Got the Ozzy's Shish Kabob Combo for 2 to feed 3 people for dinner. Good portion of food, but lacking in the rice department. All the meat on the skewers - the steak, chicken, and shish - were *extremely* dry that it was just hard to get through. Disappointing because this is the main dish and it was a decent portion of food for the price. The fattoush salad was puckeringly sour and overdressed, but honestly helped with getting through the dry meat. Went here while passing through the area. The food was fresh and good portions. I have eaten a lot in Dearborn so this fits right in. My only disappointment was no hot fresh bread. Prices were high compared to what I'm used to but since they are only place in town I see (like this) I think it is worth it. Fatoosh was on point as well as Swarma. Incredibly nice staff. We had unknowingly come in 10 minutes before the buffet closed and they offered to keep it open another 30 minutes. Even taking the time to refill some of the food that was running low so we could have options to eat. I had the spicy chicken shawarma and it was fantastic! The portions were really big and I couldn't eat it all, the vegetarian with me had the spinach pie (which she loved) and we both had fries and let me tell you THE FRIES ARE GOOD! The service could use a little polish but was okay and the music fit the meal too. The only things I saw for improvement were, they needed to replace the carpet in the dining room and do something with the big front window to cozy in up a bit but all in all it was a good experience. read more

Prob a 2.5. This place needs a serious cleaning. I was actually recommended this place by an acquaintance from the gym. The place was somewhat busy. Our server was young and inexperienced. Food took awhile. The fatoosh salad was mediocre. Grape leaves were ok. The meat items were Pretty good. Rice was odd but ok. Everything was just ok. My wife's radish garnish was rotten. We found out about this place because a colleague of my husband suggested it. We ordered the Meat Sampler for Two because we wanted to try a little bit of everything, and we were very hungry. We placed an order for pick-up and 20 minutes later we were driving back home to explore the heavy bag we received full of food. The portions on the order are no joke, we received so much food. We started to eat, and it did not disappoint. Everything was still hot and very tasty. We ordered extra meat kabobs to try besides the chicken and they were all very good and tasty. The spices were perfect. The falafels were amazing as well as the grape leaves. I love their hummus; it is very creamy and tasty. If you want Mediterranean food that is both well prepared and the portions are almost TOO much, you found a home. When we moved here right before the pandemic started, like everyone else, we panicked trying to find something unlike the normal take out we have all grown accustomed to. Ozzy's not only makes the best shawarma in the area, but their hummus is second to none. The rice pilaf is cooked perfectly and if I had one thing to change it would be that I think next time we will order an extra side of pita bc of the amount of good food. Two adults ate for three full meals off of one "Shawarma Family Combo" for $13.99. I even made my own salad a couple of days later with more of the stuff we had left. All of this would have been enough for 5 stars but the people who either own (or just work there, not sure) are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. We were relatively new to the type of food at first and had questions that I'm sure plenty of places would have turned their noses up at us for being the typical stupid americans lol. We are moving soon about 20 min away but will be visiting here for a long time to come. read more

I can't believe the reviews of this place being good. Specially, in Okemos, where they have so many different cultural restaurants. the chicken Shawarma had absolutely no flavor and was dry. The chicken kebab was better, and hit the tiniest little bit of pepper, but just ok. Shawarma I could hardly eat it. The rice was good. The salad had some kind of shredded feta instead of the chunks which I'm not a fan of. this place does not have homemade bread. It's is simply cut up store, brought pita and put it in the bag.
