This is my second order at this truck. They are 2/2, so far! Back in July I ordered the chicken biryani off a recommendation from a worker, and it was delicious! So much flavor with each bite that I didn't want to finish it lol. Unfortunately, I did when I got home... I told myself I was eventually gonna try other items and here I am, swinging by last night and ordered the 5 piece tandoori chicken. Beware! This might take a little longer to prepare so be courteous with your wait. The gentlemen working on 9/15/25, I did not catch his name, gave me a heads up that it will take a bit longer. Let me tell you, it was worth the wait. When it was ready, I could smell the aromatics thru the light breeze and it had me floating over. (imagine a cartoon character floating over while twinkling their toes). The gentlemen asked if it was for here or to go, because he wanted me to try it and let him know how it was. I said it was to go, but I sat back down with my wife to finish our drink and tried it out. I tried a bite and ended up eating a whole piece of chicken lol...SHEESH! I had to let him know that it was excellent on my way out and what he recommended for me next time around. Being fortunate to catch a slow period just after some freezing rain, he was able to make suggestions based on my tastes and dietary considerations with several great recommendations. Being quite patient walking me through the options, I ended up trying additional items and am so glad to have done so. Each dish was unique and flavorful. The spice level was customized on a scale of 10 and was even able to adjust for more spice with a trial sample. Be patient for the scratch-made sauces, they tasted fresh and had deep flavor to continue savoring with various pairings. Between 15-20 minutes delivered a meal making me want to return and try other dishes. Such friendly and helpful service, I recommend indulging in some delicious food to explore. I've had the Butter Chicken before, but not the Garlic Naan. Go, go now and get an order of the delightful, deliciousness that is the Garlic Naan (and whatever else your heart desires). I ordered mild chicken biyrani and it was so spicy that my wife could not eat it. I called back and they told me to order extra mild next time. I had leftovers and tried to eat them the next day, but it seemed to be spicier the next day and I couldn't eat it either. This made me very sad because it was good otherwise. read more

Love the butter chicken. Folks, this is a food truck that is located in the Beehive Station in Salem. I have been to quite a few Indian restaurants in my time, and for a food truck, this has to be one of the very best meals that I have ever had. The butter chicken is simply something that you must enjoy. I have also had the vindaloo with lamb as well. This too is a very good dish. The food comes out quite quickly as you would hope and image from a food truck. The service is always top notch. As for the location, there are tent structures that allow you to sit and eat your meals right there. Even in the coldest of days, there are propane heaters that will allow you to stay nice and toasty while eating your meals. Having been here in the summer time as well, these tents provide a nice amount of shade to get out of the heat. With plenty of places to sit and eat, along with basic drinks or if you wish a beer from the tap cart, the atmosphere here is fantastic place to get your grub on. Most places are closed on Tuesday's and you will have to check their schedules as there are all open at different times. Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn't tell you to order the garlic naan bread from Little India. This is by far one of the best naan's in terms of flavor that I have had the opportunity to come across. Don't miss this opportunity to order it. It's not too heavy on the garlic so your not going to stop a vampire attack, but just enough to give you a great flavor. And then dipping it into the butter chicken sauce.....sorry, got to go as I am my way to Salem to go to Little India! read more

We ate at Little India last weekend in Salem, Oregon. Our waiter was a very kind young man whose mom cooks for the food cart. He was very accommodating and patient with us explaining the variety of foods, how they were prepared, etc. His mom cooked us up a fresh, tasty, delicious meal. Great people working the truck, and the naan was great, butter chicken was some of the best I have had, with perfect basmati rice. I live close by and I will be coming in frequently to get this, if they had a brick and mortar on the other side of town I would be trying to get this, consistently. I make this stuff at home every now and again, but I won't really anymore because this exists and is way better. Great portion sizes, and the price is sooo worth it. I give four stars instead of five only because I'm not adequately familiar with the competition in Salem. Good people, servings that make 2-3 heavy lunches for a senior. Food seems to be cooked to order, definitely stove hot, and a wait of 10-15 minutes. I like pepper heat and when I specified "medium" I could sure taste some kick. Their scale seems to be accurate and if anything, understated. It's hard to judge, but those who describe the dishes as bland may be reacting to how delicate the seasonings are in many Eastern cuisines. Very likely, some of their offerings are more intriguing than others. I agree that garlic naan is a must. Never seen such a "simple" item done better. read more
