After pouring over the options for some time, I settled on the meat lovers scramble with over easy eggs on top and marbled rye toast. My food was seasoned well and very tasty. Our server was friendly and attentive, my coffee was never empty! If we are ever passing through again I would stop to try some of the other selections as well.

We also asked for hot lattes but they were lukewarm at best. I'm still curious about their chai so we might return but will pass on the espresso drinks for now. If we try them again, I would try another flavor and would also select the iced option.

This Anna's House location is terrible. Horribly slow service, completely unaware staff, and an unorganized and mismanaged kitchen. I informed the staff of a serious allergy (celiac disease) and they served me a plate of regular bread. I double checked with the server before eating and she assured me it was gluten free. It was not. I have been sick for two weeks now. This is the worst contamination I have ever had thanks to this dump of a restaurant serving me straight up bread after promising to make gluten free food free from cross contamination. Let me start by saying I used to love this place. I have had so many great experiences at the multiple locations in Grand Rapids. I have celiac disease so I used to love coming here because of all their gluten free options and safety precautions. But last week I came here for breakfast and informed our server that I have celiac disease, an autoimmune disease that's basically a gluten allergy. She confirmed that she entered in my order with gluten free white bread and left a note to the kitchen to keep my food separate. Usually when I eat here, my food will come out with a pick that indicated the plate is gluten free. At other locations, my food will come out separate and the staff will confirm that the food was made safely. That doesn't happen at this location, but I assumed that the same awareness would carry over at this location. Our food took an hour. We were missing items from our meals. And my gluten free white bread looked suspiciously normal. Before eating, I double checked with our server that I have a serious allergy and that the bread on my plate was gluten free. She assured me that it was. So I ate it. This place advertises themselves as safe for people with allergies and dietary restrictions. They advertise their safety precautions and awareness of celiac disease and cross contamination. And my server just confirmed that my plate would be gluten free. Two hours later I am throwing up the entire meal. I have been recovering from this for two weeks now. This is the worst contamination I have ever experienced while eating out. A cross contamination mistake is one thing, but to fully serve me two pieces of bread after I inform you of a serious allergy is completely unacceptable. I understand the risk I take when I eat out, and I understand that some restaurants simply cannot guarantee safe food for me. So when I eat there anyway and get sick, I understand that it was a result of my choices and I understand the risk I took. However, the way this Anna's House is run, they are clearly not capable of providing safe food for people with allergies. So to claim to be able to consistently and confidently prepare allergy safe food is deceptive and dangerous. If you have an allergy or dietary restriction of any kind, avoid this place at all costs. Celiacs stay away!!! And unfortunately after reading other celiacs' reviews, this seems to be a pattern of poor management, disorganization, and negligence at this place. I am not the only person who has gotten sick after eating here. I'm surprised they haven't sent anyone into anaphylaxis yet. This place freaking sucks. I hope for anyone else who eats here to have a better experience. But mostly I want the management to do better and commit to keeping their customers safe like they claim to do. Screw you Anna. read more

I'm going to start off the review by saying yes, the prices are a bit high. But the food, is so good! There is something here for everyone. Vegetarian, Vegan or not, you will find something good to eat! We frequent here often for the food, but also for their service. The servers and staff here are awesome! They know us by first name and they will take good care of you! I love the diner feel and ambiance it gives off here! I also have been told if you have old eclectic coffee mugs that you can donate them there for a free cup of coffee! The breakfast tots are good and so is the Monkey Bread! I also recommend the breakfast burrito which in all honesty can be two meals for how filling it is! Definitely can become your favorite spot! My only important piece of advice is check wait times before going and if you can join the waitlist online, DO IT! read more

Please explain the business logic to me? You make your customers physically come into the restaurant to place an order, instead of online or over the phone?!? Has a FB page but doesn't allow reviews or comments. I can see why. WHAT YEAR IS IT AGAIN?! Have you considered that you'd have less bodies in a small space during a pandemic, standing around angry if they didn't have to place their order in person and then wait an hour for their food? 0/10 I hope others follow my lead by taking their money elsewhere. We had a great experience at Anna's House. The burger was juicy and flavorful, topped perfectly with melted cheese, fresh lettuce, and crisp onions. I was under a very short time frame this morning as another caterer canceled my breakfast order for 50 people! I was in a panic and called Anna's House. The staff and manager were more than accommodating and very compassionate. They whipped up breakfast for such a large group in about 45 minutes with extreme short notice!! I ordered the Candied Pecan and Banana French Toast and it was incredible! It's made on ciabatta bread and comes with a side. The service was quick and friendly. Luckily, I got there at 745am so there wasn't a wait. I took a seat at their bar and was in and out in 30-40 minutes. The servers were great. We go to Anna's house two to three times a week, every week and are so glad we do! We alternate between the traditional eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast and the waffle smothered with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Both are cooked to perfection and taste delicious. The staff pour our glasses of iced tea when they see us exit the car and greet us like old friends. We are so glad that they opened in Okemos! read more

I've been to other locations so when I saw an Anna's House opening so close to me I was so excited. You get quality breakfast food, a tier well above the rest. Best breakfast I've had! I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes expecting that they would be small. When my plate arrived the pancakes were as large as the plate and the fluffiest I've had the delight to eat.
