I've used Martha's Catering for some smaller events and have had a good experience. Pricing is in line with other places I received quotes from, but it's still kind of pricey. I filled out the form on their website and they contacted me quickly. I was able to pick up my catering order at their facility on Michigan Street. Everything was packaged carefully and securely, which I really appreciated. They can provide sternos and pans if you need them, as well as napkins, cutlery, etc. The food was pretty good and people seemed to like it! I will definitely keep Martha's in mind for future catering needs. read more

We used Martha's for our wedding dinner, and couldn't be more happy with their service. We did not end up doing a tasting beforehand, but all of the food was amazing! Our guests were raving about it all night. I appreciate that Martha's helped us accommodate a few vegan guests too, and had several great options other than a boring pasta dish. Definitely recommend! read more

Highly recommend working with Martha's Catering for bartending services! We were blown away by the service provided, and costing options. When it came to food, we were a bit disappointed that what we were given on our wedding day for our chicken dish was quite a bit different than what we tried and chose during our tasting. The stationary cocktail hour bites were AMAZING though, and more beautifully served that I thought they would be. Overall, communication was a very large struggle with Martha's. Getting answers to questions and providing final guest counts, etc. was more stressful than it should've been as it we got closer to the wedding. I'd like to think it isn't a larger company problem, and perhaps who we were in touch with in particular or maybe just the busy year 2022 was. Regardless, we're still happy we went with Martha's. read more

This was recently catered at my job and it was terrible. The only saving grace was the steak and chicken. They served a taco bar and let us eat uncooked corn tortillas. Halfway through the line the beans were gone, by the end of the line a lot of people didn't get to eat. They gave us a pinch of uncut cilantro for a table of 10. Look within your community and find a small business to give your money too that will take pride in what they are serving. read more

Could not recommend Martha's Catering enough! They blew us away at our wedding. We got SO many compliments on the dinner and service provided by Martha's team. O'Malley was so easy to work with from the beginning and answered all my questions and then some. Thank you Martha's & team! read more

We ordered your Thanksgiving Dinner and really enjoyed it, the Turkey was moist and cooked to PERFECTION! The candied yams and mashed potatoes were a fan favorite! The cranberry sauce was to die for! Over all a 5/5 experience. read more

We asked Martha's to cater my wife's 40th Birthday at the Plaza towers downtown. My wife is normally the party planner so it was my first time ever calling a caterer. They made it easy for me and the party was a big success! I want to take all the credit but it was largely because of the service and quality Martha's provided. Nearly everyone commented on how good the food was and how professional the staff was. The team was very helpful in prepping for the party, offering to help move tables, setup décor, table clothes - you name it. I really appreciated their attention to detail and how friendly and polite they were to our guests. It goes without saying I would recommend Martha's Vineyard to anyone in the area looking to host an event. I only wish I would have eaten more of the food. The prime rib was on point! read more

Amazing! We were in a tailspin due to Covid and Martha's Catering calmed the storm. We contacted Martha's after changing dates for a wedding. We had to hold it outdoors so there were concerns. We met with Tom Rooney and he worked miracles. The bride and groom live out of state. Tom was able to provide a vision for them from a cocktail hour through dessert. He also was able to schedule a tasting for the couple two weeks before the event. They were able to sample the appetizers and dinner options. He followed up with all of their feedback. Tom even made a site visit to help avoid any unforeseen problems. The food was served hot and was delicious. They turned our backyard into what seemed like a five-star restaurant. The servers were professional and friendly. They treated our guests like VIPs. I highly recommend Martha's Catering. We will certainly use them again. read more

Martha's catered my wedding a few weekends ago and they did a fantastic job. Many of our guests commented on how good the food was and inquired where it was from. We did the family style option, which Martha's does not charge extra for (some places do), and everything went very smoothly. The food and service really was fantastic! I highly recommend them for any event, especially the acorn squash ravioli and the beef tips with mushrooms. read more

I have worked with Martha's catering for both personal and professional events. They are meticulous in their attention to detail, and the food and service provided were excellent. We have booked them for our nonprofit gala, and I am so looking forward to having them cater this large event. Sarah in the catering office is wonderful to work with; she responds quickly to any questions and works hard to ensure all needs are met. read more

We have been the victims of two asian buffets lunches served by Martha's catering. Truly bad. Your average speed-eating buffet would be better. Frozen vegetable-studded rice, not steamed, not fried, but painted yellow (it sure isn't saffron), and the chicken stir-fry - completely inedible. Even by midwestern standards this is awful. It tastes like someone used pumpkin pie spice in it. The vegetables are either under- or over-cooked. Please stop bringing food here! It just gets thrown away! read more

We had lunch drop from Marthas catering. We loved the chef who dropped off our lunches. He was very helpful and friendly. The lunch box was amazing which featured Nantucket breads(GR's Best Bakery) and Nantucket cookies. The icing on the cake was that we could work and eat through our meeting. Marthas catering even added a lifesaver mint to the lunch box. Thanks you Marthas catering. read more

We hired Martha's Catering for our wedding on September 26th, 2015 and were very pleased with them. Our guests loved the food and the staff was very easy to work with. Honestly, the tasting room really left us with huge concerns about the big day since it was located in a warehouse and our food didn't turn out very well. However, the day of, the food was AMAZING and we were so happy we chose them to do the catering. I would recommend Martha's to anyone looking to impress their guests with wedding food that is not bla! read more

We used Martha's Catering for our wedding and could not be happier with their food and service. Their tasting was our first tasting experience and far exceeded our experience with another caterer. Their communication was timely which we appreciated when trying to plan such a big event. We thought the food was wonderful and our guests all seemed to think so as well. I love supporting a local business and could not have been more pleased with our experience with Martha's Catering. read more

I hired Martha's Catering for my wedding reception, and they did a phenomenal job! From the food & presentation, to the wonderful service.. I could not have asked for anything more. The event coordinators who helped plan our day were SO helpful, and always responded to my emails and phone calls in a timely matter. Thank you, Martha's for making a great day, even better! read more

We signed a contract w/Martha's about 10 months prior to our wedding. We had a few small issues with them throughout the planning process. Basically just some minor requests that were responded with a simple no. Not a huge deal, but they were never willing to make any compromise so we just continued forward. As our big day was approaching, we asked for 2 vegan plates due to 2 guests who are vegan by medical necessity. We told them we would pay whatever the cost but they refused to work with us. After talking to the manager, Kenna, things only got worse. She berated me, minimized the amount of money we were spending and asked why I chose Martha's in the first place. I then wondered the same thing. After our conversation, I asked to speak w/the owner, several times. I never did receive a call from the owner but did receive an email from Kenna 82 days before my wedding stating that they were cancelling my contract. I had to scramble to find a new caterer less than 90 days before my big day. read more
