3.5/5 This cafe has a good amount of seating and natural lighting. They have many food options as well a bit pricey but it makes sense during these times. I got their egg bite which was on the salty side. I also ordered the brown sugar oat latte iced which was pretty tasty and not too sweet. Overall a decent spot on W Broadway. Their sandwiches were $11+ I'll come back to try more.

Second time here and quite impressed. They have a range of goodies, with plenty Vegan options. The best feature about Dalina is they have a lot of ready made sandwiches and beverages for someone on the go. Theirs a lot of construction outside unfortunately at the moment but I think this hidden gem is an essential part of the Broadway business community. Great place for lunches. They even have packaged smoothie cups, that you can take home and blend on your own. They look tasty.

Cute cafe with friendly staff! I tried the brown sugar oat latte and it was a bit watery for my liking but the flavour was alright. They had a handful of unique drink options that i'm definitely interested in trying - I just hope they have a better consistency than the latte.

I stopped by Dalina to get my day going with a cappuccino and I received some beautiful yummy latte art! I decided to enjoy it outside on their small patio and thought that this is a nice metaphor... it's not only beautiful outside, but it's also beautiful inside. The clean chic environment inside is the perfect place to do some work (after Covid restrictions) or catch up with a friend over a drink and a bite to eat. I really like all the food options whether it's something bigger to have as meal or a little sweet snack. They also have essential grocery items that would be super convenient if you live in the area or if it's on your way home. And the staff.. they're PHENOMENAL! They make me feel like they appreciate my business and they also have fun personalities!

Macro bowl + oat milk latte

I love Dalina's first location in Chinatown, so I was really excited to visit their new location on Broadway. This location is smaller than their Chinatown counterpart, but nonetheless still serves up the same delicious coffee and treats. This location unfortunately doesn't have a deli with healthy dishes, but they do have an assortment of vegan treats, bowls, and sandwiches. I opted for the macro bowl this time around which had quinoa, sweet potatoes, beets, and greens. I love Dalina's sweet potatoes, so I scarfed that down really quickly. The bowl was the perfect size and very filling. To drink I got their oat milk latte. I'm usually an almond milk or coconut milk kinda gal, but I've been drinking a lot of oat milk lately and was really happy to see that Dalina serves and carries oat milk. Delicious, delicious, delicious! I love their white minamilistic decor and the pop of colour that the chairs give to the cafe. I also love that they have a small little grocery (similar to their Chinatown location, but smaller) which carries local businesses' products. Always awesome to see local supporting local. I'm on Broadway often for work meetings, so this location will definitely be making it on my regular coffee shop rotation.

First day open to general public, lots of foot traffic as many people came to check it out. Several small tables for people to setup a laptop, some smaller tables for standing room only. Can get pretty loud in there as people voices echo so avoid it you need a quiet workspace The staff are super cheerful, and they have things really smoothly considering it's their first day open! I enjoyed my cacao turmeric soy latte immensely, friends' lavender London fog was too sweet for my tastes (but has a very delicious lavender bergamot earl grey flavor to it) and hibiscus ginger kombucha was really good. We shared a regular croissant, pretty good for North America (and one of the top on the list for Vancouver)

Great location for this little coffee shop/cafe. It modern minimalist decor. I can see professional come here for causal meetings. Great coffee. They also have packaged food to go. Vegan choices available. Wheelchair accessible. There's a ramp. How thoughtful.

Great service, clean and great aesthetic very different in comparison to the Chinatown location. Lots of comfy seating in great forecast of many group meetings and get togethers from customers. Only negative about my visit was that the cashier didn't ask if I was eating in or taking out and presented my bun in a take away container and a paper cup for my coffee. Not major but as much I can use something reusable I will.

Decent addition to the area! Good place to stop in for a quick coffee. There is also a good amount of seats inside if you like to stay and relax. Staff were friendly and efficient! Baked goods seem tasty, my apple crumble was really good. They also have a lot of ready to go salads and sandwiches that I will have to try next time. Inside is clean and sleek. I'd come back. *they also do kombucha on tap.

There are several cafe on broadway and this is definitely the most instagram-able one. I ordered latte and a breakfast bacon sandwich, which cost me $11,12 Canadian dollars. It is a bit expensive but the sandwich does taste very good. Just a bit guilty to have so much calories for breakfast...

Beet salad and butternut squash soup. Delicious!
    Nancy K.

Oh yum! I am having a delicious lunch of butternut squash soup and beet salad. I am drooling over the flavors in my food. I have had sandwiches and pastries here before that have also been good. Nice bright location.... carbonated water freely on tap. I like it here and recommend it if in the neighborhood.- located at corner of Broadway and Oak.

This place is pretty clean and funky. Coffee is always fresh. Food is fresh. Place is modern and staff is friendly. It's one of the better coffee places around I'm the area with healthy snack choices

In Illinois, we used to have many IGA's in smaller towns, especially in the more rural parts of the state. They were always reliable little grocery stores with a good selection of your basic needs and many were put out of business by Walmart. Imagine my surprise to find this gem in a bustling Canadian city! There was a really nice selection of produce, as well as anything else you could need from the grocery store. The deli counter had a great selection and the person there was really charming and helpful and giving some recommendations on salads I have not heard of before. The store seemed very clean and efficiently organized for maximizing what can be offered in an urban grocery store. Plus, as an American, it was m fun to walk around the aisles and see what's the same or different.

It is a split opening. You either walk into IGA or Home Sense. The store is very small inside and almost a triangle/wedge shape, which made it difficult to navigate. The aisles are very narrow and very tall. I was overwhelmed by all the close proximity of things and people so basically cruised through then left. I had wanted to buy some chips but I am not sure if this particular store is expensive or that is just the price of things but I didn't find anything I wanted to buy. Lines were long and near the exit (which is already a long, narrow entrance). Upon entering the store there was a pop up tent out front of the store and someone was selling fresh fruits and vegetables. Not sure if they are an outside vendor or affiliated with the store. I assume that if I had gone to a store not in downtown it may have been larger, more spread out and less expensive. I assume that the aisles are tall and narrow as a space is at a premium and they are trying to fit the most amount of product in to cater to people.

Saw this huge building with a couple of shops on the ground floor including a Starbucks. Loblaws is on the second floor. The place is nice and clean. Lots of cooked food choices. Price and servings were reasonable. I ordered a quarter sized ribs with korean noodles as my side. Don't ask me why. I just did. Never heard that pairing before! But wish I ordered some potatoes or veggies instead! There were lots of sides to choose from. Can you believe this was $8? It's their $8 menu, available everyday. Can't go wrong with that! Took it to the self serve counter and paid for it. Then went around the back where they have plenty of tables to enjoy my lunch. There are microwaves to heat my order. The area is really clean. After my meal, went downstairs where they have plenty of places to sit, study, read, hangout. This place is great! They have a nice membership gym on the third floor as well! I liked the cooked food area where you can see the staff cooking and prepping the food. So fresh. I was the there around 10 am and the lunch items were not ready yet. They were still serving breakfast stuff. The bakery section had freshly baked bread which looked pretty amazing. Around $4-5 for a loaf. I was enticed by the cakes and the prices were decent. They ranged from $15 to $30 for 5" and 8" round cakes. Some had 50% off. So I found out the cakes with 50% discount are about 6-7 days old. So it will be best to eat it that day or next day. It also makes me wonder how do we know which cakes are made on that day. NGL, I did get a cake with 50% off. It was NYE and it would be a treat for the family and friends to try it. With the discount it came to $15. Awesome price in today's time. I got the truffle royale cake which looked like a tuxedo cake. It was recommended by the staff. It was delicious, not overly sweet. I would get cakes here again. Docked a star off for the payment area. At 10+ am, there was only self check out available. Only after the self check out line area was busy, then a customer service counter started serving people buying stuff. There was no staff in the self check out area to assist until later when more people had issues. I needed a staff to take 50% off the sticker price. Even after payment, the machine/kiosk did not register payment to print receipt even though the screen indicated payment was made. The staff had to try many times before it was fully processed. The staff was busy helping 3 other customers besides me at the self check out. Either that morning was an anomaly or they need to look into getting a new system or more staff to help.
