Overall good for a food stall. My kids liked their musubi and loco moco (this needed more seasoning for me). The teriyaki for me was a bit sweet with a lot of sauce that overpowered the rice. No veggies came with the teriyaki chicken so I had to buy from another place in the food court to round it out. I would try other places in the food court before coming back.

CID Food Walk stop number two: Aloha Plates, the classic Hawaiian standby in the Uwajimaya food court. 2x Spam Musubi + Mac Salad Food Walk Special ($8) - The spam musubi are held in a heater so they are served warmed up by default. I didn't expect much out of these, but they were surprisingly good. The rice is cooked perfectly, sticky and tender, yet each grain is distinctive and almost bouncy, giving great mouthfeel. The musubi seems to be dipped in a small amount of soy sauce, although not enough to cover the entire rice surface. The additional sodium isn't really needed in the first place due to the salty and meaty kick the spam on top gives the handheld snack. It's a classic combination for a good reason! (4/5) For the Food Walk special, they only give a small scoop of mac salad. I'm sure the normal side portion for $5.94 is much larger. The salad is unspectacular but solid. It's a little sweet, a bit peppery, and certainly very creamy. There's a bit of julienned carrot included that isn't particularly crunchy, being soaked in the mayo sauce. The macaroni itself isn't mushy or overcooked, so it still has some texture. (4/5) I don't usually expect much out of food court restaurants, but Aloha Plates definitely surprised me with their quality. It seems like a solid option for Hawaiian.

This Hawaiian eatery is located in a food hall in Chinatown Seattle area. They had excellent customer service. The food was hot and fresh. Our party ordered burgers, Shin ramen, musubi and the Bok Bok meal. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The Shin Ramen was spicier than we expected. My musubi had hard rice, however another one was fluffy and delicious. Prices were comparable to others in the food hall. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat nearby on the many available tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It's fast food. I got the teriyaki chicken, which is kind of a general go to when in Seattle. It had absolutely no spice to it, of which I'm not accustomed. I like spicier chicken teriyaki. It was quick and they were pleasant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is that of a food court and there's usually just about no place to sit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Not a good burger. Too soggy, greasy, and messy. It's too expensive to be falling apart so easily. It made my stomach hurt afterwards.

I hardly ever go to any of the delis and eateries in the Uwajimaya food court, so I didn't expect to eat here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food court itself has a decent amount of seating that fills up every weekend[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], though I came here with a friend on a Friday afternoon to get something quick to eat here. They have a good selection of combo plates and Musubi, and everything on the menu looked tempting. Since I only ordered up at the counter, no comment on service here. I got the kalua pork and chicken katsu combo here, and it came packaged in a box along with a side of Mac salad. This was all right at best; the pork was slightly more watered down than what I would have preferred, so there wasn't too much taste. The chicken katsu, however, was full of meat and somewhat bland but was very filling. The combo itself also came at a very good price for its quantity and even quality in this case.

I recommend Aloha Plates. Perfect crispy-ness. Fresh-breaded. Mac salad tasted new. Katsu sauce is awesome! My order was on time. Thank you for stapling the bag to preserve the heat! At least for this style- Texas style...sort of a combo with both dry rub (Memphis style) and a kick ass sauce ala KC. It was excellent. We both wanted the ribs and brisket so we each got the 'double trouble' and got different sides...greens, cornbread, corn pudding and mashed potatoes. Oh yeah, we also got the fried pickle appetizer. The meat was perfectly done...tender and smoky. Each side was big, and flavorful. I especially liked the greens, my son said it was the best he'd had. Then they brought out the banana pudding. When the server put it on the table my son made a reference to a vampire movie we'd recently watched where the vampires could see the arteries in the necks of their victims and he made a motion to show that the banana pudding was almost pulsating on the table before us. We descended on that poor pudding like crazed nosferatu just awakening from a centuries long nap. Blood lust. It was so good. Gone in about 1 minute. Our evil souls were barely sated. Our thirst for banana pudding only temporarily slaked. The server joked that he's always wanted to bring in a boba straw for the stuff. It's good. Anyway- put this place on your list. Best bbq in Seattle? Maybe? This is a food genre that's important to me and I haven't yet seen better. $130 for two people with tip, wine and a take-home pudding.

One day, lightning struck a tree, causing a massive forest fire that killed many animals. Our ancestors then discovered that cooked meat tasted much better than raw meat. This is why roast meat has always been regarded as an important part of the human diet. Today I gathered with friends and chose this barbecue restaurant. It's located north of Redmond, with a prominent sign and plenty of parking. Ambiance: The decor is creative, but it feels quite contradictory. Barbecue is inherently a very "Jianghu" (lively, rough-and-tumble) kind of thing, yet the restaurant leans toward an artistic, literary style. When I used to run my own restaurant, I followed a principle: avoid anything unrelated to the core dining experience. Seeing many books on the shelves here, I understand they're trying to bridge Jianghu and artistry -- but it clearly feels out of place. That said, the place is very clean, and the stickers/decorations are festive. Service: My high rating for this restaurant is largely based on the service. After we sat down, we were given free appetizers -- braised peanuts, which tasted great. The staff training is very professional, whether it's taking orders, making recommendations, attending to us during the meal, or checking on tables and refilling water. All excellent. Taste: Jianghu-style cuisine is characterized by boldness, satisfaction, and not sweating the small details. We ordered spicy hot pot (Malatang), spicy hot pot skewers, grilled beef, lamb, chicken gizzards, oysters, and many other items. First, the Malatang and spicy skewers tasted almost identical, so it felt like eating the same thing. The grilled skewers were just average -- neither good nor bad. The oysters were very tasty. However, the shrimp in the spicy skewers were very unfresh, which was disappointing.
