Summerlands is an expansive spot offering both indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of parking. The ambiance and service were friendly and chill. We arrived right after the brunch rush which seemed like a more laid back time. The decor is fun and hosting large gatherings would be easy to do here, perhaps not for sports though as the TV situation would leave one disappointed. The drinks were good and our waitress seemed knowledgeable about the different brews. The food was edible but nothing special. The jerk flavor was no where to be found, the Tex-mex nachos looked promising but they too were lacking in flavor. The fries, could be cooked a bit longer. I would, however, recommend the chicken bowl.

Met up with a friend while in town. We all had not been here so this was a new to everyone. My husband and I had already had dinner so we did not try the food. Our friend had their taco special and said it was delicious so it would be worth a revisit to try the food as well. I'm a dark beer girl, so I ordered their Coffee Stout and Lil' Pepe, a porter with cocoa and chili peppers. I really enjoyed the coffee stout. The porter was good but I could have used more chile nose and a hit of heat. My husband had the Kolsch and liked it. The beer was crisp, clean and to style. The service was great! We were welcomed in and our questions about their various brews were answered. There is a decent sized parking lot and they have an inviting patio set up. Had it been warmer, we would have sat out there. Overall, a good stop!

After the business owner reached out asking me to give his brewery another try, I did. Figured it was the right and fair thing to do since my first and only visit was when they first opened. This time, I brought a friend who has never been there and left my opinions from my initial visit to myself; I wanted to get his thoughts without my influence. With that being said, this updated review is based on a combination of his and my experience: The bartender was very friendly and attentive. Not trying to take away from his customer service abilities but it probably helped that there was only one other person at the other end of the bar... who may have been napping. Regardless, he greeted us with a smile and didn't take long to make sure we were served. An improvement! We both ordered the same taco dinner meal and were served slightly above warm food at best. The "corn tortillas" were actually cheap hard shell tacos shells which was not expected. My friend had to force down some guacamole because he said he got a big bite of "bad guac", beans and rice were a combination of over seasoned and over salted while the tacos were bland. It was a really strange combination of cheap, over seasoned, under flavored, and barely warm. I only drank one beer while I was there, which was the "All rye'led up porter" and I gave that a 2.5 out of 5. Interesting flavor where the porter notes kicked in at the end. Didn't hate it, didn't love it either. I can see why other people could really like it though. As you can see from my previous reviews, I really do not seek out writing negative reviews, nor do I take any pleasure in it. I truly went with an optimistic attitude in hoping that my previous experience were just new business woes. In the end, I asked my friend what he thought and he said, "It was a really strange setting... I probably won't go back." I appreciate the owner reaching out and offering to make things right and inviting me to give them another try. More than most would do.

We felt like we were in o.n East Lansing's best kept secret. The dining area is so cozy and fun. 5 stars on the vibe! We came on trivia night but had no problem finding seats at the bar. Our bartender, Stevie, was welcoming, knowledgeable and attentive. We ordered the special -- 2 beers, pretzel and a pizza for $30. The beer cheese and pretzel were delicious! The beers were delicious -- my husband loved the hazy and I loved the Red Ale. We will definitely be back and look forward to trying the burgers and craft cocktails! There's so much for everyone on the menu. Highly recommend!

I am a dark beer person, so that is what I look for when ordering. They had a Tiramisu Stout and I chose that. Tiramisu, I'm thinking pastry, espresso along with the maltiness of a stout but I did not get that. There was no coffee and it had a bitter finish that lingered. The beertender was willing to swap me out for their Amber. It was a better choice and to style. The space itself was nice, plenty of seating and a good view of the brew equipment.

Dined there for dinner on 6/9. Ordered an olive burger (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE olives!). Flavor was good…read more The problem was WAY too much sauce (mayo, anything else?) mixed with the olives. Couldn't finish the sandwich because by the time I got to 1/3 left it was a sopping ball of goo. I probably should have scooped at least half of it off before I attempted to eat it. I Left it in the basket with a few onion rings (which were very good!) Too wet to finish. I recommend WAY less mayo to the establishment. I swear they applied at least 1/4 cup of mayo in the sauce for my (single) burger. Flavor was very good, but the sauce volume prevented me from finishing it. Regarding service: It was awesome. Bartender was knowledgeable and attentive. She knew what she was doing. I recommend sticking to beer if you are drinking. I ordered gin and tonics and got their own gin ("Hard Nose Gin"). It did not appear to resemble a traditional gin, but the description describes it as "juniper-forward". It was alright, but not my choice. I stopped by the night before and had a couple of pints of the Blood Orange Blonde, which was EXTREMELY good. I have never tried any of their other beers, but, given my experience, there appears to be a lot of promise there. Overall, a very good experience. I recommend. I still think they need to cut down the sauce on their olive burger - by a lot. But the flavor was very good. And the burger was cooked to my liking. I will definitely visit again. I just looked on their website. It is even smaller than the last time I was there. Since I am a light eater and traveling, I was stuck with 2 small salads or sides to choose from. I got a small Cesar and side of beer battered onion rings. Both were average at best. Waitress was AWOL most of the time. Music was loud so table conversations was a little hard. I suggested another place closer to the hotel with much better reviews for next year dinner before our meeting so I don't have to come back here. Many in our group agreed.

Instead of red sauce it was sauced with their house dill dip, the cheese was dill Havarti and it was topped with thinly sliced dill pickles and red onion. What a treat! My husband tried their IPA and found it to be enjoyable and refreshing. The building is historic and had a Euro-pub-like charm. I would go back again, especially for that dill pickle pizza!

There are little signs on the tables that instruct you how to order. A tad impersonal but some folx like that sort of thing and quite honestly, it worked for us too that day. We opted for Bourbon Sunrises, vodka sodas, and fried pickles with a side of spicy feta dip. The Bourbon Sunrise was a perfect summer afternoon option well balanced and delish! The fried pickles were good also BUT the spicy feta dip was beyond amazing! Fresh, tangy and spicy! We had some leftover to take home and it was great with pita chips too! The team member that brought our items to the table was pleasant and welcoming. She even brought us extra dips to try with the pickles. There is both indoor and outdoor seating along with a bar. Chill vibes and plenty of street parking, can't go wrong stopping in! When in Reo Town we will always make it a point to stop in at Sleepwalker!
