Found this place using Yelp. The reviews were spot on. Located in a compact little food court, it's not easy to find. Very friendly staff. Sandwiches were really good. Ingredients were fresh. The person making my club sandwich took such care making sure it was constructed perfectly. Aligning all the ingredients (bacon, avacado, lettuce) so the presentation was great as well. Echoing what other reviewers have said, Sandwich Plus does not skimp on the filling! I grabbed the Turkey special for $9 which includes either a salad or a soup of the day. I went with their cream of mushroom which tastes like they make it from scratch (none of the Campbell's canned variety). They don't ask if you'd like white or dark meat anymore, they automatically do a mix of both. I am absolutely stuffed after finishing my lunch today! Yup. A goldmine! I have walked past the entrance of this food court every day for the past month and a half and never had an inkling to explore further. Today I went mining. I dug up a four inch piled high turkey sandwich. Complete with slices of avocado, dark red tomato, crisp lettuce on hearty multigrain bread. You even get to pick white or dark meat or both. They literally pick up a handful of meat and pile it onto the bread. The price is up to $5.75, but it is worth every penny. I had a bowl of homemade split pea soup on the side which was heavenly. I guess it's a little odd to not have sandwiches at a place named Sandwich Plus, but that's exactly what I did. I had soup because of this awful flu that just won't go away. First place I have seen who doesn't buy their turkey as a processed loaf from a wholesale supplier. I've been a huge fan of Sandwich Plus since I worked around the corner from them. Their sandwiches are art! The turkey sandwich is really the only one I've had, because it's stupid delicious - you get a choice of cheese or avocado (um, avocado, obviously), dark or light meat (both!), and a host of tasty toppings, including cranberry sauce. And they are not stingy on the filling for this sandwich. The last time I got it it took me two days to eat because the meat was packed in so tightly! Last time I was there my friend and I shared their Mexican wrap - it was also pretty delicious, but I would go back for the turkey, and the turkey alone. The prices are super reasonable for what you get, you can skip the line if you just want soup, and the staff are super friendly! Well worth stopping in. read more

This place is a Godsend for those of us who take lunch at their desk most days. The proprietors, apparently unable to decide on whether to serve traditional deli fare, burgers, or mexican, have decided on all of the above! As Peter S. mentioned, the price has recently been upped, but at $6 or so for a homemade soup and custom sani (!), this place is 5-STAR and has to be one of the best lunch values in DT! DOs: Turkey sandwich with Avocado - a no brainer, takes me back to mid-october / late december every time. DONTs: French Fries - at least not early in the lunch rush. Oil isn't hot enough and they end up soggy. TOP SECRET WEAPON: Chicken Burrito - Do it. You will not be disappointed. And neither will your dry-cleaner, if your not careful! read more

This place is fantastic. It's a food court sandwich place and they also dabble in some tex-mex and breakfast items, as well (taco salads, burritos, eggs, bacon, grilled cheese). I like the prices and how much meat you get when you order a sandwich (seriously, you can't close your mouth around one of these things) and for around 6 bucks, it's a pretty good deal! Today I ordered a Turkey Wrap that consisted of: whole wheat wrapper (I skipped the bread based on Marc D.'s review), mix of dark/white turkey meat, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, avocado, mayo, cranberry sauce, salt & pepper. The staff here are really efficient and friendly, which is rare to see in places like this. I ordered the turkey club sandwich. You start off by choosing your bread (I opted for toasted whole wheat bread), and then you can choose to have mayonnaise or cranberry sauce on each side of the bread. Next you can choose veggies such as lettuce, tomato, and cucumber. You can also add either cheese or avocado (I recommend avocado). Lastly, you can choose whether you want white or dark turkey meat. I opted for white, and got a huge portion of turkey on my sandwich which was awesome. My sandwich was large, but it was really tasty and worth the price of $7. It also advertises itself as a Mexican spot and sells burgers. But fore go all this fancy stuff and stick with the sandwiches. $5 will buy you a sandwich heaped with carved turkey, cranberry sauce, and veggies. There's never a hesitation if you ask for something special, like toasted bread, or a little extra of something. I'm pretty sure the spot is run by a husband and wife, and they admirably keep the line moving even on the busiest of days. Judging from the lineups, you could see which kiosks are the most popular in this small food court (Sandwich Plus and the East Indian kiosk across the way, in case you were wondering). I had to try the turkey sandwich which the other yelpers have been raving about, and I must say, it's pretty good. What would have made it better would probably be better bread, as others can attest to, and it would've been awesome if the turkey had been warm. But they literally give you enough pulled turkey to make 3 sandwiches, and your sandwich is prepared Subway style, with your choice o' fixings. read more

How do you make a turkey sandwich? Well, if you have never been to Sandwich Plus, then I guarantee you are doing it wrong. You choose the bread (large selection), the fixings, and whether you want cheese or avocado. Cranberry spread? Have it, it is awesome. And then she takes a huge fistful of fresh roasted white or dark turkey meat and tries to capture it with the top piece of bread without losing any of the more than inch thick pile of meat. Just had my first wrap there and my friend one of their traditional sandwich. What else can I say except it was extra fresh / delicious / and definitely homemade. Early morning, around 8am I searched yelp for a sandwich. My flight back home was at 1400 hours. I wasn't sure what would be available at the airport, international terminal. I'm not a big breakfast eater, meaning eggs and sides, I prefer something more hearty when I have to travel. This place was great. At 9 am the mushroom soup wasn't ready (turkey vegetable was) but their delicious turkey sandwich was available. As the other reviewers state this is a big sandwich and well worth the price. I literally eat here every day. The place is run by a married couple. She makes the food and he collects the dough. Even if I didn't eat here I can't get enough of watching the sandwich chef putting together these sandwiches. She never skimps on anything and will make it exactly the way you want it. My favorite part is watching her jam as much meat on there as she possibly could. Go ahead and order the club sandwich. I dare you. It's a double-decker sandwich that will have you doing a double-take when you realize it's actually only one sandwich. On your sandwich you have a choice of avocado or cheese. If you go with the avocado she puts enough on that you will get some in every bite. The salads are large, plentiful and also packed with meat.
