The two of us wanted to try out Beck's one quiet Friday night. We were 2 of maybe 6 people total. There are tvs and pool tables. A few poker machines at the bar. There is a variety of seating options and many could use a reupholstering at the least. The keg lines were giving the bartender some trouble that evening. But we got our two beers and sat down in a booth to relax. The music being played over the speakers was one song after another that included the N-word in the lyrics. Like every song- we stayed for maybe 20 minutes and I couldn't take it anymore so we left. read more

My lady and I went in for a quick drink while we were waiting for our pizza next door and the gentleman that was working (thursdays at 6:30pm) was really helpful with our liquor selection and he was a really nice guy and talked to us for awhile while helping others out! Would definitely go back! read more

This place was better than your moms bedroom on an average Tuesday. Tell her to stop calling me.

I wasn't super excited when a friend suggested Beck's for a night out, mostly because I know they allow smoking and that generally makes a bar a no-go in my mind. But, being a flexible person I agreed to head on up there and check it out. Yes, they allow smoking. And no, that's not really my favorite. But more importantly, they are so pet friendly. Bring your dog in, let them wander around and say hi to the other patrons. They're totally fine with that which makes it fun for Katie (the dog) and makes me feel less guilty about leaving her at home while I go out and have fun. Obviously you want to make sure your dog is friendly and well-behaved, it's still a bar and not a dog park. The bartender was super friendly and very attentive, making sure we were taken care of all night and splitting our bill without complaint. They don't serve food there, but you're able to bring it in with you. As far as beer goes, they do some cool tap takeovers and overall have a very nice selection of brews for reasonable prices. Also, Dapper Sundays means drink discounts for those who come in wearing their fanciest of duds, so if you're feeling festive and fancy this is definitely the bar for you. read more

I LOVE this Bar. Why you ask? two words. Music Trivia. Every Wednesday night at 8:30 there is a totally awesome guy names Joe who hosts this fantastic game. Groups of 4 or less are provided with an answer sheet that has certain categories such as number ones, name that tune, sometimes movie quotes, theme time and more. Joe is witty and cool and remembers peoples names. It is a good time. Especially if you love music as much as I do. Becks brew house has more to offer than trivia night. They have karaoke and all sorts of fun events daily! Great beer selection and the bartenders and managers are very friendly. I will continue to bring my friends in and I will be devestated when Joe decides to move on to bigger and better things. yay Wednesday! read more

Still Love this place, although can't go as much.. I should have updated this at the beginning of summer....but they now have a PATIO!! It has been amazing to be able to grab some food next door and sit at the patio while enjoying a couple beers... Still love their beer selection and their happy hours are amazing. read more

I seriously only give this place one star for the appearance. First, the ventilation they claim to help with smoke sucks. Not only did it make my husband and I cold, but when we got home we immediately got out of our clothes because they reeked. Second, the cost of a beer. We paid 6 bucks each for "Dale's Pale Ale" an excellent beer. Bad part is that we could have gone to Great Basin Brewery and paid at most $4 for local artisan beer. Third, not a good sign when the bartender tells us that she doesn't want to serve two of the beers because they are flat. One of which was the special of the day for $4. Fourth, the bartender. While she was friendly, I can't remember her face because her chest was the star. She was practically popping out of her dress. Maybe she does this to get extra tips? My husband commented that it made him feel uncomfortable, (I know...some of you guys will not see this as a problem) and I was right there along with him. I couldn't stop staring even though I had no interest and it made me feel like I was in a sleazy bar that had sunk low in order to get tips. Fifth, clientele. While I'm not trying to bag on them, this was my perception. Men and women in their late twenties to early thirties who are single or possibly married that are looking to get drunk (maybe to lose their inhibitions) but don't want to go somewhere that has younger people. My husband and I are 30 and 31 and we felt out of place although we were the same age bracket. I would have felt more comfortable in a group of 21-year olds. Lastly, this business could do way better if it did cater to a younger crowd. Drawing them in for cheaper drinks, and pizza next door at the "Blind Onion". I will admit that we only came one time on a Friday, but it did nothing to make me want to come back and give it a second try. Sorry if I offended the bartender or any of the clientele, but it was my perception of the business. read more

Love this place! The bartenders and staff are just so amazing. Definitely a hidden gem here in Reno!

I do not understand how amazing this hidden spot is. Total hidden gem. And they make a custom bloody mary that takes a sec to make, but is worth it . I am so happy I found this spot. The taps rotate weekly, and Matt is a real treat. read more

I love me some Becks. Very friendly, funny and fast service. Good vibe from the regulars. Good juke box, or just good old rando Pandora. Sports on the TV, trivia night on Wednesday, open Mic comedy on Thursday. It is great unless someone like 'Matt B" (bogus name) comes in and is exceedingly rude and disrespectful and thinks they own the place. read more

Great selection, decent prices. But this is a SMOKER'S BAR... if you don't smoke, don't come in! Easy! And if you do come in, either leave, or don't complain about it. If you don't like smokers...move to California and STFU. read more

Being hassled is never a fun experience to have... joining some friends at Beck's tonight we were waiting for our pizza to be done at the joint next door and playing some pool I went to the bar to get a soda. I was asked to provide an ID, my drivers license is voided however I am clearly pregnant and simply asking for a soda. Frustrated I went to get the paper copy, when I came back to the bar to prove my age I was further hassled by the female bartender about how it was "nothing to be upset about" and that she doesn't come to "my work and ask her to do illegal things" I understand that to be in an establishment that serves alcohol you must be of legal drinking age which I am. I was not asking to be served alcohol I simply asked her for a soda and I was hassled. Needless to say myself and my friends will not be returning. read more

Was an OK place when it opened, now just another dive with inexperienced people behind the bar. Situation: Playing music and you have a group using the same device to play, sometimes they repeat a song or or 3...if you want your music spend the money and play. Bartender was inexperienced on handling anything, waiting for your drink because she is flirting or gabbing with her latest BFF is no excuse for poor service. Her way of handling the music plays is to turn off the jukebox...instead of asking about the song selection and then stating she lost customers because of it. We were the customers and she was tipped very well for bad service. Bad place might be close to your home but avoid it like the plague. read more

Beckk's rocks. If you're looking for a relaxed place to go for a decent beer after work, and you appreciate something a little better than the usual roster of domestic swill found in our little redneck town, then Beck's is he place for you. Aside from the great beer selection, the act that you actually CAN smoke inside tends to keep the super-yuppie d-bags at bay 90% of the time..... Really, go backup Cali. The bartenders are awesome and the patrons are nice, normal people. Keep up the good work. :) read more

The beer is always changing and rotating to keep the good stuff coming in. The vibe is normally a good atmosphere. There was one night where a unruly couple got drunk off cheap shots and tried to ruin the place. The bartender could've and honestly should've called the police on these old clams. But it's those types that should just get drunk at home. Love the new younger crowd coming in and the fact that my name is always remembered makes me feel welcomed. Can't wait to bring all the boys and come chill! Keep that beer cold for me I'll definitely be back! read more

I thought had stumbled upon one of the few great beer hangouts in Reno. Atmosphere was excellent... recessed lounge below the bar with a pool and Foosball table, flat screens everywhere, and most importantly, a carefully chosen craft beer selection. Plus, the bartender could actually talk about the beers he sold on a higher level than most. Sounds great, right? It is if you're a smoker. There were only two others in the joint, both of whom were stinking up the place. As a nonsmoker its sad to see such a great place be wasted to the stench of nicotine. After talking with a few other friends, I discovered they avoid it due to the smoke as well. Guess that's the market the owners are going for... as for me, I'll stick with Ole Bridge Pub and Craft Beer & Wine. read more

Really poor service. As soon as I arrived negativity from the Brunette bartender having assumptions about me. Then when put a meezily 20$ in a machine that took it anyways, the bartender persisted I called her names & said bullshit when she offered to call the maintenance for the machine. I honestly didn't care but wow. To extra for a night out read more

I couldn't agree more with the AKA H reviewer comments below... wow... talk about a disgusting, sleazy dive bar. My husband and I checked it out because we had a Groupon for it... I wish I could have the $ back. We could barely see each other because the cloud of smoke in there was so thick... and we went on a Tuesday evening for after work drinks. Awful experience. If I could give it no stars I would. Do yourself a favor and go to The Old Bridge Pub, if you want quality beer and a nice environment. read more

Very fun friendly place. I love the beer selection and the beer sizes are awesome. Only thing I don't like is they allow people to smoke inside. read more

Great little bar, wonderful happy hour specials and amazing staff! For a quick drink or if you're waiting to pick up pizza from Blind Onion, this is the place to go! read more

Becks brewhouse is the only place to be! Every time I've come here I'm greeted with a smile and bartenders whether it be SteveReno, Becca, or Tera that make this ones own Cheers! I must also mention the people that visit this bar are exceptional as well!!! I'm happy to say I live near such a wonderful place. If you don't like smokers, fine, so be it, don't come, but even those that don't smoke love this place too, if they're cool! Thanks Todd for a perfect place! read more

I love coming to Becks!! The great thing about this place is there staff!! Courtney, Steve, Mackenzie, great bartenders!! I life close by and they have chosen to stock my favorite sarsaparilla whiskey, that's the epitome of a great neighbor bar. They know their customers and make them feel at home... plus dog friendly! Thank you Becks!! read more

Great selection of beers, awesome bartender and some good music. Enjoyed my 4 hours and I'll be back.

I like this place. You can get the pizza next door delivered. I have been here a few times and drinks are reasonable. It's a smaller bar so if you like to be in a big place then this might not be your place. They have a DJ and karaoke sometimes which can get kind of loud in the small place. All in all though, I don't live on that side of town but when I get over there I always end up there and have fun! read more

We came here the other night after a round of disc golf. We walked in and first thing we noticed was smokers, people chain smoking cigarettes everywhere. It was like a little hot boxed bar with stogie smoke. Ew. We don't smoke and dont like going places with cig smoke but, we decided to check out their beer and drinks. I got a wheat beer and my GF got a dirty gin martini, ew again. She loved her martini and said it was made very well. Personally I hate martinis and even after I tried it knowing I wouldn't like it, I still hated them. My beer however was great! I tried another IPA and it was also good. We'll be going back on a date night to play some pool since its rented by the hour and the bartender was super nice and friendly. We like friendly bartenders and both of ours that night were great! If it was non-smoking we would have given it a 5 star! read more

Best beer bar in Reno hands down. They have a great selection and the prices are really reasonable. I go on mondays because they have $3 drafts all day. Good beer too not just the cheap stuff. I highly recommend this place. Very friendly bartenders. Oh and they have outdoor seating. Great for this time of year. It is a smoking bar but they really do have a great ventilation system and its barely noticeable if youre not seated right next to a smoker. read more

Great place to have a drink. The bartenders are awesome. Its a guaranteed good time when the blonde haired bartender works, its non stop laughter. Great place next door called the blind onion. You can order a pizza there and walk to becks and they will deliver it to you! read more
