two glasses of beer and a bag of pretzels - The image shows two glasses on a wooden table: one filled with dark beer and the other with clear water. Next to the glasses is a bag of pretzels labeled 'Savory Italian' with branding indicating it is the official pretzel of beer. The background includes a brick wall and part of a restaurant interior, with a tablet device visible on the left side.

A nice stop in the grand ledge area. My husband and I were on the beer trail, so we opted for that- but they're cocktail list looked good. Not a huge kitchen, but there are food options available if you're hungry. Or you can just snag a bag of pretzels like we did!

Wow!! We loved it here!! We decided to take a day trip to Lansing and grab some tagabrews. Our plan was to come and check it out. Have a drink, grab a tag, and move on. Buuuuttt... We walked in to a full house. And found out it's TRIVIA NIGHT!!! We love trivia and have been partners for the past 10 years. Well they had already started so we knew we couldn't actually play. That's ok though. We started helping two guys next to us and then basically became a part of their team. We had an absolute blast!!!we never moved on from that spot and stayed all night theree. They had great beers and some really amazing cocktails. I may have over indulged a bit lol. They had these great tagabrews. Omg I loved them. The atmosphere was perfect. The bartenders super fun and friendly. The crowd was full of energy and really some genuinely fun people there. I would happily go back!! We loved it!!!

Exterior - The image shows the exterior of a brick building with several vertical climbing plants growing along its wall. The plants are green and lush, with some showing signs of browning. Small yellow flowers are blooming at the base of the plants. The building has a few windows, and the scene is set under a clear blue sky with a few clouds. A sidewalk runs alongside the building, and a street with some distant houses and trees is visible.

Stopped by as part of a road trip to take a break from driving. Not very impressed with the interior design and atmosphere. Staff bartender wasn't very engaging as I asked if their wines, ciders, and spirits were all brewed / bottled locally and they just responded yes. Most bars and tasting locations would be more engaging with the history and details. Cider was good. No food menu (or at least not offered to us). Pass.

Three women stand side by side in front of a large beach-themed backdrop featuring ocean waves, rocks, and distant islands. They are holding drinks: one with a mug, another with a cocktail, and the third with a glass of wine. The women are smiling and appear to be enjoying a social gathering. A large green plant is partially visible on the left side of the image, and the setting suggests an indoor venue with a casual atmosphere.

Such a great environment with everything from beer, cider, cocktails and food truck! Seating from bar, table or couches making it great for a simple trip or big groups! So much entertainment with back drops and art to look at!

Good beer great vibe. The atmosphere is honey and friendly. Would be 5 Stars if the food was inhouse not a truck outside.

Their tasting room. They have these comfy couches for lounging, and also larger tables if that's what you'd prefer

This awesome little distillery is in a converted church. I guess that's where they get the name! It's a favorite spot of my sister's so we stopped in during their open hours. You can try anything you'd like, all their liquors are made in house and there are plans to expand to beer and wine eventually. On certain days (mostly Saturdays I believe), they have a food truck parked outside for purchase, which goes nicely with their drinks. Their spirits are carefully made in very small batches. I highly recommend giving them a shot, they're just a super cute little distillery on Saginaw Highway in Grand Ledge, a very small town on the outskirts of Lansing. I sampled pretty much everything they had and landed on a vodka tonic as the drink I bought. I was excited because they have the same ice machine I have, which makes little bullet shaped ice cubes! The owner/manager gave me a tour of the facility and showed me how everything was made. It was a short tour, just the one room with the one working machine. That's how small batch these liquors are. So very cool.

Made my first trip to Sanctuary Spirits for a work social event and had a great time playing trivia! Starting at 6:30pm every Monday, the bar has a team trivia game that is free of charge and offers gift certificates for the top three teams. The trivia games lasted about two hours and went at just the right pace. I tried two of their beers (the Raspberry Saison and the brown) and both were great. I also loved that they had a taco food truck in the parking lot and that you could bring your food into the bar to eat. I'll save my review of the food truck for another post, but all-in-all, the experience was nice and we will definitely be back!

Great beer and fair prices. My wife likes the orange cream drink made with vodka that they distill themselves.

The countless times I have entered and felt the entire mood of the place and then suffered through it. I am not an old codger, dear reader. I am fairly optimistic, yet the most expensive issues for dining out are costly. For my time, my wallet and value. With that, I am pleased to offer "Cooperhawk Winery and Restaurant." It is beautiful. Inside and out. It is for the connoisseur and the starter. It is priced right and there is something for everyone. Ordinarily, I would dismiss this type of venue. But it was the occasion of our anniversary and my wife is a wine girl. So I did it. And when we walked in,,, it was stunning. The first thing you will see is the grand wine wall with a long bar in front of it. This is where you can choose wine tastings and flights. Get a little something before dinner. They asked me if I was a card holding member. I laughed and said oh no. By the end of the day, I was. And am glad for it. The staff treats you like you are welcomed guests. Kind. Intuitive... and helpful. They are educated and know their stuff. The wine tasting was outstanding with the Sommelier addressing every facet of the drinks we were trying. And it was delicious. We were called for dinner and sat in the main dining room. Beautiful. Warm. Clean. Immediately, our server showed and wished us a happy anniversary and brought us complimentary champagne. (When you reserve your seats, it asks about special occasions). A bonus. We had a warm soft pretzel loaf with butter as we waited. My wife ordered a filet mignon platter which she defined as excellent. I had a chicken dish with outstanding potatoes and fresh green beans. More wine please. We imbibed. While we were full from the main course they still brought out some truffles to seal the deal. We decided to join the club and got a membership. 2 bottles of exclusive wine a month for $50. A fair value as with it comes wine tastings, complimentary glasses of wine when visiting and several offers a month. We have been back several times, and each is better than the last. I encourage you to come a half hour early to enjoy the spirits and relax before your meal. 10 out of 10.

Our appetizers were each excellent. Our group ordered the Brussels sprouts and white fish dip. Would order those again. For entres, we enjoyed the burgers, filet mignon, chicken bowl, and crab caps. From beginning to end, on a busy evening, the team performed exceptionally. Well done EnVie team. We will certainly be back.

The restaurant is quaint but with sufficient seating to accommodate both small and medium sized groups. There is ample parking as it is located in a downtown district. The decor is simple modern, nice clean lines every where you look. Our waitress, along with those assisting her with food and drink were abundantly pleasant and welcoming. At one point the waitress prepared to offer me and my dining companions the drink specials and I jokingly asked her if she would "freestyle them" while I beatboxed. She admitted she was horrible but was down to try! We were both horrible but the exchange was fantastic and very personable! We appreciated her and her service throughout our evening. All of the cocktails we selected were well made with high quality liquors, no complaints there! The food. The food, the food was superb! We all enjoy the presentation of our dishes, beautiful and simple! Everything tasted well balanced and flavorful served in perfect portions. Our only complaint here was the pasta in the Cacio e Pepe. It was a little heavy and thick in texture but the flavors and the lump crab made up for it! The gluten free cake was shared by the table and enough for all to feel just the tiniest bit gluttonous! I look forward to returning to Envie to check out more of their menu and perhaps be able to have the same waitress.

Our server, Tanner, was genuinely kind and welcoming, which made a big difference. The table was set nicely when we arrived -- wine glass and water glass, silverware wrapped with cloth napkins on a side plate, and a candle lit off to the side. It felt thoughtful and perfect for a date night. We split the French Onion Soup to start, and it was delicious. Maybe a little pricey at $12, but it came with lots of cheese and bread (plus bread on the side), so it felt worth it as a starter. My boyfriend ordered a Long Island Iced Tea -- strong, but no complaints there -- and I got cranberry juice. Both drinks came out in the same glassware as the water, styled like cocktails, which I actually appreciated. No weird "different treatment" if you're not drinking alcohol, which is always a plus to me. We also did the Build-Your-Own Board, which was really fun, and Tanner was super helpful in guiding us through the choices. We picked Summer Sausage, Garlic & Herb Soft Cheese, Smoked Gouda, Fire Roasted Tomatoes, and Balsamic Onion Jam. The Fire Roasted Tomatoes were SO GOOD, and I usually don't even like tomatoes. They were soaking in olive oil (I think?), which had great flavor and paired perfectly with the bread and Garlic & Herb Cheese. I also really enjoyed the Balsamic Onion Jam, savory, slightly sweet, and a little goes a long way. Overall, everything tasted great. I was a little disappointed in the portion of Smoked Gouda compared to the soft cheese, especially considering some soft cheeses can retail around $30 per pound. If you're looking for the best value, you might consider a different cheese option. That said, extra bread was only $1, which felt like a great deal for the amount we received. We were honestly getting pretty full and almost couldn't finish it all. We were seated in the cellar area, which was okay, just a little small, and the music was pretty loud. Not ideal for a Valentine's date when you're trying to have a conversation. Random but important: the bathrooms were spectacular. Individual, spacious, very clean, nice sink setup, pump soap, automatic paper towel dispenser, and even a candle lit. Honestly, 10/10 bathroom experience. Overall, it's a really solid date night spot with great service and good food. Just a couple small tweaks (music volume and cheese portions!) would make it even better. We'd definitely come back.
