I asked only for a replacement piece of toast, but our server brought an entire basket of focaccia instead. Since we hadn't ordered it, we assumed it was a courtesy replacement. We were surprised to find an $8 charge for the bread on our bill. This was at least our third disappointing experience. Toscana has a lovely atmosphere and wonderful live music, but the food quality and service have consistently fallen short. To make the meal even better, try the Brussels with Pork Belly as a side to share. I could do without the pork belly, but the dish still worked really well. For a drink, the Nightcap was delicious and hit the spot. At first I was unsure, since the restaurant is small and the table next to us had a group of very loud business men, which made it hard to talk. That is the only reason I gave 4 stars for atmosphere. Thankfully they left early in our dinner, and the rest of the experience was wonderful. The service was excellent. We were told the steaks might take some time since they are large, but it did not feel like a long wait at all. I will definitely be coming back when I am craving steak. Come hungry because the portions are big. Highly recommended.
