I reivisted Jerusalem Shawarma after the soccer game. This place is always very very busy. We were lucky, our waiting time was not too long. We ordered Shawarma mix wrap(Beef and chicken ), Mix Shawarma meat rice bowl(beef and chicken) I did not try wrap, I was told it was delicious as usual. The portion was very large. Beef and chicken rice bowl was great, too. I liked hummus on the top and sour cream on the top and provided great flavor to meats. Chicken and beef were a bit dry, but, hummus and sour cream balanced niccely. Portion was large, too. Oveall, I highly recommend this place. A lot of customers ordered take out because it was very hard to grab table. Very popular place.

I've ordered big family platters, plates and wraps. Every single time it has been 5/5. These are all delivery orders by the way and each time everyone is happy with the order. The food is freshly made and the ingredients are high quality. I've tried chicken, beef and lamb. This is my go to for delivery orders shawarma or kebabs.

Lots of options (both meat and vegetarian) with large portions. The service is quick and the seating very casual. Could definitely split the plate between two people. Would recommend!

Ordered take out for my office and we were impressed by the large portions! My wrap was very tasty and stuffed with fresh veggies and meat! Had to save half for later.

OMG. I saw this place on some list on social media about needing to check it out and I am so glad I did. I think it was the best Shawarma place I've ever been to in my life... Better than Germany.. better than anything else, I have tried at least in Canada... I got a beef Shawarma plate and everything on the plate was absolutely phenomenal. The hummus was a ridiculous creaminess that I can't even compare it to anywhere else. The potatoes with a garlic sauce on top... I could eat that all day seriously!! The beef on the rice were amazing together and the crunchy pita on top of the salad added a really nice texture. Wasifa came by with some tea samples, and I also got to try a falafel and baklava sample and everything was heavenly. The price at first felt a little bit steep, but you're getting a solid plate of food. Bigger than most platters you'll find out there so definitely feels worth the money. Staff were really friendly and I like the order at the counter and grab your food to eat at a table vibe. I liked the beautiful Arabic Palestinian tiles and will definitely be returning.

Here's a case where the reviews led me to believe that this place was perfection. Was it very good? Yes! Was it amazing? No. You order at the counter then wait for them to call your number. There was plenty of indoor seating on a sunday for lunch. We ordered the chicken tawook salad and the mixed schwarma salad. The chicken was tasty but there just was not enough salad in my bowl. The hot dressing was spicy but I found it way too sweet. Hubby really enjoyed his schwarma bowl. The complimentary hit sweet tea was lovely.

I Love Lamb. And of all the Shawarma, Wrap, Sandwich, Flatbread..whatever places you wanna call it ....Jerusalem Shawarma is the only one that quenches my Lamb Thirst. Ok. This is what I think of the place. You walk in and you feel the instant change in culture, energy and vibe. Your eyes catch their extensive menu offering so many of that region's exquisite dishes. You witness right in front of you from their open kitchen the friendly and hardworking staff. Greeting, smiling, rapidly servicing guests and constantly cleaning and maintaining prep. stations to uphold hygiene standards. This is how it works: You order at the very front. You pay. You get a number. You wait. Your number is called you walk up to the toppings section. You pick your toppings. You move slightly to the left to the end station. Grab your stuff and enjoy. This busy, bustling, high pace, have-all-your-senses-on kinda vibe is part of the experience. That's what I'm trying to tell you. When you step into "Jerusalem Shawarma" it's like....you've stepped into .... Well...That stunning part of the world. Jerusalem. So, when I tell you it's an experience. I mean it literally. You don't just get a great Shawarma, but an incredibly similar experience picking up lunch as you would there. If you're into traveling, experiencing scrumptious foods, and wonderful people....take it in. Have fun. Enjoy. Because this place will be different than any other lunch spot you've been to in Vancouver. That is pretty much a guarantee. Loved everything about my wrap. The cool thing is that you choose what you want on it. You can go more on the crisp carb and protein combo, or you can have all the veggies, or you can make it saucy..... Next time, I think I'll have the Lamb just with their incredible regional toasted flat bread with just a couple of veggies.....giving it that juicy lamb with crisp pickled taste embraced into the toasted wrap. Grabbing my order with their kind appreciative farewell. Leaving beautiful Jerusalem. Arriving back in Vancouver.

Lived up to hype! I got there just before the lunch rush so everything was super fresh. For sure recommend to try, will definitely go again and try a plate. Huge portion size, I couldn't finish it and packed it for later. It was about $18 incl tip for a takeout chicken wrap, didn't even get eye contact or a thanks for the tip though

The food here was delicious and staff was friendly. The space was nicely decorated and looked clean. Various tables indoors. Ventilation could be better, it was a bit warm (I felt the food smell stuck on to our clothes) and the wait time was a bit long since they call you over to choose the toppings, but it was worth it and we just waited by the entrance until we heard our number called. We had the poutine with chicken and beef along with a beef shawarma and a chicken shawarma - all very tasty and had generous portions! They have a selection of fruit juices, had the pineapple and it was good. Recommend and would go back if I had this spot close to home. :)

Such amazing shawarma! We had both the beef and the chicken and the flavor was so amazing!! They also provided us complimentary tea and baklava (both were so good!) Mahmoud provided us such great service! Great decor, and very clean. We highly recommend checking this place out

Very delicious food, reasonable price and great service

Definitely try to go at opening or when it is not busy, as the dine-in experience is memorable - they place your order in a long wooden board to make it a beautiful spread. We got the Manoush'eh Special which has ground beef, pomegranate, etc and Sham Style which is shaped like a boat. We also tried the yogurt drink which pairs well with the dishes. The only con is that this place does not have free water, but it is no problem to have our own water bottles supplementing the meal. We also got the lentil soup which is pretty good. Definitely sufficient to share one to try, but the Manoush'eh outshines the rest of the items. I loved the quality and texture of the Manoush'eh and just the breads in general. It is a lot of food for 2 people so if you want a snack, you can definitely just share 1. Some people go here for the wraps too. Overall, an affordable restaurant with good food. We got the most expensive items and it was less than 50 CAD all-in, but a lot of the items are around the 10 CAD mark.

My wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner and we were delighted. We ordered the Chefs Special Sampler for 2 - basically giving us a sampler of everything on the menu for $90 per person. We were really really full and couldn't finish it all. Highlights: - Chickpea Fetteh: warm delightful mixture of ground meat, chickpea sauce, with soaked pita at the bottom and crispy stuff in it. It just explodes with flavour and texture. - dip sampler: the hummus and eggplant mutabbah were really good but that pocket pita bread was out of this world good. Even the tabbouleh was good and my wife normally hates that. - the lamb tartare was AMAZING. It was kneaded so soft that it was practically a paste. When you combine it with the nuts and red spicy sauce and eat it with bread the combo is winning. - grilled Kibbeh and regular kibbeh - both really delightful - the grilled meat plate was great. In particular the chicken with the garlic tahini was really flavourful. The kabob mushrooms and peppers on top of smoked baba ganoush was soo good. Loved the smoke flavour. They finished by serving us baklava sampler which was all really good. From start to finish this is an experience for the ages.

The interior of the restaurant was also very nicely decorated. I do think Saba Foods is fancier than other places I've been to while exploring new cuisines and I personally prefer a more casual dining experience. As for the food, the portion sizes were very generous (though I did see other diners ordering individually). I shared the haneeth and saltah with a friend as well as got the kunafa and bint al sahen for dessert. The lamb was very tender and fell off the bone and the saltah came in a bubbling pot. I think the presentation of each dish was beautiful and was representative of its quality. My favourite dish was definitely the haneeth; it had a good combination of meat, rice, and vegetables. My reason for the missing star would be price point (total came around to $55 per person) as well as flavour as I'm used to having very flavorful dishes from other cuisines. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who hasn't tried Yemeni food before though!

Was tempted to try their tea but was concerned it might be too strong on the caffeine but I was in a food come during the musical from the heavy brunch so probably could have used a pick me up. Would recommend if you're looking for a brunch spot in cute South Granville neighborhood.
