Fantastic little Palestinian cafe that makes all the flatbreads fresh to order in the big taboon oven behind the counter. Manousheh is basically the Palestinian version of a pizza, and they have many good options to choose. I ordered the Manoush'eh Special plus a side of the spicy & chunky Muhammara dip -- delicious! Overall quite good, only critique is that it felt a bit expensive for what you are getting.

I gotta say that manakeesh is definitely comfort food. A nice hot tea, and fresh bread with zaatar or akawi cheese (or both!) warms my little heart right up. However, Manoush'eh takes comfort food to a whole new level. They have your classics of zaatar and jebneh but I couldn't leave without trying the manoush'eh special which is basically fully loaded with spiced ground meat, onions, pickles and jalapeño. Yet, their lentil soup wormed its way into my soul. It is a must-try! Super casual and limited seating (3 tables with 3 seats +/- a bench. The order process is quick, sweet and the staff are lovely.

Baba Ghanoush. Charged me a regular $10. Gave me a small.

If customer service of any kind is something you value...skip this place. I'll tell you why. I've been here before. Once. This is the second and last time I went to pick up lunch here. I walk in ....and the young girl at the counter looks at me like I just walked into her bedroom...that type of frigid vibe....so I say hello and no response. Their TV/menu overhead was not working, so I asked for a menu. She just pointed ....."up there"...I said your TV is not working there's no menu. Once she fixed it, I said thank you...and again no response. This was to-go. I ordered the Beef Kabab Wrap and instead she gave me a ground beef wrap. She charged me for a Regular Baba Ghanoush and gave me a small...(see pic.) What was interesting was when I was waiting for my order, I sat at one of the three tables they have. They had no other customers and were preparing my food. Since the table next to me were swearing non-stop in their less than intelligent conversation, I decided to put on my earbuds....the future of society is looking glorious...anyhoo. Some time passed by and I look up and she's behind the counter which was literally not two feet away...."Your Order!"... If I had sat there with my earbuds reading my emails...30 min could've gone by and she wouldn't have had the sense to...either let me know....or bring the order over to my table....the whole two feet. I can say this. This is one of the worst service I've gotten in a long time...maybe even ever. This is to the girl behind the counter. This isn't high school, I can assure you not one single customer cares about your teenage problems. Welcome to the Real World. Your very first news flash......you lost your first customer...congratulations!

Lebanese flatbread (basically a Middle Eastern pizza) place on Davie. Parking is pretty awful here. No idea what to say. The place is tiny. I think there were maybe 8 seats in total. Place is definitely meant more for takeout. Pricing is surprisingly low. Great value I must say. Lahm be ajeen with jebneh (cheese) - flatbread that is 1/2 covered in ground beef and 1/2 covered in cheese. As in the toppings aren't mixed. Think of Harvey Dent. Kafta - tasty flatbread with diced tomatoes and onions. This one was probably the most like a pizza. Mutabal + flatbread - bread with roasted eggplant dip. Nice and smoky. Just the right amount of mutabal to finish off the flatbread. Knafeh - looks a bit like a pumpkin pie. Basically a large melted blob of cheese at the bottom, with some crumbly stuff (bread crumbs?) and syrup on top. Actually works really well. Definitely something different. Learned a lot about Lebanese food here. Definitely worth checking out.

Love supporting a family owned local restaurant. I do hope I got a little bit more assistance ordering food I wasn't familiar with but the girl at the counter did try to help me out! Never had manoush'eh before but it was super tasty and the pita felt more light compared to actual pizza dough even tho they may look like pizza. Cool unique taste of Lebanese food!

I highly recommend Manoush'eh. They have so many great options whether you want a light snack or whether you want a full meal. All of their items are reasonably priced. They have a very tiny seating area so if you're here, with more than one person, don't really expect to find a place to sit but this is perfect place for someone wanting a bite alone or if you have one other person with you. I can't wait to come back and try other items on their menu. I would describe them as simple but delicious.

I got the chicken wrap and the spicy chicken flatbread. Both were succulent and freshly baked in the wood fired oven. The servers were very helpful and gave some great suggestions. This is a cute hole in the wall place.

half a half-and-half, half a traditional - index finger for context about size of their lahmajun

So I'm still playing catch-up on reviews of places we visited on our Alaska cruise trip last June, which I suppose is fitting since that cruise was supposed to have been in 2020. In the iteration that actually ended up happening, we flew into Vancouver a couple days before leaving out of Vancouver via cruise ship bound towards Anchorage. I wish we'd stayed in Vancouver another day, though - there's certainly a lot of great food! This was actually the first food we had when we landed, too - we were pretty excited, as lahmajun is both delicious and kinda hard to find. We were also exhausted after flying all day, though, so despite staying at a hotel like half a mile away, we were silly tourists and Doordashed it to the hotel, so we could eat while we unpacked. It arrived fresh, less than 20 minutes later(!) - I'm sure they would've been even better if we'd eaten it there, but they were still great eaten at the hotel, too. We ordered two lahmajun: the traditional meat one, and the "half and half" (zaatar on half, cheese on half). I've only had lahmajun a couple other places, so I don't have a wide range of reference, but theirs are great, the dough is great, the meat is great, really my only complaint was that our *particular* "half-and-half" was more like 75% zaatar, 25% cheese, and they were both equally good. Two lahmajuns are definitely enough food for two people unless they're absolutely famished, which we weren't - I wish we had been, though, cause I would've liked to try more of them! Everything on the menu looks good, and they're totally reasonably priced for how good they are. If I'm ever back in Vancouver, I'd definitely go back (ideally, actually visiting them in person instead of Doordashing.)

I was sitting inside Manoush'eh on a cold and wet October evening, munching away at the warm wrap in my hands, listening to the rain and muted conversations outside the window, and I thought for a brief moment, "Am I in New York City??" Eating here reminded me of popping in off a busy sidewalk to grab some late night pizza in New York at a nondescript joint that you know is going to be good. This place is small, that's for sure. But they make up for it with the size of the owner's kindness and genuineness and the portions. Everything is made to order, and it's fun to watch the staff bake food in the stone oven at the front. They are clearly masterful and what they do, and it's evident in the taste as well. In both my beef wrap and my friend's falafel wrap, the flavor complexity was incredible, and the texture of the bread was perfect. The labneh was thick and tangy, making an excellent accompaniment to the wraps. The owner even threw in a couple of bottles of water on the house for us. I have been wanting to come here for so long, and now I am so glad I finally did. Next time, I want to try the knafeh and lentil soup. Maybe next time will be tomorrow...

This is a small restaurant in Yaletown but has very authentic vibe. There is seating available but I got a take out. They are very welcoming and quick in service. I ordered falafel and it was baked fresh in front of me. I loved the flavors, except it was little bitter for me to use falafel as base and have tahini on it. But definitely worth a try.

    Lentil soup and Zaatar Manoush'eh

We had been eating our faces off in Vancouver for 24 hours, but a new day starts and you still need to eat. I wanted something light yet substantial enough to spend the day running around town. Manoush'eh was close to where I was staying. The namesake dish is a food I have loved for a long time but have rarely encountered after my initial introduction many years ago by a family of talented Lebanese cooks. I am going to eat Zaatar Manoush'eh if it's in my vicinity. We decided to eat in at the postage stamp sized shop that featured the Manoush'eh oven prominently. Three women ran the kitchen and oven of what appears to be a family business. Lentil soup also seemed like a good idea on a dreary day, and I added a side of veggies that include pickled turnip, tomatoes, mint and olives. I believe they usually roll these into their sandwich versions, but I added as I went. This food was everything I wanted: light, flavorful, yet grounding. The zaatar spice combination of sumac, thyme, sesame seeds and olive oil was a sharp flavor burst against the silky puréed yellow lentil soup. My only regret is that I didn't have the time or appetite to order and sample more than I did. The menu looks delicious! Zaatar Manoush'eh is a great place to start if you aren't familiar.

(Written by my 13 year old) Wats up slay sisters/bros/big backs! Today for din din we got Manoush'eh!! My fam got the falafel, chicken wrap, cheese bread (amazing), and two flatbreads. I could tell it was all home made, and the food group was a new experience for me. I thought it was scrumdiddly yum yum, and low key a vibe. Idk what the vibe was but it was feelin good. We got takeout and it didn't take long, and overall I can say this joint gets my stamp of slay. Periodddd!!!

Then they told us they had run out and would serve us Costco pita. Upon leaving we saw people with Lebanese pita. A group spending 1600 getting shafted on pita. Not cool and super cheap. My wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner and we were delighted. We ordered the Chefs Special Sampler for 2 - basically giving us a sampler of everything on the menu for $90 per person. We were really really full and couldn't finish it all. Highlights: - Chickpea Fetteh: warm delightful mixture of ground meat, chickpea sauce, with soaked pita at the bottom and crispy stuff in it. It just explodes with flavour and texture. - dip sampler: the hummus and eggplant mutabbah were really good but that pocket pita bread was out of this world good. Even the tabbouleh was good and my wife normally hates that. - the lamb tartare was AMAZING. It was kneaded so soft that it was practically a paste. When you combine it with the nuts and red spicy sauce and eat it with bread the combo is winning. - grilled Kibbeh and regular kibbeh - both really delightful - the grilled meat plate was great. In particular the chicken with the garlic tahini was really flavourful. The kabob mushrooms and peppers on top of smoked baba ganoush was soo good. Loved the smoke flavour. They finished by serving us baklava sampler which was all really good. From start to finish this is an experience for the ages.
