Celebrated my birthday at Almost Famous with my girlfriends and I must say the ambience is so chic and the overall experience was amazing! I tried the biscuits with gravy and let's just say the portion and taste both had me so happy! There was a smoky touch which made the biscuits so good! Service was prompt and so good, I had a great time! Highly recommend trying out the brunch in the day or cocktails at night! Such a nice place!

Oh my gosh, so awesome and probably one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had. We came here after a recommendation from our server at The Fountain Room, and to our surprise it was a fun Halloween pop up! We got lucky and found seating as a walk in, and we loved the Halloween vibes and decor. The place itself is quaint and cozy, and you can tell they definitely take the quality of their drinks seriously. As stated before, my espresso martini was wonderful. I'm still thinking about it 2 months later! I also love that they're a coffee shop as well, I'd be here pretty regularly if I was an Indy local. So happy we stopped by!

I was pleasantly surprised on my first visit! They had their sippin' Santa popup with super cute tiki drinks. Very cutely decorated! (This was several weeks ago so not sure it's still up or not!) The food! They have an AMAZING happy hour deal, 2 small bites for $15. EVERYTHING was delicious. Definitely get the basque cheesecake and the setas! I will definitely be back to try more items.

We stopped in because we ended up finding a parking spot in front of the place and I was in the mood for coffee, while my husband wanted a cocktail so it was the perfect place! We found a spot at the bar. The place was very intimate and small, but not crowded. There's a decent stage, so I'm curious what types of events they have! Again, I wanted coffee so I was excited to try the Shakerato, which was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back to try other drinks and the food.

I've had 3 fun experiences here; and two of the best mocktails anywhere in Indy and they were just as good as any other drink I've had I'm a big fan of almost famous the environment the DJs bartenders are cool all in all a very good place to come hang out and no I don't believe in punctuation.

This was my first visit. Love the space. Great drinks and the service was friendly and speedy. Looking forward to going back when we can hang out longer.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Almost Famous! My best friend and I cannot be swayed in our decision that they make the best espresso martinis in Indianapolis. They are always perfect. We stopped in here late on a Saturday night and they were playing Supernatural on the projector screen on stage (my favorite comfort show) and my bestie and I had some dirty martinis + espresso martinis while our counterparts split a bottle of Prosecco. Every time we stop at Almost Famous I have a great time. The bathroom decor is also super fun and I always crack up at the Michael Scott quote that is in both bathrooms. I wholeheartedly recommend this bar to anyone who hasn't already tried them! My next mission is to stop in here during their brunch hours...

We sat upstairs in their covered patio with fans (even cooler, when it began to rain the plastic covering kept us dry). I enjoyed the carriage house margarita with a tahini rim. The guacamole and chips were divine - although we needed more chips for the portion. We gorged ourselves on empanada platters. I loved the corn and chicken, but wasn't too crazy about the steak. Others raved about the queso, lamb, and chorizo. I loved the number of options and all the delicious sauces. Our server was phenomenal. She took great care of us during the evening. We also were visited by the manager and treated kindly for visiting. So happy to experience this restaurant! Reservations recommended. Indoor and patio seating, and can be great for groups.

The hospitality was great, and their drink and food recommendations were equally wonderful. One thing to note is the portions on the appetizers are fairly large, so keep that in mind when ordering. To start, we ordered the Korean Fried Mushrooms with baechu kimchi, gochujang honey, daikon radish, furikake, and scallions. These were great but unfortunately had to save room for the other items and could not finish. Then got the Center Cut Ribeye which came with cajun spiced spaetzle, summer squash, remoulade sauce, pink peppercorn ricotta, scallions, sweetie drops, and chimichurri. The steak was cooked to a rare/medium rare consistency that was delicious and we loved the tiny peppers. We paired it with a nice red wine the bartender recommended and it was a lovely experience. Lastly we ended the night with the strawberry dacquoise and espresso. The dessert came with strawberry mousse, pistachio cake, strawberry glaze, white chocolate bark with pistachio & pink peppercorn, and frosted mint. It was a refreshing summertime dessert perfect to end the day. I definitely recommend the steak dish and heard the airline chicken and Chilean sea bass were good too. Would love to come back and try a cocktail and a different dish while sitting on the patio! Second Time: Got the tamarind disco cocktail that comes with a lollipop - amazing, would order again! We tried the fried chicken and caviar, pork chop, and honey cake! All three were delicious - the fried chicken and mushrooms are tied for appetizers, bowers we still think the steak is better than the pork chop. The honey cake was amazing and it paired perfectly with the decalf espresso martini (or a black coffee perhaps). Looking forward to round 3 during my next work trip!

Just beware get there early if you want the good stuff. Getting to the food we did order, mind you the chef was not in the house on a Monday, which is fine and modus operandi for chef driven concepts. I know this and I am fine if everything is executed per chef expectation. So either it was a tough night in the kitchen or the food concept is off, maybe a lil of both. Soup of the day Carrot was spot on, spicy, savory. Needed a lil salt but very nice. Roasted Carrot - curveball when I see roasted i think warm. Nope- cold appetizer. Which would've been fine that was mentioned. Problem also was I wouldn't say they were roasted really because they did not seem to have the roasted look, morenlike a few light grill marks and they had a snap/crunch like a raw carrot. A roasted carrot is sweet and unctuous. The concept of the dish was good but execution not. Unless you just want to say carrots w harrisa. Entrees we could order we will start w scallop risotto . Risotto was under by a stretch. I have risotto far and wide and I know its supposed to be al dente but this was quite under. Scallops cooked nicely but salty Pork chop - chef recommendations on temp is mediumish, I concur 145 to maybe 150. Pork chop i received was more like the old days of 165 even by the bone not a sheckle of juice. My mother would have been proud (iykyk, cause when I grew up nothing had juice. It could kill ya). Flavor was decent. Accoutrements were forgettable. Overall the I know why I haven't been lately. Tinker is okay but should be better if you want $50 per entree. I know this is not finest dining in the city, it's not meant to compete with the Vidas, or 32 down town steakhouse, but at least make the food memorable. It wasn't.

The honey butter and syrup just went so well with the items. The next favorite was the pancake tacos. They were basically a breakfast plate in taco form. It's a bit messy but they were tasty. The biscuits and gravy weren't bad, but weren't anything show stopping. We also really enjoyed the loaded tots. They weren't anything like I was expecting. I walked past, looking longingly, past the next sports bar, a torta place, the hole in the wall, and towards the new apartments when my courage finally reared. I returned (luckily downhill) and passed the other bars where people were transfixed on the home opener of the pacers and nuggets. Good for them. My heart was on food and a recommendation from a friend I just met after having moved here. I walked in to the host stand at a bar and asked if I could sit; they said sure, but the bar is over there and pointed to an ante room near the kitchen. A new room, a new adventure, and the smells and music flowing out transfixed me. I found a stool, took a deep breath, and started to peruse and study the cocktail menu and constantly changing main menu. I ordered a beverage, Alex dutifully told me what was available and really just sauntered into my meal. Starting with oysters on seaweed with vinegar mignonette hit the briny taste point I needed against my drink. The roasted carrots with pomegranate and gravy were divine and hot with Cambrian chili slices. I followed that with the pricci pasta dish and the yogurt sauces mixed with the harissa lamb just sang on my taste buds. However; I did look. At the desert menu before ordering my main. Knowing how the pastry chef is acclaimed and is currently having a moment. That dessert, amazing. So fucking amazing. The custard pie was like someone figured out how to deconstruct a milk caramel, put it onto the top of a brown sugar tart that just melts in your mouth like a sugar cookie batter before it sets. This custard tart took longer to get off of my plate than the time it took me to eat the rest of my meal. I tasted each component, savored every last morsel, and shared bits with those on either side of me. Divine is not enough of an adjective with the prowess to express my gratitude. The team at the bar were not only attentive, they were my friends and helped me thoroughly enjoy my first Friday night out in a new city. They are a family and I felt a part of that for my 1.5 hour meal. 5/5 would recommend. DO NOT SKIP THIS PLACE!!!

We came by on a Tuesday around 4ish but apparently they only serve a snack menu between 4-5. We waited until closer to 5 and came back, then were seated immediately. The service was great and I loved the ambiance. There was plenty of natural lighting and it just felt calm. To drink, I ordered the redrum cocktail and it was soo good, almost just tasted like apple cider. They change the menu everyday so you don't really know what there will be until you get there (but the menu online was kinda similar to what they had). To eat, we shared the grilled bread, red leaf salad, casarecce, patatas bravas, and beef tri-tip. This might have been too much for just the two of us lol, and we probably could have done without the potatoes because they were the most meh out of everything. I think I only ate one or two. The grilled bread came with the most delicious butters (I think one was chive and one was honey cinnamon) and some olive oil with garlic, soo good. The red leaf salad was amazing. I love that they clarify the apples are jonathan apples (my favorite variety)--it was definitely one of the most perfect fall salads and I would love to try recreating it myself. The casarecce came with a pesto sauce and it tasted so fresh. The beef tri-tip was good, but nothing spectacular. For dessert, we ordered the pumpkin ice cream and omg it was amazing--might have been one of the best pumpkin ice creams I've ever had. It tasted exactly like pumpkin pie filling. We also got the croissant pudding (like bread pudding but with croissants) and it was also so delicious. Definitely don't skip on desserts if you come here because they are worth it.
