Always been a customer of their fine beers. Our office tried the new food menu today and it was terrific! I had the BBQ pork nachos. Coworkers had chicken wings, wraps, and tater tots. Wow!! We loved it here!! We decided to take a day trip to Lansing and grab some tagabrews. Our plan was to come and check it out. Have a drink, grab a tag, and move on. Buuuuttt... We walked in to a full house. And found out it's TRIVIA NIGHT!!! We love trivia and have been partners for the past 10 years. Well they had already started so we knew we couldn't actually play. That's ok though. We started helping two guys next to us and then basically became a part of their team. We had an absolute blast!!!we never moved on from that spot and stayed all night theree. They had great beers and some really amazing cocktails. I may have over indulged a bit lol. They had these great tagabrews. Omg I loved them. The atmosphere was perfect. The bartenders super fun and friendly. The crowd was full of energy and really some genuinely fun people there. I would happily go back!! We loved it!!! read more

Stopped by as part of a road trip to take a break from driving. Not very impressed with the interior design and atmosphere. Staff bartender wasn't very engaging as I asked if their wines, ciders, and spirits were all brewed / bottled locally and they just responded yes. Most bars and tasting locations would be more engaging with the history and details. Cider was good. No food menu (or at least not offered to us). Pass. read more

I wish this place had a decent cocktail list or some more wine options. They are heavy on the beer option and that's about it. The food track out back is good and the outdoor seating is nice. The ambiance inside is disappointing unfortunately. If some money and design were invested in the place this could really be the spot in grand ledge . No effort was made and with the name and the fact that this was an old church, there is so much potential to make this into a cool location that draws bigger crowds. read more

I go for Trivia Night. Their wines and spirits are expertly crafted, and they even make a plum wine from fruit picked from a tree out back. Reasonable prices. And they welcome customers who bring in food from the equally wonderful Mexican truck in the parking lot. read more

This awesome little distillery is in a converted church. I guess that's where they get the name! It's a favorite spot of my sister's so we stopped in during their open hours. You can try anything you'd like, all their liquors are made in house and there are plans to expand to beer and wine eventually. On certain days (mostly Saturdays I believe), they have a food truck parked outside for purchase, which goes nicely with their drinks. Their spirits are carefully made in very small batches. I highly recommend giving them a shot, they're just a super cute little distillery on Saginaw Highway in Grand Ledge, a very small town on the outskirts of Lansing. I sampled pretty much everything they had and landed on a vodka tonic as the drink I bought. I was excited because they have the same ice machine I have, which makes little bullet shaped ice cubes! The owner/manager gave me a tour of the facility and showed me how everything was made. It was a short tour, just the one room with the one working machine. That's how small batch these liquors are. Made my first trip to Sanctuary Spirits for a work social event and had a great time playing trivia! Starting at 6:30pm every Monday, the bar has a team trivia game that is free of charge and offers gift certificates for the top three teams. The trivia games lasted about two hours and went at just the right pace. I tried two of their beers (the Raspberry Saison and the brown) and both were great. I also loved that they had a taco food truck in the parking lot and that you could bring your food into the bar to eat. I'll save my review of the food truck for another post, but all-in-all, the experience was nice and we will definitely be back! read more

Converted an old church into a brewery/distillery pretty interesting use of space. Some nice leather sofas to sit on and also plenty of regular table seating through out the brewery. A lot to offer they have beer, cider, wine and cocktails so there is a little bit of everything for everyone. Beer was pretty middle of the road, nothing overly amazing but it wasnt bad, same goes for the cider, decent, not bad, not amazing. They only had about 6 beers and 4 ciders on tab so we tried what we could. Worth a peak if you are in the area and glad i got to see it, wouldnt make a special trip just to come here but not bad. read more

Finally checked out this brewery, didnt even know it existed for the longest time. The beer was ok and the service was fine. They don't serve food but have a truck out front. Not the typical craft brewery vibe. Pretty bland place. read more

We stopped in 10 beers on tap, in addition to ciders and spirits. I tried the beer and cider I found the beer to be above average and the mixed berry cider, pineapple cider fantastic. I was in town for a few nights and checked out the brewery. I had the rye whiskey and the bourbon. Both were amazingly smooth and taste great. I bought a bottle of the bourbon. Staff was friendly and the facility was clean. Side note, the taco truck the is stationed in the driveway served one of the better burritos I've had in a long time at a decent price. $10 for burrito, rice and beans. read more

Sancturary Spirits is micro brewery that has a relaxed vibe, and a nice and open feel inside. -Great place for a business meeting, clubs, a 5 o'clock drink after work.
