Absolutely the best middle eastern food in Salem, probably in Oregon. My Army friends and I eat here exclusively now, and after having traveled to Syria together we are utterly charmed by the quality, diligence, promptness and character of the place. A fine family operation, and the most American thing I've seen all day!

Amazing goid food. Unique spicey fry sauce, large portions, rich flavor, respectfully authentic. Lamb shwarma the way you wish you could find lamb cooked. Tender, pure, fully cooked without overcooked. This is it!

It was amazing- the best food I have ever tried. You must go there. I took the Damascus beef and Sambusa and they tasted supeeer.

Put sauce on your chicken or blue cheese dressing like I did. It was wonderful after that.

I…read morewill be honest I read some things about the lamb and I sadly do agree that it is not the best. Their beef and chicken rice plates is always our go to never disappoint except for when they are low on rice to which she is happy to give you something extra. Their baklava is yummy and a great sweet treat, we always get helped quickly even when we come in during their prayer time they are still willing to help us. We have seen them host dinner and still kept the business open which just makes me happy cause it feels like family and community. The ambience inside is what you expect for a Mediterranean restaurant, I appreciate them displaying their heritage and culture.

PROS: The woman who runs it is super friendly. Definitely adds diversity to a limited food scene. CONS: Consistency and Quality Assurance Previous order (months ago) the meat was so dry it tasted like jerky, inedible and tossed the whole dish. Finally got the urge back to give it another chance today, ordering the lamb over hummus. The hummus has gone BAD. Tastes overly sour and has a strong fizzy sensation that you get when it has gone bad and fermented. Once again I will be tossing the entire dish. So sad!

We had heard about this Syrian restaurant in Corvallis (we live in Eugene) and had been meaning to…read morego there for dinner with friends, but it just never seemed to gel. Then, on a trip to the Oregon coast, we happened to be going through Corvallis at lunchtime and decided to stop. We are SO glad we did. All of the other Yelp reviews said it was really good, but few mentioned any specific dish. Except for the hummus, which received off-the-chart good reviews. So we tried the Lamb Hummus dish as well as the Musakhan Rolls, which is a chicken with caramelized onions wrapped in fresh grilled bread. Both were excellent with some notes. The Musakhan Rolls said they come with a garlic sauce. The sauce was excellent, but tasted more like a tart yogurt/sour cream sauce to us. Not a strong garlic flavor. The lamb in the hummus was also very good, but kind of bland. We love lamb when it is prepared well (we usually only order from a Middle Eastern restaurant) and this was prepared perfectly. We just felt it could stand a little more flavor or spice. However, the hummus. Oh. My. Word. The hummus. All of those off-the-chart reviews were spot on. The hummus had to be the best hummus we have ever had in our lives. And we eat a variety of foods from a variety of places. It was the perfect amount of garlic and so creamy, we actually used our fingers to wipe the bowl and get that last remaining bits of the hummus. Our service was excellent. It is family-owned and our server was very pleasant and hospitable. The inside is decorated in what appears to be Syrian decor and is nicely done. Now we have to connect with our friends and go back sometime soon for dinner. Yumm!

I questioned the lamb kabobs that were served to us. Instead of chunks of lamb, it was ground lamb. The manager said these were Syrian kabobs and that's the way they are made.

For sure the best Lebanese food in Hillsboro, maybe the best in all of Oregon!…read more I've had Falafel in many restaurants surrounding Portland and this is the best by far. Very moist, tender and loads of flavor, unlike most places that serve it drier than a week old biscuit. Their Hummus is creamy and delicious. The best I've had anywhere and it comes with a huge piece of flatbread. The rice was light and fluffy, steamed to perfection. Atmosphere is warm, cozy Mediteranian; service was fast and attentive; food was abundant and delicious; prices are fair and very reasonable. Seriously nothing not to love about this amazing restaurant! My only complaint is their takeout boxes are made of single-use plastic.

A Stunning Mediterranean Escape! If you're in Beaverton and…read morelooking for an authentic, high-quality Lebanese meal, Oasis Lebanese Cuisine (located in the Murray Scholls Town Center) is a total standout. It's rare to find a place that nails the "hidden gem" feel while providing such a polished, upscale atmosphere. Here is why Oasis is my absolute favorite: The Ambiance: The interior is beautiful and incredibly unique. They have these cozy, fabric-tented booths that make your meal feel private and intimate--perfect for a date night or a long catch-up with friends. It truly feels like an "oasis" once you step inside. The Mezza Plate Sampler: If it's your first time, you must order this. It's the best way to try a bit of everything--the hummus is velvety, the baba ghanouj has that perfect smoky char, and the falafel is served hot and crispy. The Lamb Shank: This is the ultimate comfort food. The meat literally falls off the bone and is seasoned with a blend of Middle Eastern spices that are aromatic but not overwhelming. Pair it with their basmati rice, and you're in heaven. Specialty Drinks: Their Rose Water Lemonade is life-changing--so refreshing and not too sweet. If you're a coffee lover, the Turkish Coffee is the perfect way to end the meal. The Experience: On Friday and Saturday nights, they often have belly dancing performances, which adds such a vibrant, cultural energy to the room. It makes the whole night feel like an event rather than just a dinner. Exceptional Service: The staff here is so welcoming and fast. Even when the restaurant is full, they are incredibly attentive and happy to explain the menu or accommodate dietary needs (lots of great gluten-free and vegan options!). Pro Tip: If you like a little heat, ask for their spicy garlic sauce. It's addictive and goes well with just about everything on the menu. Whether you're a local or just passing through Beaverton, Oasis is a must-visit. You'll come for the food, but you'll stay for the incredible vibes!
