After a long day of running errands and not feeling like cooking I decide to return to Little India for an order of Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan. I've had the Butter Chicken before, but not the Garlic Naan. Go, go now and get an order of the delightful, deliciousness that is the Garlic Naan (and whatever else your heart desires). I ordered mild chicken biyrani and it was so spicy that my wife could not eat it. I called back and they told me to order extra mild next time. I had leftovers and tried to eat them the next day, but it seemed to be spicier the next day and I couldn't eat it either. This made me very sad because it was good otherwise. read more

Love the butter chicken. Folks, this is a food truck that is located in the Beehive Station in Salem. I have been to quite a few Indian restaurants in my time, and for a food truck, this has to be one of the very best meals that I have ever had. The butter chicken is simply something that you must enjoy. I have also had the vindaloo with lamb as well. This too is a very good dish. The food comes out quite quickly as you would hope and image from a food truck. The service is always top notch. As for the location, there are tent structures that allow you to sit and eat your meals right there. Even in the coldest of days, there are propane heaters that will allow you to stay nice and toasty while eating your meals. Having been here in the summer time as well, these tents provide a nice amount of shade to get out of the heat. With plenty of places to sit and eat, along with basic drinks or if you wish a beer from the tap cart, the atmosphere here is fantastic place to get your grub on. Most places are closed on Tuesday's and you will have to check their schedules as there are all open at different times. Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn't tell you to order the garlic naan bread from Little India. This is by far one of the best naan's in terms of flavor that I have had the opportunity to come across. Don't miss this opportunity to order it. It's not too heavy on the garlic so your not going to stop a vampire attack, but just enough to give you a great flavor. And then dipping it into the butter chicken sauce.....sorry, got to go as I am my way to Salem to go to Little India! read more

Really fine Indian food from these guys! Today i had the Lamb tikka masala . medium heat. The best I have had in the US, honestly. Lots of good tender chunks of lamb in a gorgeous sauce. We ate at Little India last weekend in Salem, Oregon. Our waiter was a very kind young man whose mom cooks for the food cart. He was very accommodating and patient with us explaining the variety of foods, how they were prepared, etc. His mom cooked us up a fresh, tasty, delicious meal. You have read the other reviews, and I agree with the rest of them, this place serves some of the best Indian food in the area. Great people working the truck, and the naan was great, butter chicken was some of the best I have had, with perfect basmati rice. I live close by and I will be coming in frequently to get this, if they had a brick and mortar on the other side of town I would be trying to get this, consistently. I make this stuff at home every now and again, but I won't really anymore because this exists and is way better. Great portion sizes, and the price is sooo worth it.
