When we originally tried the food it was just heated up for us to sample so it wasn't as fresh, although, it was still good but the day of the wedding it was excellent. We got the roast beef, grilled chicken and crispy fried chicken with bourbon and BBQ sauce. My favorite was the crispy fried chicken. The roast beef was very tender, was a huge hit as well. We got to learn a lot about their mission, why they chose the food items for the Magical Night (HP themed) and how their chefs were involved in the whole experience. Parking was fairly simple (street parking) and it can get busy based on where it is on Cherry Street, but we didn't have any issues. The dinner party comfortably sat 16 but I think they could have sat a couple more if they really wanted to. It was a family styled table and you got to talk with people you didn't know and just have a great time. They put together such an amazing spread for the cost and know that this is a hidden gem people need to appreciate more! The typical cafe hours are limited and don't believe they're open on weekends, but I can't wait to continue to come here and try more of their menu items.

I have eaten at many food courts and I think this place is going to need to find a way to decrease the time between ordering and serving if they want to survive in this format. My other observation is that it isn't immediately clear when you walk up where you order and where you pick up. There was a bit of confusion between myself and a couple other customers whose turn it was and where we ought to be standing. A couple of simple hanging signs could easily alleviate this and create a feeling of efficiency that will help this new location do well. Please give them a chance. You won't regret the meal.

We had chipotle bacon on a stick for an appetizer along with sausage and peppers and smoked chicken wings. For dinner we had pulled pork (amaze-balls!), smoked turkey and beef brisket. For sides we had corn on the cob, mac n' cheese, cheese potatoes (with bacon, amazing!) and homemade corn bread with honey butter. I thought I was going to bust out of my dress, I ate so much food. Everyone I talked to was raving about the food and going on and on about how it was the best food they had ever eaten at a wedding. Bill had his smoker on site so that the food came out fresh and he had amazing staff who kept the pans filled and the food hot. One thing I loved about Bill's set up was that he used a lot of marble and pedestals to create a beautiful buffet. This avoided the plane-Jane hotel pan look that you get with some other catered buffets. As far as price goes, Bill's pricing is very competitive compared to some other caterers in Grand Rapids.
