CB cake, a.k.a. crème brûlée cake
    Ruth B.

I had work lunch here several years ago and it was very good. Decided to give it a try on my own as take out. What a great dinner choice! The Mushroom Ravioli was cooked perfectly. The pasta had good chew to it and an excellent balance of filling to pasta. One could easily eat a whole ravioli disc in one bite, but they are also big enough to cut into two bites each. I can't tell you what mushrooms, herbs or other ingredients were in the filling but it was good and the pieces of mushroom added additional chew without being rubbery to the bite. Sadly the sauce had broken but the flavor was excellent. Just the right amount of blue cheese crumbles to add nice pungent tangy notes. The small hazelnut pieces added a nice crunchy texture to offset the creamy soft bites of ravioli and sauce. Truly a delicious plate of food. Though the portion in the to-go pan looks small, it is in fact quite generous. I put all of it on my plate for the photo but only ate half and have enough left for lunch tomorrow. The CB Cake (crème brûlée) is a lot of sweet decadence. I was unable to identify any actual flavor to the slice other than to say it was sweet. I've had champagne but never champagne cake. The color is what I consider "champagne" but the taste was not. The cake itself is very light and moist. But not sweet or flavorful. The crème brûlée filling between cake layers is a cool, thick custard (kind of like flan) but again didn't really find any stand out flavor, not even vanilla. The cream cheese frosting was just as any classic cream cheese frosting, sweet and creamy. The "burnt sugar glaze/drizzle is plentiful and very very sweet! Three bites of cake and filling was plenty to taste and I have it in the fridge waiting for future tastes and nibbles. Not saying this CB Cake's a bad choice by any means just a very sweet one! Overall, a fantastic dinner and I highly recommend giving the MUSHROOM RAVIOLI a try!

I visited Amadeus over eight years ago for lunch. Good it see it still in business after all that time. The restaurant industry is brutal. This time was a dinner visit: - Salmon: three at our table of four ordered this. Very well prepared dish. - Cod: On the daily, not the regular, menu. Similarly well prepared. My wife had this, just as good as the salmon dish. - Lemon Mousse: I'm not a dessert person but the table insisted we get something. Delicious. Decadent. The restaurant has a nice, somewhat casual ambiance. We were seated at a window-side four top which added to the experience. Service was good, prices not out of line with today's economy.

This place is fantastic. The food is always spot on, the service is attentive and friendly, the house made hummus and tortilla chips are out of this world! We always have a good meal here- but most notable are the scallops and whipped ricotta appetizer. I live 1,300 miles away and make it a point to stop in anytime I wind up on that side of the country. Great vibe, great bang for your buck and food you'll dream about

The Mac and cheese was deliciously unique. The order was able to be placed early and they were super speedy on getting the to-go order out

Incredible food, incredible service. We had the spiced lamb, Brussel sprouts, and a few others. I have no complaints!

We had two Piroshky meals, Philly and chicken pesto. The dough is exquisite, and the filling has me questioning my own ability to season the food I make correctly. Eastern Europeans know how to season chicken to another level. We got a third Piroshky to take home, but it didn't make it. We ate that as well. And finished everything off with a Beautifully named passion flakes pastry. Puff pastry with whipped cream and blackberries. We left with several pounds of frozen pelmeni and stuffed cabbage. It's a family run place. And we really appreciate them for being so kind and accommodating to our little dog. These are great people. Update: We had some of the stuffed cabbages tonight, and now we are going to have to make this trip more often. They are excellent. They are smaller than the stuffed cabbages I am used to, but I am now converted to the smaller ones. They just cook easier and work better this way. Second update: We purchased 3 pounds of pelmeni and had some the other night. The beef and chicken. The bags are great and resealable. They are every bit as good as Kachka. We will definitely buy more, and I can't wait to try the salmon next. Thank you, Pierogi Place, for an outstanding experience.

A noticeable decline at Marco Polo Global Restaurant…read more It is with genuine disappointment that I share how significantly Marco Polo Global Restaurant has changed--and not for the better. Having been a loyal patron for years, I was unaware that the restaurant had undergone an ownership change approximately one year ago. Unfortunately, the shift in management has been accompanied by a marked decline in both service and food quality. Service Concerns Table service fell well below expectations. Our server did not introduce herself, nor did she demonstrate any gestures of hospitality throughout the meal. Twice, plates were handed to us stacked, leaving the guests to distribute them ourselves--an approach inconsistent with professional table service. Water glasses were never refilled, and there was a general lack of attentiveness to our table. Menu Changes The menu has been reduced to a simple two‑sided laminated sheet, a stark departure from the former Marco Polo menu that once offered an impressive variety of thoughtfully curated dishes. Food Quality The food, regrettably, did not meet even basic standards: Singapore Noodles: The most disappointing dish of the evening. I shared my feedback with the server, who later reported that the cook had not seasoned it properly and offered to remake it. We declined. Salad Rolls: Flavorless, with a peanut sauce that was thin, cold, and lacking depth. Broccoli with Tofu: The broccoli was overcooked, wilted, and visually unappealing. The dish was marginal at best. Green Beans with Garlic: Cooked adequately, but lacking seasoning and overall flavor. Vegan Pot-stickers: The one bright spot--excellent texture, well‑prepared, and accompanied by a flavorful sauce. Overall Atmosphere The ambiance felt tired, and the restaurant appears to have lost the vitality and care that once made it a thriving local favorite. Based on our experience, it seems clear that both the kitchen and front‑of‑house staff would benefit from renewed training and leadership. Our server confirmed that the business changed hands about a year ago, and unfortunately, the decline is evident in nearly every aspect of the dining experience. We will not be returning, and it saddens me to say so--Marco Polo was once a beloved establishment in the community.

We had our little dog with us so I was happy to see they had a dog friendly patio. It was a warm day and the staff immediately brought her out a bowl of water, which was a thoughtful gesture and shows the level of service they offer to their patrons. Our server, I believe her name was Casey, was lovely. She was friendly and seemed to know a lot of the regulars by name which gave the restaurant a welcoming feel. I ordered the Danish pancakes (Æbleskiver), and they were absolutely delicious. They came with house-made lemon curd and lingonberry jam, and both were incredible. The lemon curd was rich and creamy with just the right amount of tartness, while the lingonberry jam added a sweet-tart flavor that paired perfectly with the fluffy pancakes. Four of them were more than enough to fill me up. My husband ordered the Pytt i Panna, a traditional Swedish hash made with crispy potatoes, bell peppers, and onions, topped with two soft-baked eggs and served with pickled beets and Nordic rye toast. It was hearty, comforting, and full of flavor. The pickled beets were a nice contrast to the savory hash, and everything on the plate was scrumptious! Between the delicious food, welcoming service, and dog-friendly patio, we had a very nice time and it was a good send-off before our walk through the woods to find Ole Bolle. I'd happily come back the next time I'm in the area.

We started with the cardamom latte (rich and nutty) and the matcha marzipan (sweet and with enough aromatic almond flavor) and then proceeded to feast. We started with the Danish pancake donuts- lovely in that they were both savory and sweet, comes with lemon curd and jam. The lefse breakfast was really interesting - a layered thicker 'crepe' with cheese and egg. The fish plate was our family favorite - an epic collection of shrimp, mini shrimps, gravlax, pickled herring (our favorite) various breads, crackers and sauces. Very well presented, fun to eat, and enough to share. We also ordered the Swedish meatballs - rich hearty but small and few (5 total). Luckily, we had plenty of other food and this dish was great with sherry mushroom sauce and a delicious potato latke-like side. Our server was also incredibly personable, friendly, and helpful in our food choices which we always appreciate.
