Hello folks- you don't get a first impression the second time and we won't be returning. We ordered ahead to have the food (two pizzas) ready for pickup when we arrived. (POURING RAIN- PARKING AT A PREMIUM and we'd been driving all day.)- The pizza musth've been sitting under a heat lamp- because it was EXTREMELY DRY when we picked it up (at the time we asked) and they FORGOT to include the cannoli - so back we trudged (IN THE POURING RAIN) to pick it up. Called the Lansing store on Michigan Avenue and placed an order a few days a head for a dozen, for pick up on Sunday the 2nd at 2PM. Toarmina's use to be our go to place for local pizza! However, their business practices have gone completely ridiculous! When you go to place an order, their menu that is posted to their website, can no longer be ordered from. They have switched to using a new app that has upped their prices significantly, doesn't have the correct descriptions, and doesn't allow their own coupons. Tonight we placed an order over the phone and the total was $15 more than the price that is listed on their website. Went to include the coupon from the website and was told we don't accept those. Then they told me the $8 salad I was trying to order only came with lettuce, tomato, and dressing. What in the world?!?!? our order was canceled immediately. We are saddened that this is the direction the restaurant is going. We will no longer be visiting. read more

I tried Toarmina's for the first time this past weekend. I have been trying to order takeout to help support the local businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic. This is my honest review: The pizza was subpar, at best. I ordered a deep dish pizza with ham, bacon, and onions. I was not a fan of the crust; it was very light and airy and I prefer my crust a little more doughy (especially deep dish). The pizza sauce was put on too thin, as well. To be honest, it reminded me of high school cafeteria pizza; the overall quality was just not there. It wasn't terrible, but I definitely would not go out of my way to order from here again. With that being said , I was still happy to support a local business in Lansing. And who knows, perhaps I'll give them another try later down the road. read more

Toarmina's is great. Don't let the reviews here fool you. I'm not a fan of the deep dish, but the regular crust pizza and their subs are great for the price. It's the same as Palermo's, which being from Grand Rapids has always been a staple in our pizza ordering routine. Atmosphere is hole in the wall pizza place, which is what I look for. I am not a fan of the national chains, maybe that's what the other reviewers lIke? Who knows? Either way, if you like actual pizza, this is one of your better options in the barren foodscape that is Lansing. Plus they have dollar slices and they make really decent samosas. read more

A nice little place I order from. The lady there speaks Russian so it was cool to get some practice in while I was there (I like to study languages) she was really nice and even held the door open for me because my hands were full. The pizza we ordered was a huge 24 inch pizza similar to the one at passport pizza (closer to the metro Detroit area) It's definitely something to order for a group of people at work or for a get together. So I order gluten free crust 12 in pizza and woah I was liked out carrying a little pizza box to feed a 7 year old and the price was $18. With!!! Iv had better quality pizza for a better price and able to feed two grown adults. The ingredients sure are fresh but way to much sauce. Expensive for toppings but. This place is not worth your time or money. We ordered 2 "regular" pizzas and a gluten free pizza from here and they told us they would be ready in 20 minutes. After 18 minutes, and as we were pulling up to pick up our pizza, they called us to tell us that they were out of gluten free crust. First of all, who doesn't immediately check to see if they have gluten free dough when an order is placed? And second who waits until the order is supposed to be ready to call? On top of it, they were very rude in their handling of it all and told us that the best they could do was give us 10% off.........OURNEXTORDER. How presumptuous. There will never be another order. Not only because the service was some of the worst. But also because somehow they created a pizza recipe that not only tastes and feels like corrugated cardboard, but is simultaneously a pool of grease that pimples would be envious of. This is by far the worst pizza I've had in Lansing - and that list includes Hot 'n' Sweaty take out pizza. The pizza was ridiculously overpriced. I peeled back the cheese and there was just a hint of red from where sauce should be, but so little that most bites were just disappointing. After coming from a performance on Saturday night at The Avenue, formerly Gone Wired Cafe, I was craving something that wasn't fast food nor too upscale. As it was still open until midnight and I'd never heard of it before, I figured I'd give Toarmina's a try. I'll tell you up front: You don't come here for the atmosphere. It's small (4 tiny tables, 2 x 4 seats and 2 x 2 seats). They may also have the business next door, but that was closed/closed off. This is definitely a place you get things to go or order delivery. As I'm not a huge pizza lover, I opted for the Grilled Chicken Grinder to take home, which ended up being only about $6.50 with tax (probably less). They probably have a late-night discount, because it was listed as $6.49 originally. I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. It took about 10 minutes to make, because they make it to order. The grilled chicken was either dipped, marinated, or just cooked in Italian dressing. I have recently become a big fan of Italian dressing because of the street foods of NYC. Otherwise, the grinder had no other "sauce" or dressing and was topped with lettuce, onion, tomato and "cheese". It was surprisingly good. I mean, the vegetables were all fresh, except for the onion, which had quite a bite, but wasn't bad. The onion was just a little strong, but had good flavor and firmness. Their claim to fame is their 24" pizza, which each slice apparently is about a foot long. I think that could be good for large groups or parties for sure. I know this place hasn't received great reviews, but I have to admit: I will be going back and likely soon. read more

We ordered a large pizza for lunch for our business here in Lansing. We ordered at 11:30 am for delivery. Time passed and we noticed it was almost 1 pm and no pizza. I called them, and gentleman seemed genuine and apologized said it should have been there and they use a delivery service company. He said I will call back, meanwhile delivery shows up and apologized said another delivery went bad. We checked pizza and it was ice cold. He said he could get us another, we said no it is too late we have work Driver left and delivery company called and apoligized, then Toarmina called and apoligized. They offered to bring another we said not today our lunch was over. The manager of Toarmina said call back next week and a free pizza is on us. We said that's great and excellent service. (Things happen) We called 8 days later and thought we would try again. We said we get free pizza and explained situation. Now we are told sorry no free pizza we changed delivery methods to in house, and would have to pay. Obviously there word meant nothing as did our business that orders out every day. read more
