This is an incredible local business owned and ran by Patrice! She alone makes your experience at Paddy & Irene's one where you know you're welcome and appreciated. As local Sparks businesses become more corporate, you know that you're supporting someone who lives and works in the community that we love. She also owns and runs "The Ranchhouse" adjacent to P&I which she revitalized as a local destination for great musical guests. Both businesses have a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It's not a place where you are surrounded by random "barflies" who don't engage with others or bother you. It's friendly people, good drinks, great entertainment and even as a non-drinker, still a place to hang out with friends. It can get busy but you still won't feel "alone". Bounce between her adjacent establishments on a weekend during the shows or plant yourself in one spot and make some friends. Patrice will always make you feel like a friend she just hadn't met yet. Paddy & Irene's an Irish Pub is a very cool local place to get a beer and sing a song at Karaoke night. The Bar Owner is Patrice Luziano.... Now this is a fantastic Irish pub. This is a cute little bar, aka the Raider Bar, gets very rowdy during Raider games. Nice people and fun. Bathrooms could use some tlc, no door then get a shower curtain or sheet. read more

We came in during kind of off hours--a Sunday afternoon--and were greeted warmly nonetheless! Although oh ugh there was only one person working and they were out of a lot of stuff after the bush Saturday night, we still enjoyed what we did have. I was really looking forward to checking out Paddy and Irene's pub and trying out their bottomless mimosas as advertised on the website. We were are only over for a short trip and the reviews looked good. We had to take a cab from Reno and when we got there the place was closed. We asked in one of the other places and they said they open when they like and not always as advertised. Which isn't great when you are on a short trip and had to travel to get there. So check they are open before going. read more

Update 2015...I am upgrading this place now to a 5 star review! Came to the Best in the West Rib Cook Off to get my favorite strawberry margarita w/an extra float of tequila and sure enough ran into my favorite bartender Patrice only to learn she bought the place! This is such good news for this establishment because for anything it lacked before this amazing owner will make up for. I have been in management for 20+ years and in the last 15 years managed 100's of people and managers and this lady gets it when it comes to service. I hope that if anyone reading this is in the Reno/Sparks area is looking to swing by a great neighborhood bar under great ownership this is it.... I have been coming to the Rib Cook off for 12+ years and always stop here throughout the day for a margarita. They have a special strawberry margarita they do during this event and it really hits the spot on a hot day. Additionally they will make your margaritas as strong as you like....(not free of course) but this is well worth it. Patrice has been making margaritas for my wife and I for the last 12 years and is always the nicest person. Regardless if it is a year in between we always feel like we just picked up a friendship like it was yesterday. So ordered Stoli and soda gambled a thousand dollars in a four hour period lost tipped $200.00 and at the end of the night the bartender said thank you for gaming but we don't comp for Stoli only Kettle or less so on top of your losses you owe us $197.00 for drinks. This is Nevada if you gamble $20.00 it is customary to comp a drink. If I was informed of the fact that my gaming was not comp based on my choice of vodka I would have gone with kettle. read more

This place was horribly dirty. No doors on the restroom stalls, no toilet paper, no paper towels. Also to get a drink took forever. I was treated rudely by a young drunk woman that was trying to start a fight with me while waiting for my drink. If you want to relax and have a good time, DON'T go here, it's a real Shit show. I went with my husband on an impromptu Friday night out. The karaoke is so fun and the bartender/owner Patrice is great. I made a large mistake on my tab, called the following Monday. I got a call back saying they were happy to refund my mistake and wanted to reassure me that they are honest business people. I completely agree. I will be definitely be visiting again. Paddy and Irene's recently started serving food. I figured I'd be getting regular bar food. Trust me when I say: this "Bar Food" is well worth the trip. The chicken wings were tender (fall off the bone) with a crisp skin. The buffalo sauce was on point and they do NOT skimp on the sauce or the blue cheese dip. No teeny 2oz dips. Enough to dunk! The zucchini sticks looked like they would be dry (air fryer look on the breading) but it was nice and crisp without being drippy-oily. The marinara is to die for and again, plenty of sauce for dunking! Here is the star of the day: the turkey sandwich is a holy -crap have to go just for the sandwich! Herb butter on the roll, and the bread has the perfect outer crust with a nice, soft bite in the center. Not doughy- just crisp and soft all in one bite. The flavor of the herb butter and turkey/provolone is impossible to describe. You HAVE to try this sandwich! read more

And by "using" I mean, they started both games but are standing around texting...and are too self centered to finish the game when we ask if they're playing.
