We were able to walk in and get two seats at the bar (our preferred seating when available) even…read morethough the rest of the restaurant was full. Here are all the things that went right: - we were immediately greeted by the bartender Jackson and presented menus and water and told about the featured cocktails -as we were deciding what to drink, I noticed a pretty impressive coctktail list and a list of some very good, rich red wines -the Angel's Envy Bourbon Berry Smash was delicious..spoken by someone who normally doesn't like bourbon but wanted to try an Angels Envy bourbon drink that was not too sweet. I chose the raspberry rosemary syrup as the berry of choice. My boyfriend had a well made gin and soda. -nice to see there were appetizer and entree specials. Makes you want to come back to see what will be on the specials list each week in addition to a nice well-rounded menu -Jackson helped us select among multiple good sounding entrees. As a pescatarian I wanted a seafood dish and decided on the suggested seafood risotto. My date was between a couple of fish dishes but after a discussion with the bartender and a further description he decided on the Maui Mahi with coconut risotto. We chose to split a salad rather than have an appetizer. -the meal--the salad came out on two plates so we did not need to divide the spring mixed berry and goat cheese salad. It was delicious and fresh and definitely enough for two side salads. We were also provided some warm crusty bread with olive oil and balsamic. Our entrees were of good portion size, visually appealing and HOT---not just warm---which I greatly appreciated and talked about after we left. The risotto was prepared perfectly by someone who clearly knows how to make a proper risotto--it was not gluey and set-up, but perfectly tender and creamy. The seafood was delicious. The scallops were seared nicely and not overly salty (something many restaurants don't understand is that you typically don't have to salt shellfish as it is salty/briny on its own). My boyfriend's mahi was sizable portion on top of an ever so slightly sweet and spicy coconut risotto. His was fantastic as well. We also enjoyed the sautéed zucchini that came with both..also nice and hot! -we had a delicious bottle of wine with dinner. After we paid for dinner and left with our remaining wine, we promptly came back in because of the heavy downpour of rain. We sat back down and finished our wine. The things that could be ever so slightly improved: -the lighting in the dining area is fitting of the decor and vibe of a nicer restaurant but the lighting at the bar is just too bright. Could maybe benefit from dimming them and possibly adding a few candals oe the small table/rechargeable lamps along the bar as it seemed wide enough. -the shrimp on the risotto should be two larger shrimp (8-10 size ) rather than the very small shrimp that don't seem to fit the vibe of the dish -there were only two options for dessert...maybe another one or two would be great -a little birdie told us that the restaurant will be having a happy hour menu soon (and a second location). We would LOVE for you to add some truffle fries with some sort of aioli...we can envision ourselves stopping in for those and some wine...often! Great addition to the limited higher end restaurants in the area. We look forward to many more meals there.

We sat at the bar and had a drink. Only issue with that is they didn't go to the bar to call your name so if you don't check on it, you may miss it. I had the chicken masala and it was delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The mushrooms and sauce had a great flavor. My brocolli was bland so I had to add salt and pepper. My other side was an angel hair pasta with an olive oil, tomato, and basil sauce. It was great! The restaurant was clean and had the perfect amount of lighting for a date. The bathrooms needed a mid day cleaning. They weren't awful, just needed a sweep and some tp refills. I defenitely recommend checking this place out and and giving them your own rating since the ratings are so all over the place.

But…read moretonight the opposite - the hostess seemed utterly unconcerned with doing her job in a timely manner, & repeatedly abandoned her station for several minutes without even acknowledging the line of waiting customers with a "be with you shortly". Once seated, it was 20 minutes before a waitress appeared to take our order and 45 before any food was on the table. My aunt's food didn't even come out with the rest of ours because their system somehow lost her order, and even though the waitress implied her steak would be comped because of the delay, she was only offered a free dessert when the bill actually came. Several steaks we ordered were not prepared as requested, but we didn't want to have to wait even longer to just be able to eat after waiting an hour for our entrees (the dining areas were 50-60% full, not "busy"). TLDR- Service was awful, food was unimpressive. We will not be back again.

The fries were too spicy to eat and sitting in deep oil (not chili sauce). Wanted ranch but nobody was around to serve us. Service: The waiter took our order then disappeared for the remainder of our time there. The bartender served our food, the disappeared. We had to flag someone down for condiments, napkins and silverware, a refill (not free, but didn't say as much), and our bill. The bill we received and the price they charged was at least $6 because they totally changed it when they scanned my credit card. Ambiance was ok. They had a band arriving. But no staff. An odd experience, probably won't go back given the extra charges on my credit card and lack of service.

We arrived right after the brunch rush which seemed like a more laid back time. The decor is fun and hosting large gatherings would be easy to do here, perhaps not for sports though as the TV situation would leave one disappointed. The drinks were good and our waitress seemed knowledgeable about the different brews. The food was edible but nothing special. The jerk flavor was no where to be found, the Tex-mex nachos looked promising but they too were lacking in flavor. The fries, could be cooked a bit longer. I would, however, recommend the chicken bowl.
