There was only one family ahead of me when I entered, who was asking questions about bean recommendations. The person at the order counter was really helpful providing them with good information. When it was my turn to order, it was quick since I had already selected beans that I wanted to purchase, and my oat latte. Option was asked if I wanted to dine in or takeout, and I went with the latter. After I got my drink, I took a seat on one of the benches they have outside the store. There's also a decent amount of indoor seating and an outdoor patio section in front of the store. Not my first time trying Nemesis since I've been to Vancouver before, but definitely a reminder of why they are listed as one of the World's 100 Best Coffee Shops. If I wasn't so full from brunch, I would have also gotten one of their pastries. Seeing them all was very tempting.

We were hoping they were more flaky but that wasn't the case. The flavors were good though. A lot to choose from! The one we had was their matcha mango yuzu cruffin. They only offered two options for pourovers. Couldn't really taste the flavor notes for either one of them. Maybe I'll have better experience next time!

According to the website, this chain is named after the owner's golden retriever. It sure looks happy. Parking is available in front of the building, as well as along various village side streets. The inside is nice and modern. Funky looking speaker system (it's functional) in the corner. Great view of the water. There are also a couple of outdoor tables to the E of the building. Staff are friendly and cheerful. No complaints. The doughnuts are a bit pricey but they sure are delicious. I really like "Asian" style doughnuts as they are less sweet than their western counterparts. I had the matcha cream and could definitely taste the matcha. Will be trying their other locations at some point. Recommended.

The drive itself led us to an incredible bay that genuinely felt like we'd been transported to Alaska--calm, wild, and breathtaking--and then there was this cozy little gem waiting for us. Any place named after a dog and so welcoming to dogs instantly wins my heart. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, even though the place was bustling with happy locals and travelers alike. Every pastry in the case looked beautiful and tempting, making it nearly impossible to choose. The coffee, though--absolutely perfect. Smooth, balanced, and exactly what you want on a crisp morning adventure. Goldie's felt like one of those special finds you don't plan for but remember long after. If you're anywhere nearby, it's a must-stop.

My boyfriend lined up at 9:30am for a 10am opening and there were already 25 people ahead of him. By the time the store opened, the line was over two blocks long. I heard the line up was up to 2 hours long later that day so to say that Angus T is a hit is a bit of an understatement. This is a cute location where the emphasis is on sweet and savoury croissants but they offer Danish, cinnamon buns, tea, and coffee options. We ordered the limited offering of the strawberry creme croissant plus got a regular croissant, onion jam & bacon, pistachio & raspberry, and ham & cheese. All of these croissants were DELICIOUS and the regular croissant brings me memories of Paris! Yes, they are pricey but at around $1.50 to $2.50 more than a croissant from Starbucks a block away, it is well worth it as a treat. I look forward to tasting more flavours and taking friends here to catch up over a delicious croissant and hot cup of tea. The River District neighbourhood needed a cute café like this and so glad they are finally open. Pro tip: if enjoying the treats at home, reheat the croissants in low heat. They taste better warm!

Also, they always give you a little coconut treat along with your drink, which I have always found to be a nice touch. The baristas are always so nice and welcoming, and I think they're actually Turkish as well. Also, the inside of the shop is so cute, lots of plants and sunlight. Honestly, this is one of my favorite coffee shops in Vancouver, there's something about the vibe here and the coffee that just brings me a lot of joy. I haven't really tried their pastries yet but I am looking forward to do so when I have a sweet tooth! Because of how this place makes me feel and the quality of the coffee, this deserves 5 stars for me.

The cafe is cute and clean, with a surprising amount of seating for a small space. We ordered a Pistachio Croissant and a Pain au Chocolate. The Pistachio Croissant was the better of the two. A delicious, crispy top, though I would have loved a bit more filling inside. The Pain au Chocolate was solid but standard--exactly what you'd expect, but nothing extraordinary. They also have a lot of other desserts and savory sandwiches. They might be great, but we didn't get to try them this time.

The outdoor seating area up top alone is worth the quick stop, with mountain and water views making it feel like a mini-destination than just another roadside café. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, with plenty of tables ideal for stretching your legs and enjoying the view. I came in the middle of a Thursday afternoon and there were no crowds, so service was fast. I believe there are gluten-free and vegan options as well. Definitely worth pulling over for a quick bite/refreshment!
