We visited again on this last trip to Kalamazoo. I do still wish there were more gin and vodka options. I feel like they all were kind of similar? I wish that the lime and orange came through more, they both leaned very heavy on the bitter end which I wasn't expecting for both (one, sure, but not the other) I hope I find some brighter, citrus flavors on the next visit. We will always come back. It doesn't stay open super late so we gor kicked out lol but we always have a good time. read more

Such a cool place!!! A wonderful vibe for a fun time; great for drinks with friends. We tried quite a lot of their drinks and loved all of them. There are drinks for everyone's taste- flowery, bitter, sweet, strong. My favorites were the Rosolio Sour & the Buck 75. They also had some great snack plates to go with the drinks including olives, cheese & salami plates, and kettle chips. Our server gave great suggestions and was so friendly. read more

I absolutely love the vibe this place has! No matter where you are in the space be it by the bar relaxing on big couches or outside is summer. It's so chill and relaxing. The staff is amazing and they have a passion for mixology.Its a great spot to stop for after dinner drinks and great conversations. The mix of people that come here is wonderful and because the place is set up for intimate seating and group seating there's a spot for every gathering. read more

This was the perfect night out spot before our dinner reservations. Outside seating is cute, we were happy there were umbrellas as it drizzled a little as we sipped our drinks. So happy there was a nonalcoholic cocktail on the menu! It was delicious and my husband enjoyed his flint tropics cocktail. I don't remember how I heard about the Stamped Robin but my boyfriend and I decided to stop in for a quick pre-dinner drink. We were meeting his family around the corner so didn't have much time, but weren't ready to order when the bartender first came over. The menu is nicely varied with a handful of cocktails in addition to their wine offerings. We sat around for awhile before someone came back over to get our order, which made me a little anxious as we were on a schedule. However we were able to get our check right away. Just be aware that this might be more of a hang out for awhile type of place and not a super quick pre-dinner drink place. I ordered the Fox Trot (rum, curacao, lime) and my boyfriend got a Manhattan. The Fox Trot was sour and quite strong, and the Manhattan was strong as well. Both drinks were okay, but nothing mind-blowing. I love a good cocktail but am not really a connoisseur. There were many words on the menu that I didn't recognize (strega, rabarbaro, mandorla) so I think if I went back with more time, I'd definitely ask more questions and get a recommendation. Cocktails were very reasonably priced at $9-$12. The vibe inside is really cozy, kind of like someone's living room with a couch lounge area up front and a record player. They have limited snack and food options. I think this is a fun place and definitely in a great location, tucked away right in the heart of the downtown business corridor. Love. It. Stamped Robin is the type of place you'd find in a big city & I mean that in a positive way. The ambience, menu selection & service made me feel like I was back in CHI or LA or even DET for a hot sec. Stopped by the Stamped Robin on a weekday evening for some wine and small bites with some colleagues. It was a warm evening, so we sat on the nicely decorated patio. They have 20 wines are rotation & I love that you can get 2 oz, 6 oz, or 9 oz pours. 2 oz all the way - I ended up creating my own "flight"! For food, we had basically all the menu sans the "tin" section of the menu - all pretty good: *Pistachios (roasted in-house with sea-salt) *Membrillo (Quince fruit jam, 6-month aged Manchego, Almonds) *Proscuitto & Biscuits (A match made in heaven: Prosuitto di Parma, Fourth Coast Buttermilk, Buckwheat Honey) - this one was fine. I heart SR even more now- they have been amazing through covid with wine pick up, they have supported fellow small businesses in the area and now they are taking safety very seriously and have their patio open! Wear a mask, bring a friend and sit outside. They have hand sanitizer on each table. Staff wears masks and requires guests to do the same (except when seated at your table). So happy to enjoy SR again!!! read more

I love this place so much. It is the best bar in kalamazoo and whenever i visit the area it is the number 1 place on my list. They have small snacks (marcona almonds, chips, tinned fish) but no dinner, so this is a great spot pre or post dinner or just for whenever. Nice booths with cozy lighting at each table and some cozy seating in the adjacent room with a pool table. Drinks are unique and delicious and service is always great. read more

Passing through Kalamazoo and stumbled in to this cute wine bar with my boyfriend. We each had a glass and enjoyed a relaxing couple of hours hear. I really enjoyed the overall aesthetic. It's the type of place that can easily come across as super pretentious but the staff here is super chill and welcoming. They have a clearly very thoughtfully curated wine list and I really enjoyed reading the creative descriptions. The only slight negative is that at around 9:30 or 10. They turned the music up and the noise level rose accordingly. It wasn't overwhelmingly loud or anything but it slightly detracted from the atmosphere we had been enjoying earlier. Overall though, we really enjoyed our experience at this cute, unique little wine bar. read more

Stamped Robin has been a favorite cocktail bar of mine for years. They do have delicious drinks. However this evening, my husband and I were out for our friend's birthday and we encountered the rudest bartender. My husband had 3 beers total and I had one non-alcoholic drink and he asked for one more beer and the bartender cut him off. He then asked for the bill and the bartender accused him of asking for another beer. Again, he asked for the tab and the bartender just lost it and started screaming at him. Our group had 9 people total and he put everyone's tab together and slammed it on the bar and told everyone someone had to take care of it. Others had fancy drinks that were much more expensive and we all asked for our own tabs which he refused to do. The bartender then told us to give him our cards and he would split it up evenly. Everyone was calm and asking for the lady bartender to come over and divide our checks so we could pay and leave. The bartender was still just yelling at our group. Very very uncalled for and super unprofessional. This is the first time we've been out to Kalamazoo in a year and we were very excited to hit up our favorite cocktail bar and with this experience we will never come back again. Thankfully the lady bartender divided everyone's tabs but he continued to say things even as we were walking out. I have worked in the service industry for years and I've never seen a bartender attack a customer like that. My husband was not wasted or disrespectful in anyway. He was genuinely trying to figure out why the bartender got so upset. Very strange and upsetting way to end our nice evening out. read more

We found Stamped Robin by Googling for great wine bars in Kalamazoo. We prompty came for a visit and were totally happy with the ambiance, the staff, and the very broad choice of cocktails. Not only are there lots of cocktail choices, but all the ones I tried were both delicious and really STRONG! Initially I was afraid that a five star Yelp review might make this place a little TOO popular, but I decided that were that to happen it would be richly deserved :-) read more

I don't know why I didn't give this place 5 stars in the first place. Over the past couple years this place has become my go to bar in town. They have navigated the pandemic expertly. The outdoor seating area is perfect for a night out with friends. They make cocktails to go and have a cocktail delivery service. I can't say enough good things about The Stamped Robin. read more

What is not to love about the Stamped Robin. This was my second time here and I enjoyed just as much. It is a small space which has an outdoor patio. Cozy atmosphere with comfy chairs and couches. Music is always playing, a tad too loud but still enjoyable. The cocktail list has been carefully put together with fun and creative combinations you can't get just anywhere. The wines have been hand picked by the owner. On this occasion we went with a bottle of the Rose, which was perfect to share among friends. They also offer small bits to eat but we did not try on this visit. I can't wait to visit and try one of the cocktails! read more

The Stamped Robin is an eclectic cocktail lounge that also offers some snack items. Seating is inside or outside. Take out for snacks, cocktails and full bottles of wine is available with curbside service. They offer several specialty cocktails and are happy to make your favorite old standby as well. The wine list offers affordable selections that are not the same old same old, but very delicious. We were there at 5pm on a Tuesday evening so they were not very busy. As such, it was quiet and we were able to choose the sofa by the front window. We enjoyed the Damned Nice Martini and Cameron's Kick. As we had dinner reservations nearby, we did not partake of any snacks. Can't wait to go back. read more

My favorite spot in Kalamazoo! The bartenders are very knowledgable and incredibly friendly, the drinks are perfectly crafted, and the vibes are unmatched. LOVE THIS PLACE! I haven't stumbled upon a wine bar this incredible in years. Reminds me of the spots you'd wander into in New York or Chicago - but with the Kalamazoo charm. I absolutely love the cocktails here! The staff is amazing at helping you choose the perfect cocktail, no matter what you're in the mood for. Every drink I've tried has been beautifully presented and tasty. I've had both the classics like gin & tonics and drinks from their menu. I was so excited about this option when I saw it on Instagram but there is so little mention of it in the menu (basically an, "ask us about our mini cocktail flight" at the bottom of a page) and no leaflet showing the flight details or price. I'm very much a person that likes to try a little bit for everything so once I remembered it after we left, I had a moment. I got a Gin Fizz and the bf got a Blueberry Vanilla Mule. The gin Fizz tasted very much like lemonade, even with the addition of cran flavoring. The Blueverry Vanilla Mule was very strongly clove. If you like clove, you'd likely like that one. We decided against getting second cocktails since happy hour had ended, but got a flight to try their stuff. We like the liqueurs but they are hard to sip straight due to all the flavor they pack. Our favorite was the Pink Peppercorn Gin out of everything we tried. We would definitely come back, but please print out the cocktail flight list or at least suggest it if people are hemming and hawing over what to get like I was.

There's a lot of potential here to boast old custom cocktails from scratch- with a modern twist. Third, the atmosphere. The exposed brick, dark woods, and lavish style add to the tone. Would be really great if there were candles on tables instead of incredibly bright lights drilled into the floor. I did enjoy the unique lights hanging above the bar though. Upon arrival, the venue was empty, yet we were completely denied access to bowling due to a private event, and told that no bowling customers would be allowed until 6 PM. Before anything else, I want to clarify an important point: "Free" does not mean customers should be treated poorly. Free events are often meant to introduce people to a business, attract new customers, and create a welcoming first impression. Offering something for free does not justify rude behavior, dismissive communication, or shifting responsibility onto customers. Respect and basic courtesy should apply regardless of whether an event is paid or free. What bothered me most was not being turned away, but the blame-shifting that followed. When a business publicly advertises "Free Bowling Wednesdays" and encourages people to show up at 4 PM, it is reasonable for customers to rely on that information. Adding the word "limited" on social media posts does not communicate that no bowling customers are allowed at all until 6 PM due to a private event. Those are two very different messages. Instead of acknowledging the lack of clear communication, the responsibility was shifted onto us as customers with statements like "you should have called." This is unfair. Customers should not be expected to double-check an advertised public event by phone when no such instruction was mentioned. What made the experience more disappointing was the lack of empathy no apology, no ownership of the confusion, and no attempt to acknowledge how frustrating it is to arrive on time to an empty venue and still be denied entry. This review is not about complaining. It's about accountability. Clear communication and basic courtesy go a long way, and this situation could have been handled very differently with a simple acknowledgment and apology.
