This is the place I keep ending up after a night out. Dive Bar with a decent beer selection. Biggest downfall is the dart machines that cost and arm and leg and they don't provide darts that work.

Menu from Yelp event. I had the old fashion and it was delightful!

We had the best time at Huntsman Tavern. The drinks were yummy and to the point. The service was welcoming and helpful. The food was tasteful and priced right. Excited to visit again!

Sparks is so lucky to have this establishment. So many good beers on draft and in cans in the fridge. Generous pours and inventive concoctions if you're drinking spirits. The Huntsman executes magnificently on the top-notch attributes you want while rocking that elevated dive bar vibe. The prices are so reasonable and the service is so good that I can't help but always leave at least a 30% tip here. I know I'm going to have a good time whether I'm giving an out-of-towner friend a taste of the local brews, hanging out on the front patio with the running club on the second and fourth Wednesdays, or moving a work convo here when we realized that the classier place we initially planned was closed on Mondays. I can't wait to see what they do with the former Silver Peak location in midtown!

Excellent beverages! A perfect pour and blend! YUM!

Enjoyed my initial visit and looking forward to returning soon. Friendly, fun place to visit! Love the history behind this establishment, too!

Cozy, friendly place to relax, talk and hopefully win at the bar tops. Zach is a great and informative craft drink maker. Lots of parking. Can get crowded on certain nights.

Super cute. It has enough space here. Its a modern tavern feel. But a friendly tavern atmosphere. The bar tenders talk and give you good drink styles for every taste bud. They have a other side and the pool table is there with a large seating area. You can really spread yourselves out. They do have a bathroom and they have a large parking lot. I only went 9nce, ut would go again. Its just far for my friends. They all live near downtown.

What a cute place! Lots of hunting ambience. They served a Hunting Derby made with Lot 40 Canadian Whiskey, lime, and agave syrup...super tasty. It was served with a half shot of the Lot 40 which was super cool because you could taste the whisky straight. Lot 40 is a Canadian Rye Whisky that is super smooth and mellow with notes of vanilla and citrus. Awesome. Huntsman Tavern has lots of local craft beers on tap and the owner told us about some interesting beers that he has and is in the process of procuring. This would definitely a place to hang out and enjoy a craft beer.

Located in a nondescript shopping center in central Sparks sits a small bar with a fresh face. We went here strictly to get our Whiskey Hunt card, because it's not near me and there isn't much else in the area that I think I would visit. However, once inside, I definitely warmed up to the place. We spoke with the two employees at the time, more so with a gentleman by the name of E.O., who has been working at the bar through three ownerships and maybe just as many names. The latest ownership seems to have taken the bar to a new level with a fresh makeover inside and a craft beer and whiskey-focused concept. They had a nice selection of whiskeys including some good top shelf bottles. I didn't look over the beer menu much, but was told by the other staff member that there was a good local (and non-local too) selection available. We hung out for a while and had a shot of our Lot 40 whiskey, plus the Hide and Seek special which was their take on mint julep. It hit the spot on a hot afternoon! If you feel like hanging out a while, there are countertop slot machines and dart boards as well. No food is served at this time but the owners have bought the business next door and plan on building a kitchen to help with those future late night food cravings. It may be a little while before that's in place though. All in all, it was a fun, easygoing place with nice staff and decent selection of drinks. I would recommend this as a great neighborhood bar!

This was the first stop on the whiskey hunt for my husband and I this year. The Huntsman's Tavern is a little hole in the wall local bar with friendly bartenders. The whiskey that they were serving up was called Lot no. 40 which is a Canadian Rye whiskey. For the whiskey hunt special you got a half shot of whiskey and a Hunting Derby cocktail which is there version of a mint julep. The whiskey was smooth and nice tasting. The Hunting Derby was quite sweet and we really couldn't taste the whiskey in it. The Huntsman Tavern is a low key bar with friendly bartender's! What a great way to start off this year's whiskey hunt!

Really different spot! Kinda fun and looks like they have a full bar. You can play slot games if that's your thing.

Really chill place. There are slot games if that's your thing. It's got a full bar and has a tavern type feeling interior. It's a little small seating around 20-30 but definitely a cool spot.

January 18, 2019 Friday - 5 PM for a drink 1 Adult Atmosphere - 5 stars Food - 5 stars Service - 5 stars Background - Found this place via Untappd and looked closer with Yelp. Unique beers on tap plus a bottle and can selection available. Atmosphere - Small, did I say small? Probably ten spots around the bar, and a three tables. They are located in a very old strip mall. Soon as you step in you forget about the outside world. Very warm and inviting space. Food Drink - I love Ballast Point and they had one on tap I had never heard of. So I order the Spruce Tip Sculpin. I have to say that is my least favorite Sculpin. But they had something rare which is key in the craft beer market. Service - Two guys were working the bar. I got my beer quickly and sat down at one of the tables. After they finished up serving everyone, one of the bartenders visited me and told me about the food truck coming for the retirement party they are having tonight. I did not stay for the truck. Felt that was very helpful. Future - Yes.

If you can catch Jamie on shift, one of the best Old Fashion in basin. Great selection of on draft beers as well.

Love their beers, although I favor their selections of West Coast IPA's over the NE types and Lagers, all the beer they make ia pretty great. In house, they will allow a quick sample before purchasing any of their brews to go, or for consumption on site. Their is an area for larger or small parties to sit, enjoy the beer and socialize, although on this trip, I just grabbed some beer to go, to bring back home.

Time for an update and unfortunately, losing a star. My…read morebiggest reason for this is their social media/text campaign. I don't think a place of business should be sending out texts encouraging people to purchase a specific product that is not currently offered and that's exactly what Revision did. What a waste of peoples' time. Unsubscribed in disappointment and frustration. Social media director, take note! Another complaint is that they have now become "family friendly". I do not want to go to a brewery for adult beverages and end up having to listen to children screaming and running about. They are also no longer allowing outside food to be brought in because they have on site food, serving pizza and hot dogs. We tried a pizza on our last visit, $21 for a large 3 meat which is big enough for 2 adults. Pizza was meh, 3 stars, definitely could have used more toppings. We were thankful it did come out fresh. On a positive note, if you like what seems to be an abundance of IPA style beers they have you covered! They did have some enjoyable, yet expensive stouts on tap along with a couple other non IPA styles.

It was our first time going to a drag show and it was a blast having a Mother's day reunion this way. The entertainers were fun (Maria you're the best) and the drink service could have been a little faster. There were many of us at our table that ordered bottomless mimosas. The rest of our mommy's had tequila and other hard liquors. The food options at the outdoor parking lot were delicious. It did take some time. This parking lot is horribe. I recommend ride share or getting dropped off here so you don't have to leave your car downtown on the streets. This part of 4th street isn't the best area. Shout out to the hubbs for shuttling me. We'll have to come back and have beer on the other side. I love their peanut butter stout and usually have a chilled pack in my fridge in the Summer. Bottom line: We loved Lead Dog and will definitely go back again!

The hot honey was good too. The garlic cheese bread had its good bites and its meh bites. the cheese was inconsistent (some squares had none) as was the garlic. Baked nicely, but the cook could have done better. 2nd visit: Did their slice special with a beer. The slices took a while because they were fresh to order. Not sure if that's normal or not. Good sized portion and good flavor for a "basic slice" or pizza. It's got some flop, if you know what that means.
