This is a very cute and simple restaurant, keeping in theme with their name, as the walls are painted a mint color, while the table and chairs are black. It is reminiscent of mint chocolate chip ice ice cream.  There were four of us, so we were able to try many dishes. Hands down the shining star was the Badami Bainga. This was a first for me, and it was delicious. It is worth the drive just for this. I did find that even though we ordered different curries, the sauces looked and tasted very similar.  My one big gripe, which is the reason I am subtracting a star, is as soon as we sat down they handed us bottled waters. I hate going to restaurants and being served anything plastic. It is wasteful, and it distracts from the whole experience. Not to mention Oregon Water is much better than cheap terrible Kirkland Water. I noticed they had glasses on the counter, so I assumed when we ordered a mango lassi at least that would be served in a glass. Again, no such luck that again came in a plastic cup. When our food was served, it was all served with nice plates and bowls. It didn't match the tackiness of the plastic we were served at the beginning of the meal.

We enjoyed a quick and tasty meal as we stopped through Salem and left with full bellies. The service was friendly and welcoming. We ordered the Vegetable Korma and Aloo Gobi (our go to orders). The Aloo Gobi and Roti were delicious! The vegetable Korma had a much milder flavor than we are used to. We ordered both with medium spice and they were not spicy at all. If you like a little kick, definitely consider ordering up a level. The decor was nice and the place felt clean, but it did smell of cleaning supplies. They also serve bottled water, which seems wasteful. We will try the Paneer Butter Masala the next time we stop in.

Another gem in Salem! Went for lunch and left happy! The butter chicken is incredible as is the tandoori and garlic naan. We loved the sweet and sour cauliflower dish as well. We ordered chai but it was not delivered until the end of our meal, it was still delicious but a bit late. Same with the appetizer that was delivered at the same time as our main dishes. Prices are perfect, service is great, but food delivery time still needs a bit of improvement. Overall wonderful place for lunch, I will be back.

Mint Leaf is a little tuck away Indian restaurant. Don't miss out on trying this great place! Excellent Indian food. Service is quick and friendly. I have eaten here multiple times and the food has been excellent everytime. If you like eggplant and sweet try the eggplant it is delicious! It is unlike any other eggplant dish I've ever had at an Indian restaurant. It is whole little eggplants, stuffed with sweet almonds set in a lovely curry creamy sauce. The chicken tikka and all of the lamb dishes are fantastic as well. Roti and nana are delish. Mint and Tamarind chutney both are great. They even have mango lassi, chai tea and Indian desserts.

Their food is really good. We had chicken tikka masala and it was really good. I've also had byrani from there and it was great. Nice service. I recommend the Mint Leaf!

Garlic naan, lamb saag, matar paneer

Tried this new Indian place this evening and it is an absolute gem. The service was on point and gracious. The food was fantastic. We had the vegetable samosas, matar paneer and lamb saag with garlic naan. The vegetable samosas were perfectly cooked and delicious with just the right amount of crunch and epic flavor. The matar paneer had an appropriate cheese to pea to sauce ratio with minimal oil. The lamb saag was outstanding! The flavor was multilayered and exquisitely executed. The garlic naan came with 4 good sized garlicky pieces. So delicious! We will be back and often. If you're looking for delicious Indian food, look no farther. It may very well be the best Indian I have ever had.

The tiny 16 oz container that my shrimp curry was in.

Food was absolutely delicious! My wife wasn't sure what to get and suggestions were given by the waiter. Not one bit of disappointment.

This might take a little longer to prepare so be courteous with your wait. The gentlemen working on 9/15/25, I did not catch his name, gave me a heads up that it will take a bit longer. Let me tell you, it was worth the wait. When it was ready, I could smell the aromatics thru the light breeze and it had me floating over. Our food took an inordinate amount of time to arrive but when it did it was delivered by a lovely gracious woman. The young man never checked in to see how everything was or if we desired anything. We had needed another 2 sets of flatware since we were 4 and there were only 2 place settings. I was forced to get up and go to another table to retrieve the place settings as our "server/ waiter" was absent. We ordered a chai for my 90 year old father prior to even ordering our meal yet it arrived WITH dinner and was placed nowhere near my father but on the other side of the condiments causing him to reach for it OVER the condiments, while ending up spilling hot chai on himself. My sister asked how this young man's father was, he replied, " he is home watching a game or something he doesn't come in on Saturdays unless he is covering me." If this is indeed the owner's son his attitude and behaviour is even more appalling ! My sister ordered dessert for my father,we had a table full of empty plates and dishes yet this guy did not remove any of them, he just set the sweet among them. I finally asked him to please take them away and even that he did not do immediately. When I asked for our cheque he told me that I must come to the counter. Had this been an exceptionally busy time in the restaurant we may have had a bit more patience but as it was not busy we certainly cannot understand the lack of service nor the very spacey and lackadaisical attitude. To note: upon arrival near 5 p.m today / Saturday as a party of 4 which included my sister & parents, patrons of this restaurant for years, there was only a table of 4 present hence this was not a bustling, busy afternoon. Sadly after our very lackluster experience tonight neither my parents, sister nor I will be returning or recommending Cuisine India !! There are numerous options for Indian food in Salem now. They offer great service, food, overall experience, and appreciation of their guests.
