I can remember years ago when my daughter was at MSU frequently stopping at Georgio's for pizza. For pizza pre-made and just sitting there for someone to buy a slice or three, I thought it was pretty decent pizza. The variety of toppings was also a plus. We were traveling through East Lansing and decided to try Georgio's again. I cannot remember but this may or may not be a new location-that's how many years it's been. Fortunately my wife's favorite pizza was still being made-potato and bacon with sour cream. I opted for a more traditional sausage, pepperoni and onion pizza. They absolutely were as good as we remembered. The only thing that changed were the prices! I really like being able to get a slice or two and mix up toppings which is something more difficult when you order a whole pizza. My wife's pizza and mine could not have been any more far apart. Glad we rediscovered Georgio's and will remember when traveling through East Lansing that we have another food option. read more

Not sure what happened to this place but it's not as good as it used to be. It used to be thin and crispy, light sauce, light cheese, tasty and interesting toppings. Now it still has tasty and interesting topping choices, but the crust is thick and soggy, and too much cheese and sauce. Maybe it's just an off day, I'll try again next week and update this review accordingly. For the record, I fucking love this pizza (Rather I used to). read more

The pizza could use a bit more time in the oven for that perfect crisp, but if you're craving something easy in a college town, it does the job. Georgio's is the best place to grab a bite to eat after a night out at the bars downtown East Lansing! Pizza can be ordered by the slice or whole. The price point for a slice is expensive compared to a stagger home pizza from Cottage Inn, but the slices are HUGE so it's worth it. Almost any pizza flavor you can think of they probably have it! My favorites are the Maria's white, Mac and cheese, and potato bacon (with sour cream on top of course). I appreciate that there are lots of flavor options that don't have red sauce. They offer ranch and garlic butter to dip your pizza/breadsticks in as well. They reheat the pizza so it isn't cold, which only takes a few minutes. It has always tasted fresh, no matter the time of day I have visited. There is plenty of seating to dine-in with friends and I'm going to miss Georgio's now that I've graduated. read more

It's my 3rd day in Michigan and someone suggested Georgio's because of how much I loved Pie Sci but wasn't able to visit there again. This is not Detroit style, but the person told me to go anyway. They had so many creative options to choose from!! I have big eyes but a small stomach. I'm also validating my purchase of 3 large slices of pizza because breakfast, lunch, dinner. I could barely get through the incredibly tasty pepp and sausage slice. I ordered the gyro and the spicy pesto chicken for dinner and for brekkie for a super early and busy day. The pepperoni and sausage pizza was so good. I was so full from that slice that I didn't think I'd be able to have dinner. Took a bite of the gyro slice and got emotional. It was everything I want in a pizza (that isn't Pie Sci). Their homemade tzatziki (as the sauce) threw me off at first because I didn't want to eat warm tzatziki but it's the best tzatziki I've ever had! Georgios brings back the best memories in college. I vividly remember going to Georgios drunk out of my mind and wanting whatever slice of pizza they had. They have a huge variety of different pizzas and you can buy per slice. This was a college students dream! I lived down the street and would come here constantly! This is an East Lansing staple and I'm so happy that they're still in business. If you ever get a chance to come here, make sure you get the mac and cheese pizza or the spinach feta pizza. The person working behind the counter at Georgio's was super friendly, and seemed to bring that same energy to a lot of his customers, exchanging friendly goodbyes with a group of college students that walked out while I was waiting for my pizza. I appreciated the friendliness at the place, and it seems like folks get to be regulars around here. I ended up getting a slice of the potato pizza and a slice of the stuffed spinach pie. The slices are surprisingly heavy - I couldn't quite finish both in one sitting. The potato was good, it felt super unhealthy though lol, and also not as much as pizza as I wanted. I'm not sure what exactly I was expecting, but it was a little too indulgent for me. The stuffed spinach was a perfect level of crisp, and I liked it, but I'm not sure I'd necessarily get it again. For the most unique pizza by the slice you can find head on over to Georgio's. I have been coming here since I was a kid and it hasn't changed one bit, which is a good thing. Flavorful crisp crust and excellent toppings. I've tried the gyro, taco, nacho, spinach feta, baked potato, spicy chicken, pulled pork bacon and more and it's so hard to choose every single time I come. One slice is usually good for me because they are large slices but two slices is even better. Sadly I've never tried the traditional cheese or pepperoni slices but honestly they look just as amazing and more classic NY style. Staff is super friendly. read more

Georgio's is an East Lansing staple. It had two locations up until a few years ago when one was sold. The land was probably worth too much amd they ended up building apartments there. I guess to get a slice from Georgio's quite often when I was a student at MSU from 2007-2011. I still swing by on occasion for a slice when I'm in town. If I'm tailgate hopping on gameday it's a great stop for some fuel after having one or two....or ten drinks. The place was, and still is a madhouse late at night when people are heading home from the bar and parties. Many memories of scarfing down a slice at 2am. Ultimately, this is the closest you'll get to a NY slice in MI. It's very good, for an equally good price. read more

I absolutely LOVE Georgio's pizza! A favorite anytime of the day, even up until 3am! Tasos (owner) has a great quality product here, and the choices and variety are phenomenal! My all time favorite is the gyro (lamb w/ taziki sauce + tomato + red onions) - this has never been duplicated and is one of a kind. I also love the potato + bacon + cheese (don't forget the sour cream!), the nacho, the taco, and let's not forget about the black bean - - which is pretty healthy as well (since it's light on the cheese and full of black beans). The spinach pie is awesome too - - very filling! The crust isn't anything special, but it's thin and always cripsy. I think he comes up w/ some of the most cre8ive ways to make pizzas and I always enjoy seeing what's new and available. This place is always packed during the bar nights, and when school starts you can bet the lines will be out the door! Wow, this Lansing MUST just blew our doors off. First the place was clean and well kept. The floors swept the tables polished and the "condiment" station was stocked. Service was helpful and very personable. It was obvious that most customers are regulars and were greeted by name. After tasting the final product I understand why. Finally the pizza. My wife is a big fan of the hand tossed with light sauce and fresh toppings (in her case one topping, pineapple). I enjoy a good meat lovers or anything nontraditional. We both can leave here happy, their menu is loaded with fresh original options. Black bean, stuffed spinach, and loaded potato pizzas to name a few. The pizza was not greasy and had an amazing crust. Late nite pizza at it's finest. Sure they're open during the day, but this place gets packed right around 2am (when the bars close). If you want to beat the crowd, dine during the day, or at least a half an hour before the bars close down. Huge slices of pizza with an interesting mix of toppings (black bean, mexican, chicken and pesto, potato skin pizza?!!?) the real star of this place (at least when they have it) is their meat pie. If it wasn't so unhealthy (or if I still lived in the same area) I would be eating that every day. With the exception of Bells, you shouldn't be getting pizza by the slice from anywhere but this place. read more

Personally, I love this place - first went as a student a loooong time ago, and recently needed a casual and quick place to eat when meeting up with some family, including kids age 9 and 6. Everyone (6 of us with very different tastes) could choose their own slice and get it fresh and hot. The drink choices are limited, but again, everyone found something to their liking. It's exactly what it claims to be, and fantastic service and pizza by the slice choices. Oh man. This place is it. The one slice pizza shop. You can order a whole pizza, but there's really no need to bother. They have such a wide selection of slices in the glass case. All are made with fresh chopped fixings. Favorite pizza slices were: Baked potato Black Bean Spinach pie mushroom the list goes on. Slices are from 1.75 - 4.00 I believe, but trust that when you spend upwards to 4.00, they are usually loaded with goodness, so you won't leave hungry. I never liked the plain cheese though. If you're a spartan alumni, then you MAY have some wonderful memories of late night visits here. Open late and pizza by the slice is the exact combo you want walking home from an evening out. The pizza toppings or size hasn't changed from years ago when I was a student to now as a tailgating alumni. The pizza still looks the same, the variety of toppings may overwhelm you or get you excited depending on your level of sensory overload. They may have a pizza on display that is just pepperoni, one out of maybe twenty pizzas. The ones that allure and seduce you are the chicken parmesan, black been and rice, gyro, taco, nacho, spinach pie, and potato and bacon. The flavors are good for any of the pieces and the size of any of them are filling, the problem with their concept is that all the pizzas are pre made, then reheated in the pizza oven. It ends up drying out some pieces, depending upon what you order. Order carefully, allow your eyes to enjoy themselves, and enjoy the slice. read more

We were in town visiting the college and ordered to our hotel room. Pizza was good - nothing I'd rush back out for the next day. I'd order again and request cheese and peppers to jazz it up a bit. Also ordered a side salad which was a total waste .. watery lettuce a chunk of tomato, cucumber slice and about 10 shreds of cheese .. lol - ranch was okay.
