would take 20 minutes for 2 pizzas --- it took nearly an hour. I hate being told bad information much worse than having to just wait. Even on nights when we've eaten there, it just tends to move slowly. As for the food, its good. But there aren't a lot of choices on the menu. Its also more "gourmet" pizza, good crisp, but kind of boring toppings. I've heard a lot of positive reviews about Flatbread so decided to finally check it out last night. In all fairness, I didn't try an actual flatbread, but had a salad, so maybe I should give it a second shot, but I was not impressed. The salad was $8.75 for an organic salad plus peppers and mushrooms. It was basically your standard side salad with nothing special. Our salads came piled on small plates (maybe 6" diameter?) and every attempt to get some lettuce on the fork caused an avalanche of salad to fall onto the table. It would have made more sense to serve these in bowls. I ate about 1/4 of my salad before I gave up - by that point, most of the lettuce had been on the table at least once, and I don't know how well the tables are cleaned between services. Anyway. We were there for about an hour and a half and no one ever came to refill our waters or ask if we needed anything else. We had to flag down the waitress to ask for the check and then to get her to take our cards. It wasn't overly busy, so I'm not sure why we were passed by so often. I wasn't really impressed by the service. I'll go back another time to try a flatbread and will update my review. read more

Flatbread Company makes a decent, different pizza. A few years back we went to the original flatbread up in VT and it was a great experience so we were pretty happy to see this off-shoot opening down here .. We have eaten here a handful of times and never been disappointed - its always thin and crispy here, one time it came out too crispy and they brought it to the table anyway and told us they were making another one that wont be quite as burnt, a few minutes later we had another pizza .. that made a great breakfast. the only thing that sucks sometimes is they get super busy at prime meal-time and you have to wait and you see all these great looking pizzas coming out ... they always have some interesting special pizzas .. we have had local grown organic beets on our pizza here, lots of other stuff too. check out the board when you walk in. If you have kids they will probably like sitting on the stone slabs around the big fire mounds and watch the pizza makers busy at work cooking with wood that they split right there.. read more

Been here a couple of times but my opinion remains the same. Flatbreads are ok but nothing special that I would go out of my way for... we usually end up here after shopping around the Shoppes. This time around we arrived at around 2pm (after the lunch rush). We waited for like 5 minutes before someone finally came to greet and seat us. Let me remind you again, this was after lunch and there weren't a lot of people to begin with (as the picture shows). The staff were friendly but maybe they were short staffed so I can't blame them for the lapse in service. Their choices of salad was minimal and basic. Additionally, we ordered their cheese and herb flatbread and the Kahlua pork flatbread. The cheese and herb was ok. As I previously mentioned, the flatbreads are ok. I wished they seasoned their flatbreads better and not just rely on their sauces because a big portion of the crust was just dry and flavorless without the sauces and toppings. However, we did enjoy the kahlua pork flatbread. It was well seasoned and all the topping choices complemented each other well. read more

I love their salads!!! I also live that the company is very civic minded. It seems like every week they're donating a portion of their proceeds to a local cause. The wood pizza oven is impressive. Fun to see them cooking your food right there. I'm not a huge fan of their flatbread. I don't think it comes close to my other local favorites. I also feel like it's a bit pricey, but that's probably because they do a lot of organic and free range, grain fed meat as well as charity donations. Stopped here for an early dinner. The weather was actually nice so we sat at one of the picnic benches outside. Surprisingly we were one of only two couples sitting outside. Our waitress was great. She never forgot about us once! We split an organic salad and my husband let me have all of the seaweed. We then split a small organic chicken pizza which had corn, tomato, onions, and a lime marinade. So far it was the best flatbread that we have had. We even tried some really good organic hot sauce from Maine. Its called Chachi Voodoo and it is awesome. I definitely need to track a bottle down! Lastly we topped off our meal with dessert. If I wasn't pregnant there would be no way I'd order dessert :) We had the oven warmed gingerbread with pumpkin spice ice cream which come from J. Fosters located down the road. I came here with a friend today. We shared two small pizzas... The canton community ($11) and the carne special ($13.50). The portions were large and we had plenty left over. I personally liked the Canton community better. Only complaint is that the toppings were very unevenly spread out. Some slices were covered in mushrooms and others had none. We first experienced the flat bread pizza in New Hampshire when traveling with the family and we loved it! It was exciting to find one locally. I have to say it was disappointing. The menu was completely different and felt kind of limited compared to what we were able to order elsewhere. The service was rather slow on a not so busy afternoon. This made it more surprising when the pizza came and one of them was not hot. 4 stars for consistently excellent food and service, year after year, and their commitment to community. I always stop by Flatbread during my annual pilgrimage from Florida to visit my parents. I count down the days until I can return. I usually go with a friend or my mom, but this time I shared the experience with my fiancé, Adam. Adam is from South Florida, and even though Florida is essentially an extension of the Northeast, he doesn't have the same pizza education as those of us lucky enough to live in the Tri-state area. To be honest, I thought the Flatbread vibe would be to weird for him. All natural and organic ingredients? A legitimate wood fired oven? Arame seaweed in the salad?? The closest frame of reference Adam had was Mellow Mushroom - and that's not even close to the same thing. We ordered a pepperoni & mushroom with the maple fennel sausage on half. Adam wanted to order a salad as an appetizer to share, but I held off. I've had it before and I love it, but I didn't want the seaweed to scare Adam off. The flatbread was delicious. My normal pizza place didn't open on Monday so I decided to try this place. I drove very far to get here and wish I wasn't disappointed but I am. The hostess suggested to me that I should sit at the bar because I was by myself so I wouldn't take up the table spaces. I went to the bar but the service was slow because you are waiting on the bartender to get your food order. It wasn't the bartender fault but the way the restaurant is organize. No one help the bartender get the food, he had to tend the bar and get food. He didn't have time to tell me that they had vegan cheese or explain that their pepperoni is like sausage. The wait for the pizza was pretty long almost 30 mins for a small pizza. I didn't like the crunchy feel from eating am the seeds or other type of seasoning on my pizza. At first I thought it was sand... The menu was confusing with the prices.. Their menu online had different prices than the prices on their actual menu. The bartender was very nice but I would never come back for the food. Pretty expensive for so so food and a poor/bad experience. Note: I am slightly allergic to dairy (cream, milk, and cheese). After eating this pizza, I start feeling sick. They definitely used some type of dairy on their sauce or near this pizza... Going to the hospital now. Yup never coming back. read more

Really, really happy that I was introduced to Flatbread Company via a Yelp Elite Event. Otherwise, I may never have ventured out to Canton to discover this great place. First off, this place completely changed my expectation of what a flatbread is. I always envisioned flatbread as a thick, mealy, pita bread. I never expected it to be this crispy, golden, wood oven-fired disc of goodness! I think I got to try the chicken fajita, Southwestern, and mushroom/onion pizzas. Every one of them was delicious, but my favorite was probably the chicken fajita one. You can taste how fresh and full of flavor the organic ingredients really are. I will ALWAYS support companies that source locally. I was happy to hear that they make gluten-free pizza, which I would like to try next time. You can tell by the pep in their step and the twinkle in their eye when they describe their pizzas. that the employees are passionate about what they do.
