Recommend trying a little of everything! Will not disappoint.

Deeeelish! This Nuba location is my fave. The staff and booking person, Szymon are fab. Special mention to the crispy cauliflower, yum! The dips are outstanding. Enjoyed the potatoes! Drinks are fun and tasty, both cocktails and alcoholic beverages. Feels cozy but a good dining sized restaurant, sweet decor. All around, a great time every time at Nuba on 3rd.

My friends raved about this restaurant so I was pretty hyped up. We ordered a share plate for two, which was very small. My friend told me that it was significantly smaller than the last time they went there. We got desserts. The mouse was ok, but the crème brûlée was yucky. The service was friendly, but scattered and she went missing for awhile. I would give this place a second chance based in my friends ravings. The items on the platter were delicious, it was just too scanty. I would not order that again. I had to have a snack when I got home afterwards. But I may try them out again sometime. The restraint itself is quite pretty.

In my opinion the Mount Pleasant location is the best one out of the 4 (?). Have been quite a few times now. I don't feel gross after eating here (ingredients taste fresh, well-balanced). Flavourful. Great for sharing (i.e. would recommend coming with at least ~4 people. Recommendations: The Cauliflower is a must-try. The garlic sauce served with the chicken skewers is amazing.

I have visited them twice over 4 years. Food is good and consistent. Enjoyed our experience a lot. Platters are generous and you get to tey a variety of dishes.

I had the lamb ribs, these were perfect and my margarita was good. My score is base only on the ribs, service and ambience. Cause the sides on the dish were irrelevant. The humus needed flavor.

$65 2beef 2 chicken 4 prawns patato and cauliflower Enough for 1 person. Lol. What happened to this restaurant I loved.

Take out. Ridiculous price $65 for what this plate is. Feeds 1 person. Used to like Nuba.

Heard about Nuba through a friend and when M was in town, she wanted to check it out. Didn't realize they have three other locations (Yaletown, Kitsilano and Gastown). We dropped in on a rainy Wednesday afternoon (around 1:00pm). Place was packed! The decor is cheery, colourful and the vibe is laid back. Service is good and they come back often to refill your waters. The menu is split into salads, mezze, soups, lunch plates, pitas, to share and beverages. - La feast ($39.00) - two course vegetarian mezza sampler. You get la petit feast (hummus, taboulleh, baba ghanouj and pickled cabbage), Najib's special, mjadra, falafel, eggplant stew, fattoush salad, feta, olives and pickled cabbage. Pita comes with the dips (I think it's unlimited, you just have to ask for more). Baba ghanouj had a nice smokey flavour but the hummus was missing depth. The amount of taboulleh was a joke. Not even a baby spoon's worth. The eggplant stew and Najib's special (crispy cauliflower) were my two favourites from the main spread. The cauliflower had a fantastic acidity. The falafels were decent but a bit dry; they needed to be dipped into the sauces (hot sauce, tzatziki and tahini). The mjadra (green lentils with rice, onions and jalapeño) was average and the fattoush could barely pass for a real fattoush salad. If I were to come back, I wouldn't get the sharing platter. The dishes look pretty but I've had better Mediterranean in town.

NUBA X FIRST TABLE! We ended up going for a treat using first table to get 50% off our entire food bill and we chose nuba. First time at nuba and I'm not disappointed. * Hummus Mezze ($11.95) ~ OH SO GOOD the chickpeas were so good blended in prominent garlic, lemon and tahini seasoning. Pluus unlimited pita! Such a must have! * Najib's Special ($12.95) ~ best cauliflower ive ever had! It was so well seasoned and very crispy. The sauces with it was cherry on top as it complimented it so well! I 100% will come back for this! * Lamb hushwie ($14.95) ~ this was so good too, I was creamy and delicious, the lamb was so good with the hummus and avocado! * Halloumi cheese ($15.95) ~ JESUS never in my life have I been so in love, this was amazing and gooey and the pull was so good. The seasoning used and the sauce on top was the perfect pairing. * Spiced shatta prawns ($16.95) ~ this had a huge kick which I wasn't expecting. The kick was prominent and surprising. It was cooked nicely but the kick was too strong. * Pear & date salad ($15.95) ~ im not much for salad but this was an amazing salad, I would've ordered another one if we didn't have so much food! The pear and dates were sweet which complimented the entire salad so much 10/10 I wish they added this to the menu! * Americano ($3.50), & another cocktail (forgot price). * 9/10~ I really enjoyed the dishes here 100% will be back! The shatta prawns were a bit too powerful in the kick which overpowered the rest of the prawn flavour but otherwise everything else was amazing. * 10/10 ~100% recommend first table, not only is the portions good, its such a steal!!!! Total bill after discount $57.51 (3 people). (My bill was only $15.52, as I didn't have any drinks).

Their cauliflower was so delicious. Definitely highlight of the night.

Service here was very friendly and the interior is great. We went for dinner and enjoyed our meal but I would say the mezze plates are somewhat pricey for the amount you get. However, they have amazing lunch plates that I'd recommend!

    Chicken Tamook(?)

This place is awesome. It's a bit hidden right now based on all of the construction going on, but it's a great gem in the neighborhood. I had the chicken tamook (?) entree dish with rice and potatoes and also had a halloumi appetizer with tomatoes. Both dishes were well seasoned and full of flavor. You can also add their famous cauliflower on the side for only $4. I went with my family who has a number of allergies including gluten and dairy and they were very accommodating. Overall a great experience and I'll be back.

My friend and I shared the Mezza Sampler - Hot ($32), which included 2 falafel, 2 kibbeh, cauliflower, and halloumi fries. Each dish was quite good, but the highlight for me was definitely the fried cauliflower. It was served with tahini, tzatziki, and pita bread. I'd recommend this more for sharing, as it can get a bit greasy. Our other friends ordered the Lentil Soup (small - $5), served with bread crisps, and the Batata Narra ($10), which are potatoes in a tomato chilli sauce. It would have been nice to have some Arabic or oriental music playing in the background. Maybe also some rose saboun in the bathroom would have been nice!! (Ok I'm overdoing it...just sharing my two cents!) Overall food was good, but I think service could be improved. We ordered the cold mezze sampler platter for 3, and we were a party of 4 adults. The portion was good and everything was delicious. I'm GF, and they serve the dips with lettuce for free (or you can order a side of cucumbers for a small charge). The presentation was lovely. The only thing I didn't like was after a while all of the dips just get mushed together and you kinda don't know what you're eating anymore...Also we all loved the jalapeno hummus the most. We asked for arak and it wasn't served the right way...Our server forgot to bring an extra empty glass so that we can mix the arak with water (in the proportional way that we'd like). I asked for an empty glass for mixing in addition to another drinking glass because mine was broken (crack was big and the glass should be chucked out). Server forgot to get an empty mixing glass. We ordered a taouk pita wrap, but we got served a taouk platter instead. Anyhow she just wasn't very attentive. The mixed grill mezze platter was mostly yummy except for the kafta. All of us at the table couldn't have more than a bite of it. The meat was undercooked, and the taste of the lamb was too strong and off. Definitely didn't taste like the kafta we know. The chicken and the cauliflower were delicious. I'd be tempted to try Nuba at another location and sample other things off their menu. Happy eating!!

My wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner and we were delighted. We ordered the Chefs Special Sampler for 2 - basically giving us a sampler of everything on the menu for $90 per person. We were really really full and couldn't finish it all. Highlights: - Chickpea Fetteh: warm delightful mixture of ground meat, chickpea sauce, with soaked pita at the bottom and crispy stuff in it. It just explodes with flavour and texture. - dip sampler: the hummus and eggplant mutabbah were really good but that pocket pita bread was out of this world good. Even the tabbouleh was good and my wife normally hates that. - the lamb tartare was AMAZING. It was kneaded so soft that it was practically a paste. When you combine it with the nuts and red spicy sauce and eat it with bread the combo is winning. - grilled Kibbeh and regular kibbeh - both really delightful - the grilled meat plate was great. In particular the chicken with the garlic tahini was really flavourful. The kabob mushrooms and peppers on top of smoked baba ganoush was soo good. Loved the smoke flavour. They finished by serving us baklava sampler which was all really good. From start to finish this is an experience for the ages.

But I'm sure glad we did. The flavors here are at a complexity level above any Lebanese food that I've had elsewhere. Even the common dishes, such as hummus, baba ghanoush, and tabbouleh, all contain ingredients and spices that make them stand out and add a terrific level of complexity. For example, the tabbouleh includes not just interesting seasonings but also pomegranate seeds. It was not the only dish that was served with the addition of pomegranate. There was also a delightfully spicy sauce that seemed to be comprised of both pomegranate and harissa. The chef's tasting menu is a terrific way to sample most of the dishes on the menu. Our favorites turned out to be most of the cold course dishes that were served in the first of three rounds. This included: - Hummus - Baba ghanoush - Tabbouleh - A spice tray with a selection of olives As you would expect from a high-end Lebanese restaurant, the pitas are perfectly puffed and delicate. The hot dishes included lamb and chicken and were served on the traditional garlic sauce. The tasting menu concluded with an assortment of bite-sized pieces of baklava. If there was one shortcoming, it was the wine list. The white wines seemed to be of a singular note, although they were offered from four different countries. Unfortunately, they were out of the French Chardonnay, so I might be inclined to bring my own bottle the next time, assuming they have a corkage fee.
