What a delicious, reliable, and cost effective meal! We find ourselves stopping at Mr. Shawarma every time we're in the downtown area. The folks working there are very nice, accommodating, and work quickly to get our food out to us. Parking is of course the biggest hurdle but it's worth it in the end. We like to ask for our wraps cut in half since they're usually cut into several smaller pieces. The fries are crispy and the sauce on the side is decadent! Tried this spot as I saw that it was highly rated here on Yelp and on Google as well, plus I always saw lines outside this food truck so I decided to give it a try. I got their chicken shawarma plate, which came with chicken, rice, a small salad, pita, hummus, and garlic sauce. I think the chicken was the best part of the dish, but it found the pieces to be small and on the drier side, not the juicy and flavourful meat I was expecting. The rice and salad were decent, but I was pretty disappointed in the pita and the garlic sauce. The pita was untoasted and almost tasted stale. The garlic sauce tasted suspiciously like store-bought caesar dressing.. complete with the black pepper and parmesan taste. Perhaps I was mistaken and it really was their "house-made" recipe, but I was expecting authentic toum, not Hidden Valley. We stopped by this food truck when we were exploring downtown. It is in a central location, close to a metro stop which was great. The service is very fast even though there was a line of four to five people. Because it's a food truck there are any places to sit. However, it's close to a lot of shops so it's easy to walk and eat or sit on the benches across the street. I got the grilled steak shawarma wrap. The food was delicious!! It was savory, spicy, and packed with flavorful meat. It didn't look like a lot at first but I was full by the end. The cost is also fairly cheap which I love. We ordered four meals for about 30 US dollars. I would definitely return and recommend this place to everyone. read more

I have not had a falafel wrap from a food truck since my university days (over 3 years ago now! wow!), and today I was just having a major craving while downtown. I'm a firm believer that falafels/shawarma taste better from food trucks/hole in the wall places than the fancy sit down Mediterranean restaurants. Mr. Shawarma's falafel wrap was mind blowing!! Honestly I might even say this was the best falafel wrap I've ever had in my life. It was huge (filled me up all day), well stuffed, and just perfectly seasoned. Every bite had falafel in it, the hummus, hot sauce, and tzaziki were well balanced. My favorite part was that the wrap had fries in it! And not soggy/old fries, but freshly made seasoned fries that were thicker almost like wedges. It was absolutely delicious, I'm still dreaming about this wrap. Best food truck I've had in ages (maybe ever?)! At $6.83 for a falafel wrap, you can't go wrong. read more

I wasn't really a fan of the picked veggies they put on top. Food does come quick and the service is friendly. I got the spicy chicken box and the hubby got an angry lamb box. Visited Vancouver recently and came across this truck. Had to give it a try. Best chicken shawarma I have ever had. Highly recommended.

Seriously they have the best falafels in the entire city including all the fancy Middle Eastern restaurants. Their falafel is always fresh, very crunchy on the outside but super soft inside and tastes delicious. The rice is also very tasty and I like the fact that they don't put any heavy seasoning/spices like cloves or cardamom to the rice (which I don't like) and it's very flavourful at the same time, not bland at all like regular steamed rice. I can just eat their rice itself without anything on it. The falafel platter is such a good value at $8 with all the toppings (the pink turnip pickles are sooo good) and sauces plus the pita bread. In the end it leaves you really full. I like this better than my second favorite - spicy box (the only difference is box also has fries instead of pita bread) but the platter is easier to eat I would say and also has salad. Also I love the service here. It's the best I've seen in a food truck. All employees are very friendly and smiling all the time just adding to your experience. Definitely give it a try! read more

Decided to take a peek at the menu and was surprised by how affordable the options were. Pita wraps starting at $7. I ordered a lamb pita, spicy with onions. I think it came to $8.50 which considering the size and ingredients I thought to be great value. It took less than 5 minutes to prepare and I was on my way. The wrap itself was good.
