Back a few days later and the service was much more attentive. They also served us a warm, fresh hot bread with the garlic spread ( which was delicious). I guess overall it's a little inconsistent but the food is great.

The wait staff was absolutely great. The garlic dip was out of this world good and fresh. Very good food - we will be back again! Thank you.

Ordered online and is soo good! Probably my 3rd or 4th time ordering while in town. Food is fresh, flavorful, and is ready quickly! Would recommend to anyone, definitely a staple for me.

one of my favorite genres of food... middle eastern. I would bathe in garlic sauce if i could. overall everything was fairly good but I did take away one star because it wasn't the best i've ever had. there were definitely some things that could of been improved upon flavor and seasoning wise. the lentil soup needed lots of salt and so did the tabouli and the filling in the spinach and meat pies. the grape leaves were also very strange with an extremely mushy texture. after adding a few twists of salt to everything though the meal was pretty good. we got the sampler platter to try a little but of everything. the spinach pie had good flavor, the shawarma was moist and the fried kibbeh was good. the garlic sauce was okay but it did have some other flavor to it that i couldn't put my finger on... like i said before i would bathe in garlic sauce if i could but i've definitely had better than this one. the fries were also very good in my opinion. I say that because I am sort of odd in the way that I LOVE soft squishy fries. so if you like crispy fries these are not for you. honorable mention for the best baklava i've had in a long time. the pieces we received were so moist and drenched in honey. my mouth is salivating now thinking about it. oh and the salad dressing for the fattoush salad was also to die for. overall the food was pretty good but i'd still like to try other middle eastern places here instead.

A favorite place to visit- consistently excellent food and service even when busy. Tonight I tried the lamb vegetable soup which was delicious even though it needed a little salt, which is better than being too salty. Pita and garlic is always one of the things I look forward to the most. Ordered the shish kabob combo which comes with beef tenderloin, chicken, and kufta kabob. Each meat was perfectly grilled and tender. Comes with rice pilaf and fantastic grilled veggies. I'll have dinner for another night or two!

We went there in the middle of a snowstorm and the staff made it a great experience. They are super nice they even banded together to push someone out who was stuck. The food was great. I especially loved the meat stuffed grape leaves and the bread and garlic dip was awesome. We will definitely be back.

Wow. Come hungry and leave with leftovers! Entrees are BIG! It is enough for two meals honestly, so I would split it if you want. I went home with leftovers and I can't wait to eat it. Free naan for the table which was so delicious. It tastes authentic, feels like a family restaurant, and I would 100% come here again next time I'm craving Mediterranean / Middle Eastern food. My chicken shawarma plate came with a salad or soup - I got the salad, and barely even finish a quarter of it cause it was such a big bowl.

A local mentor of mine at Calvin University took me here and wow, it was good. The next time, I went with a take out and yes it was still amazing. I still recommend dining in, because the bread and the cinnamon butter cream they give out as a starter is just delicious And the most recent trip was before Covid, but the food was as always, really good. Went in with a half-full stomach, came out with an exploding belly, and an almost full to-go box. Portions are very large and filling. The meat kebob always has the peppery fiery smell to it which i just LOVE. Good parking right in front of the restaurant.

Good food and a great option when you can't get to Detroit for mid eastern food. Usually do a carry out.

I'm a huge snob, even when it comes to dive restaurants. I have resolved to only write positive reviews on places that I believe truly deserve the praise they have earned. This is one of those places. This joint is completely unassuming. Sparse decoration, low drop-tile ceiling, brightly lit (too bright for your usual Mediterranean joint), HDTV menus near the front register... But, does a restaurant need anything other than a great menu and delicious, freshly prepared, well-spiced fare to be an amazing experience? I answer loudly "NO!" This restaurant is wonderful. They serve some of the best Mediterranean food I've had, and I've been many places throughout the US and internationally. Finding this in my own back yard makes me so happy to live in GR. My wife and I split the spicy feta fries, which neither of us could stop shoving in our mouths. Now, a bit about me - I survived a massive heart attack five years ago. Five bypasses. Month in a coma. Six months learning to walk again. I SHOULD NOT BE EATING FRIES!! And yet... I couldn't help myself. Each bite was perfection in crispy potato form. And a heavy garlic presence. The toum is worth it. Completely worth it. Gives Sheshco a serious run for best in town. Not greasy or too "mayonnaise-y." She had the shish tawook ("chicken kabob") and I had a gyro pita. Her chicken was stunningly tender and temptingly well-seasoned. Rice was floral and delicious. Hummus, not quite garlicky enough, but smooth and refreshing. And the Nutella cheesecake was heavy and smooth and wonderful. My gyro was obviously done in-house, same as the pickled turnips ("liyft"). love pickled turnips, and I truly believe that these aren't the commercially available jarred ones. Gyro meat was well-spiced, perfectly tasty and amazingly tender. The service was warm and friendly. Wife and I will be back again...and again. We hope to see you there!! Worth a drive and some time. Bring an empty tummy and get ready to enjoy!!

Our host was super kind, helpful with the menu and had a sense of humor. Grape leaves - I believe it was cold if I remember, and it's a softer/mushy texture. The host called it "Turkish Sushi." It was good and different! Appetizers- phenomenal. Fresh, hot, flavorful. We had cheese served on a hot stone, it was beautiful. Nothing was over or under seasoned. Everything was cooked perfectly. Nice fry, nice bake, nice sizzles. Salmon was cooked just right. Calamari was fried great and had a good crunch. Feta borek reminded me of crab cheese ragoons. I love the way it's prepared though, even bites and good flaky crunch. The shell is light and wasn't greasy. Baklava was delicious. Rice pudding was delicious. Drinks were on point. 10/10 will be back again!

Zeytin serves authentic Turkish cuisine along with other middle eastern and American food. A table favourite was the Pepper Delight. Basically, chopped red and green peppers combined with walnuts and tomato. I highly recommend both the Rice pudding and the Fried calamari. Nice big plate I had almost all to myself. The service was friendly and somewhat attentive. My friend, Darius, ordered the Chicken shish kebab and the pita was dry, cold and stale. They immediately returned with fresh, hot, moist bread. The wait for the initial order and drink refills was a bit longer. The dining area is large, yet cozy. The eatery has a very embracing, warm ambiance and it's a great gluten-free zone. I tried the green omelette and added a side of the beef sausage. It also came with a piece of sourdough bread. The inside of the café is very cute and calming. The side of sausage was an extra $4, which in the future is probably not worth it. The side of bread was also unusually thin and hard to bite/chew - just not what I was expecting from sourdough.
