Went here with a friend last night after midnight after going to the nearby Señor Tequila restaurant. The lady with the blonde hair and the pearl necklace was super nice and I had a good time conversing with her. It was my first time playing blackjack (I don't gamble), so she and my friend taught me how to play on the screen in front of me. I had a great time here, and when I feel like doing the occasional gambling, I will come back here, and I will definitely bring a few more friends along!

Solid Dive bar with a music venue downstairs. They have a kiosk for sports bets which is cool. Bartender was a good guy and the patrons were friendly on this day.

This place has definitely been through some changes since January 2018. All good changes. I attend a lot of music events and Dennis has helped Alturas became a music venue. On Sundays, from 5pm to 7pm, there is Happy Hour drink specials. Priced well. And you can hear 2 local singer-songwriters perform. And free pizza! There is usually about 3 to 4 different kinds. This event is called Sounds Of The City Sundays. Currently, it is held upstairs in bar area. There is also music events downstairs. The Cellar Stage. Dennis brings local and national acts together to perform at least once a week. Its a cozy dark cabaret. Decorated nicely. I really do like this as a music venue!

Anyway: Quality/Quantity - Parley 6 IPA - Supporting local. Smithwick's Irish Red - When in an Irish pub... Nice whiskey selection, but I have a show to watch at GSR later today and did not want to fall asleep, lol. Atmosphere - Small local pub. Friendly and welcoming. Small stage with live bands, see picture or website. Small parking lot, don't even bother, plenty of street parking. Open 5 days a week from 4pm to close. Closed Sundays and Mondays. Service - 6 stars. They welcomed our team. Approved us bringing in food (from Pizza Plus) for our event. The waitress and the bar service were perfect. Came and got our drink orders often. Price - HH $5 beers. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2007. Our team has been regular customers since??? So I guess we will be coming here more often.

On a Thursday night we came in for some drinks and enjoyed a live Bluegrass band. The Bartender and server were both very attentive and we had a great time enjoying a draft beer while listening to the music. The decor and ambiance is Irish and fun, the overall setup is nice. Looks like they have a nice patio setup for use in the Summer. Look forward to catching another night of live music soon, and will be frequenting Ceol much more now that I know what I've been missing!

The vibe is open and chill. We grabbed a few drinks and split some food. The portions are very generous. We decided on nachos, a chicken apple salad wrap and crispy Brussels sprouts. The massive wrap was packed with chicken, apple slices, cranberries and fresh lettuce. Seriously, it was better than I expected. The Brussels sprouts were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a hint of a maple glaze. Our server Chelsea was super friendly and served our food in a timely manner. Honestly, Mellow Fellow feels like a hidden gem. If you're in the area, especially around game time, it's worth checking out.

This is a fun little place to hang out in and can be enjoyed on a date, with friends, or even with the kiddos. Service here has always been great, always fast and attentive. Not only are the burgers great but the appetizers are quite the sight, the giant fried pretzel just looks absolutely ridiculous as the center piece to your table. Also weirdly enough the ketchup here, for some reason may be the best ketchup on earth... I can not wait to get some time to run back down to MF, eat some killer food, drink some local beers, and snap a bunch more pics to hopefully get more people enjoying this place.

It really does not taste anything like an "old fashioned" but it's very good and my usual go-to. Ambiance is cool. Has a very Edgar Alan Poe vibe mixed with an alchemist/speakeasy. They have a small patio as well. Service: top-notch mixologists/alchemists.

Love the quality of the drinks as they absolutely put effort and time making quality drinks with quality ingredients. It's relatively small inside so I can only imagine it could get packed in there. We had several drinks and every single one was perfection! The bathroom is the cutest and they have the coolest speakeasy door that the employees use to get to the back (not for the customers). My rant..I'm not from the area so I had NO idea what this place was when I walked by. It looked cute so my husband, myself and child walked up the steps and they sat outside while I went to check it out and see if this was a bar/club/ restaurant. I walked inside and instantly got the death glare from an employee. I instantly said omg I take it this place isn't kid friendly.. he rudely said no. I wanted to clarify and confirm even outside ? He said no. I apologized and they left but the vibe and way he said it was definitely off putting. My sister and I decided to stay for a drink while my husband/child went to walk around. Usually I don't give bad costumer service a chance.. but I realllllllly wanted a drink that one of those others customers were drinking. If this place had better costumer service. It would be a 5

Previously you had to enter in the back from an alley, since they were going for the speak-easy vibe and had a facade of a surplus store in the front. Now you can enter in the front and it actually looks like a bar from the outside. I think it's quite nice inside, kind of a late 1920's feel and decor with low lighting and ornate fixtures. They have booths and tables, as well as plenty of bar seating; the bar is quite long. They do have a stage and we were told they have live entertainment. Among the tables they have a variety of games to play. We were very pleased to learn that they allow dogs! On Wednesdays they have all-night happy hour with 2 for 1 drafts (including some wine selections and a cider option) and well drinks. I'm not a cocktail gal, but this seems like the place to grab a cocktail and feel swanky. The bartender was super nice and friendly. I don't venture downtown often, but I'll be back!

We arrived around 5:30 PM on a Saturday. The joint was nearly empty aside from a couple at the bar. Plenty of seating for our large group in the large, comfy couches. A fun and unique way to sort cocktails. They also have a selection of beer on draft and wine. The drinks can also be made into mocktails- a win for our group since we had a few non-drinkers. The 1859 mocktail was great. Perfectly sweet with a small hit of miso flavor from the miso honey. Probably even better and more balanced with the whiskey! Others in my group enjoyed working their way through the many light, dark, and sour beers on tap. 1864 offers a classic, relaxed atmosphere and a great place to get a cocktail.
