We sat upstairs in their covered patio with fans (even cooler, when it began to rain the plastic covering kept us dry). I enjoyed the carriage house margarita with a tahini rim. The guacamole and chips were divine - although we needed more chips for the portion. We gorged ourselves on empanada platters. I loved the corn and chicken, but wasn't too crazy about the steak. Others raved about the queso, lamb, and chorizo. I loved the number of options and all the delicious sauces. Our server was phenomenal. She took great care of us during the evening. We also were visited by the manager and treated kindly for visiting. So happy to experience this restaurant! Reservations recommended. Indoor and patio seating, and can be great for groups.

We had a mid-large sized group and the staff were happy to explain or ask you directly if you'd like anything. My only issue really came down to the food quantity/quality for the cost. I shared the bao buns, I thought those were great, 3 for ~$23. Then the ravioli. THE RAVIOLI. 5 mid sized pieces of ravioli for $33 and it's listed as a "Large Plate" entree?! Same with the Chilean sea bass for $50. Small-medium sized fish, with some greenery/a couple veggies. Just not really worth it to me personally. Drinks were good though.

The hospitality was great, and their drink and food recommendations were equally wonderful. One thing to note is the portions on the appetizers are fairly large, so keep that in mind when ordering. To start, we ordered the Korean Fried Mushrooms with baechu kimchi, gochujang honey, daikon radish, furikake, and scallions. These were great but unfortunately had to save room for the other items and could not finish. Then got the Center Cut Ribeye which came with cajun spiced spaetzle, summer squash, remoulade sauce, pink peppercorn ricotta, scallions, sweetie drops, and chimichurri. The steak was cooked to a rare/medium rare consistency that was delicious and we loved the tiny peppers. We paired it with a nice red wine the bartender recommended and it was a lovely experience. Lastly we ended the night with the strawberry dacquoise and espresso. The dessert came with strawberry mousse, pistachio cake, strawberry glaze, white chocolate bark with pistachio & pink peppercorn, and frosted mint. It was a refreshing summertime dessert perfect to end the day. I definitely recommend the steak dish and heard the airline chicken and Chilean sea bass were good too. Would love to come back and try a cocktail and a different dish while sitting on the patio! Second Time: Got the tamarind disco cocktail that comes with a lollipop - amazing, would order again! We tried the fried chicken and caviar, pork chop, and honey cake! All three were delicious - the fried chicken and mushrooms are tied for appetizers, bowers we still think the steak is better than the pork chop. The honey cake was amazing and it paired perfectly with the decalf espresso martini (or a black coffee perhaps). Looking forward to round 3 during my next work trip!

They have an interesting cocktail menu and were willing to modify one drink for a friend who avoids dairy. We decided to share a bunch of plates. The honey butter and syrup just went so well with the items. The next favorite was the pancake tacos. They were basically a breakfast plate in taco form. It's a bit messy but they were tasty. The biscuits and gravy weren't bad, but weren't anything show stopping. We also really enjoyed the loaded tots. They weren't anything like I was expecting. They looked like hush puppies and were amazing. The atmosphere inside was nice as well.

The hostess set a hostile tone immediately after we walked in excited and happy to eat at a good restaurant. She asked with extreme attitude "Inside or Outside" which we replied respectfully "Outside". She led us outside without a response and started setting the table. When we ATTEMPTED to sit down she then snapped at my girlfriend "Wait till I'm done". After finishing, I thanked her and asked her name (I was going to her manager with this issue right after), she ignored me completely and stormed inside. I approached her directly inside at the hosetess stand and apologized if we'd offended her somehow, and asked what was wrong. Her response: "I'm just doing my job." That's not service... that's arrogance and caught me so off guard I couldn't comprehend where this energy was stemming from. All we did was show up for dinner and we were treated with hatred. My girlfriend went in to address it. Not one staff member asked what happened. No apologies. No attempt to make it right. Just silence and dirty looks. We left without ordering. Management had a chance to fix this and chose not to. That's a failure at every level. Whatever reputation Bluebeard has, this killed it for us. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else.

We came in on a Friday night at 6:30 with no reservation, and had to wait ~5 minutes for a table of two. We were sat at a high top at the bar, which we appreciated. Our server greeted us quickly, and checked in a few times throughout the night. Service was average, nothing spectacular but nothing to complain about. I had a hurricane to start off. Packed full of the good stuff, and one was definitely enough for the night. Appropriate price for what you get. This drink is what brought my review from a 2 for the food to a 3 in total. We started off with pork Bao buns. The bun was spongy, but somewhat dry. The pork lacked any sort of flavor, and the sauce on it didn't do much for me. The next part of the meal was the most disappointing for me: the curry chicken wings. Let me tell you- I was excited for these. These lacked any sort of flavor at all, and the only thing saving it was the ranch. The wings had a good crisp, but the sauce was lacking taste. I had the Shoyu ramen for my main. It was a pretty average bowl of ramen, but for the price, I expected more. The pork in it was flavorful, but the chicken in it was odd in my opinion with an unexpected herby flavor. Overall, service was average (but we appreciated getting sat fast), drinks were strong (and saved the meal) and the food was average. Would go if invited by a friend, but probably would not return on my own.
