This was the after party spot for the crowd that attended a performance at the Robin Theater. There were a variety of pizzas to try, but I zeroed in on their dill pickle pizza, Jagged Little Dill. Instead of red sauce it was sauced with their house dill dip, the cheese was dill Havarti and it was topped with thinly sliced dill pickles and red onion. What a treat! My husband tried their IPA and found it to be enjoyable and refreshing. The building is historic and had a Euro-pub-like charm. I've been to Sleepwalker or ordered carry out for their pizza, the Meathead is pretty fantastic. However, on our most recent trip we stopped in simply for bevs and a snack. There are little signs on the tables that instruct you how to order. A tad impersonal but some folx like that sort of thing and quite honestly, it worked for us too that day. We opted for Bourbon Sunrises, vodka sodas, and fried pickles with a side of spicy feta dip. The Bourbon Sunrise was a perfect summer afternoon option well balanced and delish! The fried pickles were good also BUT the spicy feta dip was beyond amazing! Fresh, tangy and spicy! We had some leftover to take home and it was great with pita chips too! The team member that brought our items to the table was pleasant and welcoming. She even brought us extra dips to try with the pickles. There is both indoor and outdoor seating along with a bar. Not worth the VERY long wait for burned, cold food. You wait to order with the bartender, and pay/tip in advance, and then wait for an hour for your meal. We tipped well and learned our lesson. This was my second visit. The first was not great. This time convinced me to not go back. read more

I know someone who is having Sleepwalker for their wedding. Since we were in the area we thought we would stop in. Staff is friendly which you me is the only saving grace. Let's just say I'm no longer looking forward to the open bar. The Pre- batched Espresso Martin was way too sweet. I thought the orange would be a nice touch and I feel it would be if the rest of the cocktail was better balanced. Absolutely no crema. Pre- batched cocktails are great for time but not as good when it comes to an Espresso Martini. The Wine is the worst I've drank. The two buck chuck at Trader Joe's is better. The beer was decent. This unique spot is located in an interesting area. There were bookstores and theatres all attached. The brewery itself was a really beautiful building. They have a mug club that they partnered with the pottery place next door. The beers were delicious and we really enjoyed ourselves. They participate in hop passport so it's a great deal. Went for dinner last night. We got a large salad and two pizzas. The pear and gorgonzola pizza was surprisingly good, and the jagged little dill pizza was great if you love pickles. I really like the crust on the pizzas, but as others have noted, they are fairly oily. In addition to the food we had a couple glasses of wine and a flight of five of their beers which were also really good. We were there for a couple hours and the place was constantly busy. Despite that, service was pretty good and everyone was friendly. The place is small so consider going when it's warm enough to sit outside as that nearly doubles the capacity. read more

This is seriously the best pizza I've had. I wish I lived closer. The cheese blend and the sauce are just killer. Still thinking about it a week later. Plus they have the old Pizza Hut red pebbled plastic cups for pop. The phone ordering is a little weird, but it saves a lot of time since there is no "wait for waiter" phase or "come back for drinks" phase. Other restaurants lose 5-10 minutes on those. REO Town is a fun place to visit, but until recently, there wasn't really anywhere to eat after Saddleback closed at (way too early) 7 pm. Now, there's The Rusty Mug and Sleepwalker. Sleepwalker distinguishes itself with its cerebral aesthetic - perfect for someone named "Brains." One wall is lined with old books about everything from eye surgery to an illustrated guide to the Catholic bible. The bathroom doors feature faux-Rorschach inkblots. And, everywhere you look, you see the meticulous attention to detail. I feel like I could visit this place a hundred times and see something different each time. By design, the menu is minimal and focused. My group ordered the breadsticks with premium cheese blend and dill dip, torta with tortilla chips, Caprese sandwich with potato chips, and the pear and gorgonzola pizza. I had a REO Town IPA with mine. The food came quickly. The portions were more than enough. The breadsticks were excellent, and I couldn't stop eating the dill dip. If I could change one thing about the breadsticks, I would add more cheese, but I'm a very fat man. The torta had a nice kick to it. My friend didn't complain about his Caprese sandwich and didn't even offer to let me try it so it must have been good. And, the pizza was star. I strongly recommend ordering the pizza if you can only order one thing. I'd also add bacon to it. The beer was good, but coming from the Pacific Northwest, I prefer my IPAs to be hoppier. But, for people who don't have my old, worn-out baseball glove palate, the REO Town IPA should suffice. Overall, I love the place. I'm hoping to become a regular. read more

I really want to try their pizza because it looked amazing. Met a buddy there and had a few seltzers, which are made on-premise and you can choose up to four flavorings. It was unique, and I enjoyed the taste, but I would have liked it served over ice, maybe in a larger glass to offset the volume. We also had an appetizer of chips/dip that was really good. Trendy and chill vibe. The beer and seltzer's were pretty good- we enjoyed being able to choose different seltzer flavors as a flight. We ordered the breadsticks and a Margherita pizza. The breadsticks were decent- but it felt like something was missing and they were very simple tasting. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile. We chose a table along the wall full of old-timey books. This place is warm and inviting, you can tell they put a lot of thought into the design of the brewery. They became busy quickly, but you wouldn't know it from the workers faces, they handled it with grace and acted very professionally. There were constant door dash employees coming to the side door to pick up pizzas and none of them had to wait to be greeted as the sleepwalker servers were continually alert. We ordered a vegan pizza and drank a couple brewskis, no complaints with either. REO town needs this place so make sure you check it out and support this local business! read more

We had such a great experience, there was a ton of outside seating on top of what was available inside! I ordered both a beer which was decent and a seltzer (I would have preferred the cider but they were out for the day). The cool thing about the cider and seltzers that I've never seen anywhere else was that you get to pick the flavor and up to 4 flavors per glass! Such a cool idea! It's a cozy vintage looking interior. Everyone was really friendly. We liked how the menus look like old books. Cute idea. The breadsticks w cheese and dill dip are wonderful! Reminds me of our old favorite Hobbit sticks in EL!! Pizza was good. We had a ham pineapple....I only wish the toppings would've been a little more cooked instead of raw on top. We would have liked hot & baked in better. We tried the seltzer's that you can get flavored in a ton of different ways. Didn't really prefer these, we found the flavors we got pretty sweet and the seltzer not too fizzy. Will try something different next time. For us the biggest drawback in coming here is that there are only 4 dining tables. Half the space is the front waiting area looking space. There's a big couch and a small counter running the perimeter facing outside w backless bar stools. You could sit there for drinks or maybe to eat but it's not a comfortable dining set up. And quite cold in the winter. Would like to see more seating vs. the big open space. Love that there are more places like this opening in REO town. Will be even better during the summer. I really like this place. The character of the old building is preserved, and the vintage antique items/appliances add to the vibe very nicely. The drinks and food have steadily gotten better with each visit. The pizza is fantastic, the charcuterie is well-balanced, I'd imagine everything else on the menu is good too.
