    Menemen

If you're looking for a cozy spot with a simple yet traditional menu, The Social Sloth is a hidden gem you need to visit! The freshly made bread and pastries are an absolute delight, making each bite feel like a warm hug from a culinary grandma. I couldn't resist the menemen, and while it may seem basic at first glance, the explosion of flavors made it clear this dish is anything but ordinary. The ambiance is charming and unpretentious, making it a perfect place for a casual brunch or a laid-back coffee date. Friendly staff, great food, and a vibe that makes you want to come back. I know I will!

Turkish cafe! Great food, great vibes. We ordered Turkish egg, Turkish tea and beef pastries. We also ordered eclairs. I can't discribe how delicious everything was! The egg is mixed with tomato sauce and onion. Very unique flavor. The pastries tasted similar to samosa. Puffy and warm. Prices are unbeatable! I highly recommend this place for breakfast or brunch.

Amazing food and very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was what you expect from a small business, which was welcoming and attentive. We also took a variety pack of the Turkish Delights home, out of this world delicious, definitely coming back often.

Delicious Turkish food - obviously prepared with love! Meatballs, beef stew, sauces like whoa, chai lattes, salads, cakes, tahini sweets, baklava, and more! Cute sloth designs and art all over the place. Lovely owners/chefs who give great food ideas and seat ideas ("The plates won't all fit at this table, let's migrate to the bigger table!") ... One of my favorite places to eat in Michigan!

The staff was so kind and welcoming! Best dessert in the area. The coffee was so authentic! Great place for family and friends to gather or studying! 5 stars.

Köfte (Turkish meatballs) with rice, salad, and baklava)

The Social Sloth Cafe & Bakery has been on my list for a while, and it did not disappoint, and most definitely lived up to the hype. I ordered the Köfte, which are Turkish meatballs, and they were delicious, especially with the mint yogurt sauce on the side. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the salad provided a nice complement to the savory flavor of the dish. I, of course, ordered the baklava for a dessert, and it was by far my favorite part--so delicious! I'm happy I stopped by, and will for sure be a repeat customer. I'm hoping to try something new each time I stop by!

Finally had a chance to try Social Sloth and I wasn't disappointed! I tried Turkish coffee for the first time and found it to be very flavorful- I normally like cream in my brewed coffee but this I drank as is, no bitterness at all. It was served in the cutest cup too. I also ordered the Traditional Breakfast plate which was amazing! The service was great and very accommodating. So many items that I want to try so I will definitely be back!

A quaint little coffee/Bakery shop with Turkish Tea, & coffee,". It doesn't just stop there. It's a full on Restaurant with Authentic Turkish food for Breakfast through Dinner. they have Turkish sausage called Sujuk which is a little spicy and very good. And the Traditional Breakfast plate with the Olives, & Feta and fresh vegetables with homemade jams was very abundant & filling. If your looking fort homemade food. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

Our host was super kind, helpful with the menu and had a sense of humor. Grape leaves - I believe it was cold if I remember, and it's a softer/mushy texture. The host called it "Turkish Sushi." It was good and different! Appetizers- phenomenal. Fresh, hot, flavorful. We had cheese served on a hot stone, it was beautiful. Nothing was over or under seasoned. Everything was cooked perfectly. Nice fry, nice bake, nice sizzles. Salmon was cooked just right. Calamari was fried great and had a good crunch. Feta borek reminded me of crab cheese ragoons. I love the way it's prepared though, even bites and good flaky crunch. The shell is light and wasn't greasy. Baklava was delicious. Rice pudding was delicious. Drinks were on point. 10/10 will be back again!

Zeytin serves authentic Turkish cuisine along with other middle eastern and American food. A table favourite was the Pepper Delight. Basically, chopped red and green peppers combined with walnuts and tomato. I highly recommend both the Rice pudding and the Fried calamari. Nice big plate I had almost all to myself. The service was friendly and somewhat attentive. My friend, Darius, ordered the Chicken shish kebab and the pita was dry, cold and stale. They immediately returned with fresh, hot, moist bread. The wait for the initial order and drink refills was a bit longer. The dining area is large, yet cozy. The eatery has a very embracing, warm ambiance and it's a great gluten-free zone. The guy that suggested we stop here eats vegan. 01/26

Service was quick and friendly. We were given waters right away, and we ordered a couple of glasses of wine that came shortly thereafter. She checked on us multiple times during our meal to see how everything was and to ask if we wanted plates removed. My husband ordered the branzino ($44) which was wrapped in parchment paper and served with a chili sauce, broccolini, and rice. He's ordered it before and loved it and having tried it now I understand why. It was cooked beautifully and the flavor was amazing. I had the tagliarini ($27) which came with a lemon cream sauce and I thought it was good but not great. The pasta was cooked well and the sauce was tasty but it was pricey given the lack of protein. Overall I enjoyed our lunch and would go back despite higher than average prices.

Our dog-friendly, outdoor seating for Cafe Zola was in prime position to people watch all the other restaurants. We ordered calamari, foccacia bread, skirt steak and roasted chicken. Maybe there were better things on the menu? But I have to judge Cafe Zola on the food we had. To be honest, it was just ok. The steak was more rare than medium-rare, the spinach side wasn't seasoned, the calamari was too salty, the chicken could've been brined and more juicy. I'm not a hater. I'm just being honest about what I experienced. Still, our server Maddie was so bubbly and sweet. She was the best part of our evening.

I'd ordered Haswi with two sides, it was pretty much seasoned rice with a few crumbs of beef and big dry chunks of chicken white meat mixed in. My companion had a dish that was a mix of spinach, onion and feta wrapped in filo dough and she said it was inedible from all the onion and vinegar. I took it home and heated it up, yes, it was indeed inedible. Into the trash it went.
