Everything was so delicious. But it is a lot of food! Definitely recommend getting the set menu which always you to try a little bit of everything. We started with the salad, and it was a great peek into what our tastes buds were about to get into. Good salad with fresh dressing. We finished it so fast. Next was the fresh roti which was still expanding while it was placed infront of us but quickly deflated. But still steaming fresh! It was a big portion for 5 of us to all share. And there was 4 different dips (all very different) to try. Hummus, egg plant, tzakiki, and my favorite (whipped egg whites)? My fried time to try the whipped egg whites with garlic but damnnnnnnn was it fine! I practically liked that bowl clean. Garlic breath here I come! But the end of that, we were pretty satisfied even before getting to the other parts of the meal. We ordered some flat bread to share, but it was good. And so was the rice with three types of meat. But my favorite still came to th whipped egg whites. I kept mixing some of the dips into the flat bread as well as rice. It was that great. Highly recommend. Would go again! Yum yum!

We had the kafna, lamb shank, negroni, and kaftan. The venue was very busy on a Friday night but it wasn't a crazy wait to get a table for 2. The food was delicious, service friendly and nice, and the venue was good. The server told us that the entree came with the bread and the 4 Hummus so we didn't need to get more. I gave a 4 instead of 5 only because it didn't have a unique coffee and the decoration wasn't as amazing as other places I rated as 5. Maybe u expected more authentic decoration. Parking was easy near the area. They even provided free cardamom black tea :) I would recommend the place :)

Tasty but pricey Lebanese place in New Westminster. Parking is available on the side streets. The place is split into a kitchen/takeout area, and a L-shaped dining area. Staff are friendly. Special mention for the naan. Not sure how they make it, but it's the size of a cushion. Literally filled with steaming hot air, so try not to burn your hands off when you poke a hole in the thing. The naan itself is actually really thin, so the portion size actually isn't super big. The naan comes with 4 dips. Hummus - tasty. Garlic - my friends tell me this one is like crack. It is definitely tasty, but a bit on the salty side. Baba ghanouj (smoky eggplant) - on the tangy side. Eggplant pieces are thinly sliced and easy to scoop. Yogurt - also tangy and tasty. Cauliflower with rice - normally I'm not a fan of vegan stuff, but this one was actually pretty tasty. Basically it's baked cauliflower and other random vegetable slices with tahini (garlic) sauce. Cauliflower pieces were soft but not mushy. 1/4 kafta 1/4 chicken with rice - basically marinated ground beef and house marinated chicken. Decent taste but this dish sure is expensive for what you get. Good thing we ordered the other stuff, or we would've all left hungry. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point, though my wallet hurts.

Wow, Wild Thyme is definitely a delicious place to try Lebanese food if you haven't already! I love Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food, and food served here is fantastic! We were visiting Vancouver and Wild Thyme popped up as a highly rated restaurant near where we were staying, so we swung by on a Friday around 7pm and had a brief 2 minute wait to get seated. The ambience of the restaurant is very busy, as there was a constant flow of diners, and felt very open with windows and plenty of natural light. The service was fast even with the amount of diners in the restaurant and the servers were friendly. I got the three course lamb dish, which included a salad starter and pita bread. Salad + Sauces: The salad was fresh and had delicious citrus/slightly sour flavor - there was a vinaigrette that woke up your taste buds. The pomegranate seeds added a nice pop of texture and there was just an overall feeling of crispness. Onto the sauces, wow they are scrumptious! Each one was really smooth and had a deep flavor respective to what they were made with. I would say my favorite was the toum, as it was sour and had excellent garlic flavor - followed by the baba ganoush/hummus, and the yogurt. Pita Bread: The pita bread provided was one of the biggest and best pita breads I've had - it was delicious on its own with a light and fluffy texture, only further elevated by the four sauces that came with the salad. Lamb Main: Yum - This is a delicious and filling dish! Portions of the lamb were tender, and the meat had a firm and hearty texture. The sauce felt tomato based and went well with the rice and lamb, you could definitely taste the spices and herbs that went into the sauce and rice, which was further complemented by the acid in the lemon. I would say this was a pretty satisfying dish! Baklava: The Baklavas were tasty! They are a bit on the smaller side based on baklavas I've had before, but the layers were even and the crust was very flaky and delicious. You could definitely taste the grounded nut filling and the texture was good. Overall, I spent about $30 CAD for the experience, which I thought was a good price given the quality and quantity of food. I would like to revisit Vancouver just to try more of the many options that Wild Thyme has to offer!

I've eaten at Wild Thyme twice and ordered takeout once. Most recently, I was there as part of a group of eight. Each of the times I've had their food, I've found it to be pretty flavourful, but it's hard to get a sense for what you're ordering from the menu. The descriptions didn't really fit the food that we received and we were fortunate that it was still good however unexpected it was when it arrived. The menu could use a refresh and alignment because it is different online than the print menus at the table. As I mentioned already, the food is rich, it's served in big portions and there seem to be options for vegetarian and vegans. (Clearer on the menu at the table than online.) The staff are friendly and willing to make suggestions when requested. It's a small space so it can get a little loud in there when the place gets busy. Reservations are not available at this time.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while , and indeed it didn't disappoint. Cozy atmosphere , perfect for a small group and not noisy . Service was attentive and fast gave excellent suggestions allowing us to try multiple items on the menu . The Manouche ( flat bread ) made Fresh , meat well spiced , zaatar tasted authentic and the 4 cheese mix was spot on . Add this spot to your must try list !

The food was really good, I've never had Lebanese food before but my friends and I really enjoyed it! The salads are really fresh and I also really enjoyed their brunch options. The staff were nice and friendly! Would recommend :)

Loved this place! We especially enjoyed the four dips appetizer, served with an (enormous) pita bread. Seriously, the bread comes in this huge, hot puff that settles as it cools. Yummy! Great service and a nice ambiance, will definitely be back.

Had a sudden craving for Wild Thyme so called in to order pick-up for Sunday dinner. Their operating hours have been modified because of the pandemic so best to call in to order and set a pick-up time. I initially called for lunch but discovered that they only open in the afternoons for dinner. They returned my call at around 3 so I placed my order over the phone for a 7:30 pick-up time. I got Half order of 1/2 Kafta + 1/2 Chicken to be shared between me and the hubby. Their entrees come with Fattoush salad, a huge pita and 4 dips. In the past, when we dined in at Wild Thyme, we ordered the full serving and had lots of left over left so the Half order was just right for us. Omg, it was so delicious and flavorful! Love the refreshing flavors of the salad with pomegranate. The pita was still warm and the dips are so good!! The rice was packed with flavor and both the kafta and chicken were seasoned and cooked just right. It was definitely a great meal for $30. They set up two windows -- one for ordering and payment while the other is for picking up the food. Let's all continue to support local establishments during this tough period.

I've eaten at Wild Thyme so many times, but didn't realized I never left any reviews. This place is my favorite place for Lebanese food. The 4 dips with bread is always a must. It may have changed recently because this time it came with toum (delicious garlic dip and my favorite), yogurt style dip, hummus and Baba ganoush. When in doubt on what to order as a main, the kafta and chicken entree is a good way to sample couple things. Their flatbreads after coming out of the oven is also to die for. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic there is only takeout or deliver (Uber Eats) options, but I'll be dining in once they're able to open.

Wild Thyme is an absolute must! This was my second dining experience here and I continue to have nothing but great things to say about this place. The staff are friendly and attentive. There is a reason this place is so highly rated and busy. And now for the main event, the food. My table ordered the Spicy Cheese, Cauliflower with Rice for our mains. The meal also comes with a starter Fattoush salad and an assortment of dips (hummus, baba ghanouj, garlic and yoghurt) with oven fresh flat bread. All of the dips are made with fresh ingredients that are delicious. And Lots of garlic, which is a requirement! I am absolutely in love with the Cauliflower with Rice as it is covered with tahini sauce, flavourful vegetables and then baked in a brick oven. The dish is a perfect balance of rich, creamy tahini and roasted cauliflower. It is worth ordering. The other main (the spicy cheese) is a delicious flatbread with cheese and spicy red peppers. It is also baked in the brick oven which adds a great texture and flavour to the flatbread. I love dipping this in the assorted dips, particularly the garlic dip. I cannot speak more highly about Wild Thyme. I look forward to my next visit(s) as this place is easily one of the best spots to eat in the Lower Mainland.

The food here is incredible and customer service is excellent! Easily the best hummus I've had. My favorite side sauces they provided were the smoked hummus, smoked eggplant dip, and a garlicky mayo dip. You will be full after dining here!

The menu at Shiok Express is limited and heavy on meat, which doesn't work so well for me as I'm Pescatarian. Consequently, we made a stop at Golden Pita just outside Lougheed Mall so that I could grab something there for my lunch while my husband would eat food from Shiok Express. It's a small restaurant but there are a few tables there if you'd like to sit and eat there. They've got one of those things that stands upright and rotates while holding a big chunk of meat on it. That's something I used to enjoy back when I was a meat eater. It definitely caught my husband's eye. If he hadn't already been set on eat at Shiok Express that day, I think he would have ordered some kind of meat dish from Golden Pita, so he could have the meat carved freshly from that rotating thingy...(I really need to figure out the proper word for that thingy!) I ordered the Vegan Special which came with 3 pieces of falafel, a spinach pie, stuffed grape leaf, tabbouleh salad, rice, pita bread and hummus and tahini dips. This was a wonderful meal and I highly recommend it. Even the rice was tasty. This one order gives you so much variety. The only thing I didn't like was the tabbouleh salad. There was too much parsley in this salad. Everything else was delicious and I really hope to go back there again sometime! Service: Fair Parking: Plentiful and free. Location: Convenient. I'm often surprised at how good food can be at these little nondescript places. Now, before you rush over here, just remember to watch your step when you enter the shop as there's a small step down that's easy to miss. On my first visit, I ordered the Lamb Gyro ($6.99) which is served on tikka naan bread unlike their donairs that are served in a pita. This wrap includes lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and sweet banana peppers along with the slices of spiced lamb meat. The gyro was creamy from the sauce and I liked the grilled naan bread that it was served in... overall, a really good gyro. I returned for a revisit to try their Chicken Kebab Platter ($11.99) which is a large serving of salad, rice, and potatoes. The tender spiced chicken was quite good and the meat wasn't dry (which is often a problem I find with chicken kebab platters). There was a pleasant aroma when they brought this to my table and the hot sauce was really on point. This platter also comes with a serving of grilled pita bread and a crisp salad with a tart vinaigrette. There's a lot of food in this platter and it's quite filling. Normally, I'm not into eating a lot of potatoes but the lemon garlic potatoes (which are cut super thick) turned out to be really good. It was another 4 months before I returned here (but I'm not sure why). I remember that I enjoyed their gyro last time (which is served in a grilled naan bread and served taco-style) so I ordered the Beef Gyro. Similar to my experience with their lamb version, there was crisp lettuce, tomato, onions, tzatziki sauce, and hot sauce which was held together within the naan bread. Having had their gyro twice, I figured I should at least try their donair... specifically, the Chicken Doneras ($6.99) which is very similar to the gyro but served in a pita wrap. They have a number of different donairs but this is one of their standards with just meat and veggies on the inside. Compared to the gyro, the pita wrap is slightly thinner than the naan but easier to hold and eat. I'm not sure why, but on all of my visits, this place was relatively quiet.

It was crazy how big this piece of bread was. We were a group of 5 people and this Small Mixed Plate by itself could have been our lunch. It was such a huge piece of bread. Sooo good though. They baked it in the oven until it got all nice and puffy, and it came to our table piping hot. I always enjoy this Mixed Plate starter. It comes with such a nice variety of dips. My absolute favorite dip though is the Baba Ghannush. I think next time I eat at this restaurant, I will add on a separate order of the Baba Ghannush so I enjoy more of it than what comes in the Mixed Plate starter! I loved my Veggie Guvech. The veggies were roasted and baked to perfection. I'm someone who likes my food soft, so I was happy to find that the veggies in this dish were nice and soft. The menu description says that this dish comes with Lavash. I didn't see any more Lavash bread come other than the huge slab that came with our Small Mixed Plate. Perhaps they did this on purpose though. The one huge piece of bread is equivalent to several smaller pieces that you might get in other restaurants. I certainly didn't need anything more than the huge piece of bread we'd already been served, so was very glad not to see anything else come with my Veggie Guvech. If you're a cheese love, you can't go wrong with the Cheese Lovers Pide. It's our daughter's "go to" dish when we order from this restaurant. She really loves her cheese! The people who ordered Lamb Durum Wrap said the lamb inside their wraps was very moist and tender. I enjoyed this enough, I came back again about a week later for another Sampler Plate meal. My only slight peeves are, I wish there were a bit more to the salad (which isn't even listed as one of the sampler items, so a bit hard to complain!), and that the pita had some whole grains in it (I find white wheat boring).
