Great atmosphere and best beer around! Best brewery in the Lansing area! BRING BACK KRYPTONALE!!

We popped into this delightful place for comedy night on Halloween. The venue is cozy and bright. There are three seating areas offering quite a bit of seating. Locating parking can be a bit of a chore if the Old Town area is busy or there is construction but finding street parking isn't that difficult. The vibe was chill and welcoming. Seemed to be several regulars but we didn't feel like outcasts. The bar is self service, meaning there are no waiters. You order at the bar at take back to your table. They offer seltzers and beers, both were decent. The food truck however, was the winner for the evening! Everything we tried was full of flavor and just delicious. Once you order your food at the truck, they give you a number and bring your food to you. Simple system. After you have indulged and are ready to go, clear your table and the stations provided and go about your way. Looking forward to returning for some of their other events and food! read more

A strange experience having to order your food on your phone, and pay on it as well but the food was very good. Had the Chicago dog which would have been excellent except somebody decided to really toast the bun. Not so good. The pizza is as good as we've had since coming to Lansing. read more

So they get less starts because parking situation is a little just streets and neughborhoood. It's also a bit hard to find driving here since it's tucked away. Overall it is a very cute like corner brewery. I think I'd rank it higher if I lived closer and could just walk over for some noms and a drink. The bathrooms are gender neutral. The outdoor patio space is literally the same size as the indoor space. I do really like how the space is separated into almost 3 diff spaces. The beer, they mainly have 1 of each type of beer on tap which is the standard but o wish they had more variety especially seasonal things. read more

I sought out Ozone's to get a beer trail stamp last fall. I have been back several times since and find myself always ordering the same beverage, Totally Awesome #3. Went here last fall with my partner because we were trying to fill out our 2020 Hoppassport, and WOW this place did not disappoint! It's a tiny joint and we could tell everyone knew and was comfortable with eachother, which was nice to observe during tough times. I found the ozone area a little rough looking. Like the older part of a city. My husband was in a hurry to leave. But then we tasted the beer. Fabulous. And we R beer snobs. The food truck made a hot honey pizza that tasted like brown sugar and sweet sauce. My pizza also had jalapeno peppers on it. The pub tender was friendly and proficient. He at first seemed to have reserves concerning us as we did of the area. I am glad we ventured to the ozone pub. It should be on drives dinners and dives as it is a hidden gem. The beer is solid - we had several varieties, and all of them held up. There's no food (other than chips and ice cream), but you can bring food in from other places, which is nice. The only downside is the parking situation; they have a sign at the entrance saying that parking is across the street, but you can't see the sign until you've already parked and walked up to the door. Once you know that, though, this would be a really great place to hang out with friends. read more

We came in for a beer after having dinner at LBC. The bar was not busy at all. The bartender was friendly and the beer was pretty good. We had the Totally Awesome #3 and thought it was good. Overall, the bar was quite dark and dreary except for the cool artwork on the walls. There are custom paintings of the different beers they have had over the years and I thought that was interesting. I made small talk with the patrons and bar tenders. Everyone seemed really friendly and nice. How can you not when you are in the presence of tvs showing wheel of fortune. Everyone likes staring at spinny things and wondering what the plastic faces of game show host relics would feel like if you could touch them. Plus they got those cool lights up. They turn any establishment or backyard concrete slab into a hip hangout. I really like the warm or fall weather ambiance of this place. In the winter I suspect it will lose alittle of that luster. I'll help the bartender out here. There is NO pizza served. She was perplexed as to why people were calling up and placing pizza orders. I think that one is on us Yelp! They used to have pizza but the company moved to another brewery. I tried that pizza though and you should try and hunt it down, its good. As for the beer it was all good. I ordered about six small pours. The ipas were tasty. The best was a barrel aged quad i believe. I like going to places and seeing barrel aged beers available. The benchmark for a great brewery is having those beers i really want to take home. I did not experience that here. While everything was good nothing stuck out as great. In closing, definitely scope this place out. They have tasty beer, good times, and a great location for other restaurants and bars. I don't always drink craft beer, but when I do, I drink Ozone's. As a disclaimer, I'm more into shitty beers (PBR, Miller Lite, Schlitz, etc) so my palate isn't tuned to craft beer. That being said, I do find Ozone's beers tasty and the service is always great. Inside seats about 30 people and Detroit Frankie's has a pizza oven outside if you're hungry (I recommend you try it). read more

Very interesting place that does not look like much on the outside. But it was fantastic! Food is ordered outside at the food truck and then brought to your table. Beer is ordered at the bar inside. The pizza was incredible, some of the best I've ever had! The dough and crust is the perfect amount of soft but with a great texture. I ordered the Honey and Spice and Everything nice and the balance of flavor was perfect. The hot honey was a tad sweet but added flavor and not overpowering of the cheese, pepperoni and jalapeno. Friends ordered the meat lovers and hawaiin which were also great. read more

Don't get takeout here! They wait on in-person diners before cooking takeout food. We got told 25 minutes for pickup, but had to wait an additional 40 minutes, over an hour! Because we had to wait for any and all in person diners to get their food first. The food is cooked in the food truck, not the restaurant, and the 2 places don't communicate well. And then the food was poorly prepared. The deep fried fish was over cooked, bordering on burnt with a blackish crust. The sweet potato fries were over peppered, and inedible unless you love lots of pepper. The olive burger was ok, but I've had better. And the brussels sprouts were ok, but I like them better elsewhere. This was our first encounter here and it's going on my list of places to avoid. read more

You can park on streets. It's done all the time. Not every business needs a 2 acre dedicated parking lot. 3. How do you find the place? It's hidden on a side street? WTF? If you'd ever been to Old Town before (like those dirty hipsters you saw), then Beaver Street is pretty easy to find. If you had glaced at a map, then Beaver Street is pretty easy to find. Then there's the old standby, GPS, Beaver Street is really easy to find then. 4. You need to start drinking. Ozone's would be a good place to begin. ;-) read more

I've been there twice, and the service has been great each time. The folks working the bar are friendly. I've found the clientele to be pretty friendly too! They have a nice outdoor space and I love how open the entire place is to outside. The beer is okay. As a disclaimer- I'm pretty picky. The first time I went was about 2 months after they opened. I had a porter and my husband had some kind of cucumber beer. Neither of us finished them they were so bad. The second time was yesterday, and we both had a much better experience. I had a wheat beer and my husband had an IPA. Both were tasty! read more

Fantastic beers. Started with the double IPA "Stairway to Hops", moderate hops with a great malt backbone. The more standard IPA was good too. They had a few more adventurous recipes using sage, coffee, wheat, and spices. There were even two ciders (and semi-detached and one really good dry one). Detroit Frankie was there so we got a pizza, which was excellent. We sat around playing euchre for a while and eventually ordered a second identical pizza. We have been to Ozone many, many times and always loved their beer. We also enjoyed the oven-fired pizza when they had that. We were excited to hear that they started their own food truck. Tonight was a complete disappointment, for our first date night because of Covid. My sandwich, vegan marinara meatball sub, did not come until several minutes after our appetizer was finished and my husband was finished his entree. My Parmesan fries were just PLAIN fries ... no seasoning. When we asked, we were told that they were correct. (Picture). My marinara sub had a SCANT of marinara. Yes, it's Saturday, but it was not slammed when we ordered. We were told that my sandwich was not made vegan, though they made a special trip to get the vegan meatballs. Even the bartender, owner, said. "They completely missed it," but only refunded our 2 beers. We are SIGNIFICANTLY disappointed, and it will take some time before we give them another try. Stopped in over the summer for an after work gathering and had a nice time. Their prices were about average and their beer options were good for being a small place. They had indoor and outdoor seating, and great pizza from a local food truck outside, but I think the truck has since relocated to a different local brewery in town. Ozone popped up in my Yelp feed as a new and upcoming restaurant, curious my husband and I went. First off: Where to park? Ozone looks as if it occupies an old garage. NOTHING wrong with that, I love cool and funky, just give us a place to park. We parked on the street in front of the restaurant after driving around the restaurant twice trying to find parking that looked as if it was assigned to the establishment. We saw a group of Lansing's finest up and coming hipsters enjoy the beautiful day, conversation and whatever artisanal brew they ordered, but with no identifiable parking for Ozone, where did our young hipsters come from? Did they walk? Our car seemed to be the one associated with the place Secondly: Before leaving for Ozone I showed my husband the pictures posted, when we got there, Ozone looked nothing like what we show. It was clean, bright, but small, super tiny! Thirdly:. The woman behind the bar was friendly enough, so we sat down to eat. A point of interest; coming to the building we saw a food truck parked adjacent to Ozone's front door, which was closed, that fact comes into play here. My husband and I were looking over the menu; interesting choices. The woman from the bar come to our table to take our order and what a surprise for us that the menus for food was ONLY for the food truck, which I just told you was closed. She brightly told us we could bring in any food we wanted, I assume as long as we order a drink of some type. She was very crest fallen to understand neither my husband nor I drink alcohol; surely we can't be the only legal aged residents of Lansing who do! So why not have an artisanal soda, root beer? Conclusion: Interesting business model; the woman from the bar let us know in no uncertain terms how angry she is with the owner of the food truck. It seems he flakes out on her quite often, so why still alight yourself with him business woman/owner? Don't people who drink also want something to eat? How do you find the place? Unless you REALLY want to go to Ozone it is hidden on a side street. I wish whoever owns and operates this business well, but it just feels like they need to stop playing business owners and start thinking like business owners. Have a more reliable source for food. I think it's great you want to team up with someone, just make it the right someone. Let people know you are there. And a little ambiance would help too. Mow the lawn. Ozone's makes some excellent beers! I sampled all 12 of the beers that they had on tap, and the Kryptonale, Totally Awesome #2, and the Sage of Ale are standouts for me. I really enjoy that they brew such unique varieties. The ambiance is clean and modest, with very friendly staff and constituents. Ozone's looked like it had quite a few regulars. I'm definitely coming back to visit next time I'm back in Lansing! read more

Came here on Friday kicking off Memorial Day weekend. The wood fired pizza guys were getting ready to close but knocked two pies out for us and they were incredible! The beer varieties are excellent and Cameron was very friendly, knowledgeable, and didn't seem to mind that we closed the place down. read more
