Food was amazing and service was top tier! Everyone was super friendly and ensured we had a great meal! Loved the Turkish coffee set and the appetizer combo was delicious! We will definitely be back.

I could take a bath in the tziki sauce! My friend loves this place and definitely talked up the food, especially their butter rice. And let me tell you, zeytin did not disappoint. I got the Gyro and the portion was generous. For the price I was very satisfied. The meat was tender and tasty and with the rice and tziki, *chefs kiss.* the side salad wasn't anything special but did add a nice crunch to the dish. Service was friendly and the ambiance was absolutely adorable. I love the space they created, with unique bar seating and creative booths the design of the pace was both cohesive and eclectic. Overall 4/5 stars, I would visit again.

3.5 stars. We went out to dinner with our friend and it was our first time eating at Zeytin. We went at 5:30 on a Sunday and it was still pretty busy- likely due to their great happy hour specials. Service is pretty slow due to lack of help (a long time to get water, orders, the bill) and there are signs posted everywhere stating they're hiring/in need of help. The appetizer sampler was tasty but the pita that accompanied the meal, while plentiful, was pretty stale. It's also the thin type of pita in case you aren't expecting that! We did try a few entrees which were the highlight (although in the $18-$20 end) - tender/moist chicken and flavorful kofta. The accompanying cabbage salad was interesting but still tasty. The falafel appetizer was not what I was expecting - different shape, different texture- kind of small for the price and the accompanying veggies weren't really needed. I think overall we've been a bit spoiled by all of the Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food we were surrounded by in SE Michigan before moving to GR and perhaps had too high of expectations, but we would come back, particularly for the happy hour deals!

First time here, this is so far the best Turkish food I've ever tried. All the pros about this place : - Very nice neat and fancy environments, classy and clean I love it - All the dishes we ordered are super delicious! You can't decide which one is better - They have shortage in their staff, but that didn't stop them from giving such a pleasant service. - Their prices are just right ! I totally recommend coming here with no hesitation!

A beautiful afternoon, outdoor couches, Mediterranean food and happy hour; color me happy. A nice young man seated us in one of many comfy couches, we received menus and water promptly. Our waiter took our drink order and later food order by memory, and out came some lovely fresh food. The Turkish music piped in is extra nice, reminding me of being in exotic lands. The location by the river let's a sweet breeze through on this lovely spring day. This was my first meal there and I'm sure to return. Appetizer sampler for 2, falafel, and the Zeytin special, Turkish coffee, and a house Chardonnay!

Oh. My. Heavens. For…read morethose that don't know, I will only leave a review if I'm extremely impressed or very disappointed and dissatisfied. I'm a huge snob, even when it comes to dive restaurants. I have resolved to only write positive reviews on places that I believe truly deserve the praise they have earned. This is one of those places. This joint is completely unassuming. Sparse decoration, low drop-tile ceiling, brightly lit (too bright for your usual Mediterranean joint), HDTV menus near the front register... But, does a restaurant need anything other than a great menu and delicious, freshly prepared, well-spiced fare to be an amazing experience? I answer loudly "NO!" This restaurant is wonderful. They serve some of the best Mediterranean food I've had, and I've been many places throughout the US and internationally. Finding this in my own back yard makes me so happy to live in GR. My wife and I split the spicy feta fries, which neither of us could stop shoving in our mouths. Now, a bit about me - I survived a massive heart attack five years ago. Five bypasses. Month in a coma. Six months learning to walk again. I SHOULD NOT BE EATING FRIES!! And yet... I couldn't help myself. Each bite was perfection in crispy potato form. And a heavy garlic presence. The toum is worth it. Completely worth it. Gives Sheshco a serious run for best in town. Not greasy or too "mayonnaise-y." She had the shish tawook ("chicken kabob") and I had a gyro pita. Her chicken was stunningly tender and temptingly well-seasoned. Rice was floral and delicious. Hummus, not quite garlicky enough, but smooth and refreshing. And the Nutella cheesecake was heavy and smooth and wonderful. My gyro was obviously done in-house, same as the pickled turnips ("liyft"). love pickled turnips, and I truly believe that these aren't the commercially available jarred ones. Gyro meat was well-spiced, perfectly tasty and amazingly tender. The service was warm and friendly. Wife and I will be back again...and again. We hope to see you there!! Worth a drive and some time. Bring an empty tummy and get ready to enjoy!!

Very unassuming in the rural area of Alto, across from Campau Corner and very much a great addition. It's primarily pick up/take out, as they don't have a seating area for dining in. The menu boasts amazing staples, all house made, hummus, pita, fattoush salad, spanakopita, baklava, baked goods, daily specials such as gyros and so much more. I've tried a few things over the years, but on this most recent visit enjoyed the gattoush salad, spinach pie, meat pie, cheese bread and cinnamon rolls. All stand out. Diane absolutely hooked it up throwing a few extra goodies in when I visit and making sure there were cinnamon rolls for me, upon my request. Cream cheese frosting and absolutely delicious, cinnamon goodness. The meat pie was perfectly flavored and paired with the salad perfectly. All made fresh and packed to order. The snicker doodle and chocolate chip cookies are also delightful.I honestly could eat here every day and probably would if I lived nearby. I can't wait to work my way through the whole menu and finally get my hands on a gyro from them one day.

The side of sausage was an extra $4, which in the future is probably not worth it. The side of bread was also unusually thin and hard to bite/chew - just not what I was expecting from sourdough. We were instantly greeted and everyone was very friendly. The menu is kinda intimidating with so many options and everything having unique names. The staff said they'd help us walk through it all, which was helpful. There are literally 26 different things you can add to your order. My wife ordered a bowl and I order a pita, which they call a "sandweech" for some reason. The portions were large but it somehow got pretty pricey, even though I felt their menu was very reasonable. We each added a fountain drink and then I asked for a side of garlic, assuming it would come with a bunch of pita bread to dip. They asked if we wanted chips or pita, and we said pita. We got 1 piece of pita to share and basically a tub of garlic. It was comical and disappointing. I'm not sure if this is normal or we needed to pay for more pita. We each had half of a pita to dip in a jug of garlic. Overall, the food seemed fresh and it tasted great. The dining area was very clean and the parking was simple. Our only complaint was the side not coming with more pita. After looking at the menu from our table, I realized they could have made ours both a combo, since we ordered drinks and one side, and we could get another side as well, but they never suggested that. We'd probably come back in the future but there are a ton of pita places around town, especially locally owned options.

They'd only been open for a week or two, but the service was smooth and friendly. There is some space to dine in but if you have a large group it might be best to take it to go. The menu is simple yet kind of overwhelming as many things are customizable. They have bowls, wraps, quesopitas, sides, salads, and soups. You can make any of the entrees into a combo for an additional $5, which gets you a drink and a side. I went with the fattoush salad with dark meat chicken and feta, and Nate got the "sandweech" (wrap) combo with gyro meat. It was a bit tough to order as it was really loud in there with a lot of beeping/alarms going off and a lot of people talking all at once, so be aware if you are hard of hearing because I think that would be really difficult. However, the employees were all friendly and helpful with suggestions. I was asked some questions I didn't really know the answers to like if I wanted oil on my salad (after the dressing had been added)... so I just asked what the recommendation was. The food is prepared in front of you and everything seemed fresh. I was impressed by the size of the salad - we definitely could have split it. The chicken was juicy and seasoned well, and I loved the crunchy pita. Nate's gyro sandweech was also delicious, with plenty of sauce and tender meat. But the star of the show for me was the hummus and pita. This is the best hummus I've ever had in my entire life. It was SO creamy and flavorful. I could eat the entire container by myself. The pita was crispy and perfect to dip. They have some weekly specials that I'm interested in checking out (like Tuesdays when you can get two Dearborn sandwiches for only $10). You can order online ahead of time and they have a rewards program. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and more of that hummus!

I have noticed that over the past year, this stand has changed at least once, but it's always been a Mediterranean type of casual spot where they make your food in front of you. I ordered the regular kale salad and asked to add gyro meat. When the order rang up, it came to $15 after tip! I was a little shocked but didn't say anything since I didn't know if maybe he misheard me or the prices weren't correct. Either way, it was a little shocking and I wasn't sure what to expect. I thought he'd make the salad right there, but someone in the back brought out a bag to me. It felt heavy! I opened up the container and had to laugh - it was a massive portion of gyro meat completely covering up the small salad! I did get my money's worth, but it wasn't quite what I was expecting. Either way, the salad itself was delicious. Honestly it was too much meat, even for me (a meat lover), and some of it was a bit dry. I know my coworkers enjoy the bowls at this spot (but they have also mentioned how the price can vary wildly for them) so I may try one of those next time I'm in the mood for something a little healthier.
