I'm usually good at stopping eating when I feel satisfied. I never feel the need to finish everything on my plate or push past that full feeling. But this willpower went out the window with the sandwich I got from Mancino's. I literally did not want to stop eating it. Every bite was delicious and satisfying. The sandwiches are huge, and although I was uncomfortably full halfway through, still I pressed on because I needed that grinder in my mouth (pause). I think what makes Mancino's sandwiches so good is that they are all toasted. I think you can ask for your sandwich not toasted, but why would you? The cheese gets all melty, the bread is slightly crisp but still soft in the middle, and the whole thing is just warm and delightful. I got the BLT (bacon, lettuce, tomato), which you'd think wouldn't benefit from being toasted, but you'd be wrong! This BLT sandwich also has a mozzarella cheese blend in it, which sounds super weird for a BLT, but just go with it. I suppose you could ask for a different cheese, or no cheese at all, but you should just trust that the fine people at Mancino's know what they're doing. After all, they've been doing what they're doing since the 1930s! (According to information that I gleaned from their website. Look at me using my journalism degree.) I was able to order ahead on the phone, and they told me it would take about 15 minutes, which was perfect. When I showed up, my sandwiches were hot and ready for me. And bonus: The people who work here are incredibly friendly and efficient. read more

So glad to find Mancino's in DeWitt after just moving here. Especially since it's such an affordable option AND it's delicious! Both styles of crust are exceptional. Their sauce is some of the best I have ever had and they never skimp on cheese, sauce OR toppings. Everything is great quality. My favorite-Pepperoni, Meatball and Jalapeño. *chef's kiss* The grinders are a true delight as well and I cannot believe how many they have on their menu. There is definitely something for everyone and they don't seem to mind to customize a grinder for you if you ask. Our families favorite? The chicken, especially the southwest chicken. Go ahead and do yourself the favor and get the full size. It's huge but it warms up nicely for leftovers. Next to try will be their salads and pasta. I just need to remember that they are closed on Sundays. Lastly, the staff is always friendly and you can tell that they take pride in their work. I love that. My only qualm is that they don't deliver. But it's alright because their pizza and grinders are worth the 5 minute drive :) You guys rock! read more

I grew up loving Mancini's, but moved away years ago. I was back in town visiting my Michigan family and the first place we came was here for lunch. LOVE their grinders. Always get a whole Turkey and eat every inch! It's just as good as I remember! I HIGHLY recommend and I will be back every chance I can!! read more

New Year's Eve, Called ahead, order was ready. Grinders were not toasted like they usually are

When Mancinos is good, it's GOOD. The bread and cheese are why you order a grinder. Damn good. If you eat meat, that's great, too. The veg is fresh. And the combination of all of the above: a melody of angels singing contentment to your tum. However, the quality control (having consistent food every time) and staff being not exactly friendly have soured my love. I used to go ALL the time when coming back up to Michigan every year as I've been eating it since I was a kid. But after ordering 3 different times at 2 different locations, I think my nostalgia has worn off. I think I'll hold into my memories of that delicious delicious crispy cheese and seek hot sandwiches elsewhere. read more

Great emergency savior! Wifey & I were headed to "NippySippy" & they were having their p lot redone; CLOSED! SOOOO, We trundled our happy butts to the Mancinos in DeWitt. Wifey LOVES Mancinos, and this particular franchisee does it very well. The place was clean, welcoming, felt spacious and cozy at the same time. Her Steak sub was great, if a tad salty--but she says she's getting old, so she may be sensitive to salt! My Meatball Sub was reallly good--I was only bummed that they don't have a whole wheat option like my home store in Battle Crizzle. The latter is my 4, instead of 5, rating. Staff was very friendly, polite, & efficiently quick. Go here for a good value, great lunch or dinner. (Not sure how late they're open, honestly) read more

Mancinos has been working hard with Yelp to get negative reviews scrubbed, so re-posting my review which I was informed "might" have been a result of not actually visiting the restaurant. Obviously, this is not the case...kind of seems silly to randomly review places one has never been to. Of course, I could mention the cold pizza. Or the generally pedestrian excuse for Italian food, no different than in nearly every other small town in the midwest (i.e. nothing to write home about). All of planet earth is following the science, but Mancinos of DeWitt seems to think they know best about how to handle COVID. So unfortunate when business feel the scientists and experts don't know what they're doing. But here little ol' Mancinos is making their own decisions about how to keep people safe. I just hope they don't take the same approach to food safety. read more

1) this location is super clean (we tried the west Lansing one once and it was sooo gross) 2) low carb option ~ that is truly delicious. The cheese melts into the wrap just like with the grinder. Amazing. PS They may be the only location with that low carb wrap. I called the Mt Hope one and the guy staff there said they didn't have the demand for it in Lansing. We have excellent service and food and the entire place was so clean (especially the bathrooms). Our party got some grinders and everyone was satisfied with their meals. Ordered a 16" with pepperoni on the whole thing, mushrooms on half, and pineapple on half. Phenomenal! We also got an order of cheesy bread, which was top notch. I went to Mancinos on December 2 around 630. They were extremely busy, however the staff handled the stress and got orders out relatively quick. I noticed that they even can gave out longer wait times. I appreciated the honestly, and look forward to coming again. read more

This place is awesome! All the food is really great! My only complaint would be their salads, they use shredded lettuce instead of chopped which to me doesn't make sense but since it's a pizza place not a salad place it's not that big of a deal to me. My suggestion get here and eat! read more
