First of the salad was HUGE and the dressing was delicious! Second we ordered "dry" breadsticks and they were perfect! Infact the salad came with a couple breadsticks as well and they even made those dry!! Third, the pizza sauce we got with the breadsticks was piping hot! Win all the way around. When we picked up our order we asked for some Parmesan cheese packets and they gladly filled two plastic containers for us and also made sure we had to go silverware. I took a quick peek at the restaurant and it has a very cozy welcoming atmosphere! Definitely going to add this little pizza joint to our list of places to stop when passing through Charlotte. Sorry no pictures we were hungry and on the road!

I live in nearby Potterville and Hungry Howie's was the only food delivery available to me…read moreyesterday. I usually get my wings from a local place but their hours were listed incorrectly online so I ordered $90 worth of food from Hungry Howie's! While I admit the wings were smaller than what I was used to, the 16 piece BBQ was filling for me and very tasty. I did request that they not be "stringy" with the sauce and they didn't disappoint! Be careful if you hold the wings in the cardboard container because they can all slip out! I ordered two of these for the weekend and planned to cook some rice and spinach with it to make them last two to three days through the Easter Weekend. The large garden salads were so good, fresh, and filling and it was like buying some salad from a grocery store. The croutons are small, though. I really needed pop delivered to me and the four Pepsi 2 Liters I ordered were a godsend! Likewise, so were the two Ghirardelli cookie "pies," but they were too much so I probably should've ordered just one, but I was ordering for the Easter Weekend so I'm hoping they'll last in the refrigerator. The young man delivering my food was respectful and acknowledged my request for a contactless delivery in view of the age of CoronaVirus. I tipped him. I called after making my order online, and the woman who answered ensured I would receive everything I ordered which I did. Will shop there again in the future! Won't order as much (this time I kind of used Hungry Howie's and both a fast food place and a grocery delivery place for my salads and my pops); but it was worth it. Finally, what I appreciate the most are that Hungry Howie's still had deals (like mix and match for $5.99 and other pizza deals), whereas other restaurants who didn't normally deliver got rid of their deals such as the place who had a 2 for $25 meal got rid of their appetizers as part of the deal). My point is that I appreciate Hungry Howie's offering deals for its customers during these tough times while other places didn't so they could maximize their profit rather than looking out for their customers. Thanks Hungry Howie's! Peace.

The restaurant was situated just northeast of the interchange at Exit 66. The place had tables for eating in but we didn't find Poppa Chip's Pizza was really set up for eating in. For example, besides bottled water the only other drinks were 2 liter sodas. There was no Parmesan cheese and we didn't spot the the dried red pepper flakes 'til we got up to leave. We were given paper plates but no utensils. There were three people working but only one seemed to be making our food. Though the other tables were still a bit of a mess, the other two guys sat behind the counter and looked at their phones throughout our visit. My girl was going to use the restroom but changed her mind because she was unable to get the door to completely shut. The physical setting of this pizza joint was not encouraging. Oh, the guy taking our "pizza, wings, 2 waters" order ($31) couldn't make change on a $50. "It's the middle of the afternoon and you don't have $19 in the register?" My girl and I looked at each other and the explanation suddenly registered in both of our brains: "They're near the highway, they don't take $50 & $100 bills because they're afraid to get fakes, but they won't tell us that or even bother to check the security features on our real $50." So we dug up between us the $31 in small bills. It would have been less irritating to be told the simple truth: We don't take big bills. I had the joint's all meat pizza, which came with pepperoni, ham, sausage, bacon, and ground beef. The thin crust pizza was okay. My girl had oven roasted wings with buttermilk sauce. She found the wings were juicy but thought the exteriors lacked crispness. Overall, it was unexceptional food. We were hungry when we walked in and when we left we were not. The food filled us up like packing pellets fill up cardboard boxes. There was nothing so special or notable about any of the food that would make us want to return and have it again. In short, Poppa Chip's Pizza puts out decent, serviceable food. But not memorable food.
