I made reservations early to celebrate my son's graduation from MSU. We were on time and they had the table ready. Our reservation were made for 12 and the server was nice. When we go out to restaurants we tyically hand over a list of allergies my youngest son has, it is just easier for the server to take. Gluten, Eggs, Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Soy Protein, Shell Fish. The server read it and took it back. My son ordered the steak and wanted mashed potatoes. Server came back and said he could not have them and recommended veggies. I ordered the Fra Diavolo which was spicy and good. My son's steak was decent but wished he could have had the mashed potatoes. We asked if he can have the sweet potatoes and she went to the manager and she came back and verified if he can have dairy. We verfied and indicated that he could have dairy. They made the sweet potatoes for him but I didn't think any dairy was in it or other allergens. As lunch was winding down we looked into dessert and asked about the vanilla ice cream (to see if he can have it as sometimes it has eggs in it). She came back and asked if he could have dairy (at this point, I answered and said, we gave you a list and it doesn't list dairy so yes he can). I was getting upset. So he was able to have ice cream. Overall, for a big party, I thought the service was not great. Then when we received the check, she listed dairy as an allergen which we never indicated he had. I'm 100% sure he could have had more options to eat. The server was told twice that he was not allergic to dairy (I get being precautious is a good thing but apologize for the mistake). We went here on a monday night and found the restaurant to be desserted and super quiet. A but eery but for a monday night not entirely unexpected. It had kind of older interiors and a vintage look to it. We were seated promptly and ordered the food quickly. We had the fried ravioli, the flatbread, pasta, chicken marsala, salmon, tiramisu and the brownie sundae and all the food was amazing! The portion sizes were huge and specially after enjoying the bread we were totally stuffed. The flavours were exactly what youd expect them to be and it was hard to stop myself from over indulging. For that kind of price, I would expect that to be included not an additional charge. My son got the pizza-cooked in a brick oven and was tasty. This is a restaurant with high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows to make a bright cheerful dining experience. The dinner salmon, pasta Bravo, and salmon salad are three of our favorites. If you enjoy patio dining, they have two spacious patios. I also highly recommend their happy hour. It is available weekdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. There are seven food items for $7. I can make a meal out of one. There are six cocktails, sangria and house wines for $7 each. I always get a cocktail as I don't care for the house wine. We are not usually BIG on chain restaurants, but Bravo! in Lansing hit it outa the park yesterday! My wife completed her doctorate at CMU and we needed to celebrate someplace that could accommodate 10 adults and two small children. Knowing that Mt P's limited restaurant choices would be jammed plus the fact that we had folks heading home in three different directions, I thought Lansing would be a great location to dine. Little did I realize that MSU was ALSO having commencement the same day - duh! But not a problem for them here! Plus we all noticed that there were numerous large families celebrating commencements throughout the restaurant, and all parties were smoothly and efficiently served. We ordered off the menu, and our incredibly professional and accommodating server, Nick, could not have been better all around. Friendly, fast, efficient, patiently answered every question and catered to our diverse needs and requests. The food was outstanding, and we had quite the assortment, from apps which included yummy artichoke spinach dip, bread with dipping sauce and deep fried "Crispy Mozz Ravioli," to cold and crispy salads with delicious house-made dressing to every entree. Lasagna, fra diavolo, chicken caprese, scampi, pizza for the 5-year old grandson and my wife's Pasta Woozie. ALL were outstanding. Wine and soft drinks were on point and the soft drinks refilled quickly and in a timely fashion. Coffee, espresso, capucino were all freshly brewed, and Nick was even kind enough to plate, and top the cake we brought with candles. My only regret is that I had 2 $25 gift cards that I intended to use but forgot because we were all having such an incredible time! We also paid for drinks that we never got. I complained through DoorDash, and there was no way to complain for the restaurant through the app. The pasta, carbonara would have been good if it was served warm. This time not so much: Had a girls dinner with mom and ordered pick up: Bread-0/5- Hard as a rock, so sad cause I love it!! Chopped Salad 2/5-great if you only wanted olives on it. Lobster Bisque-2/5- Cold and barely any lobster Pasta with butter-0/5- Don't know how they could overlook and not add enough butter to taste Spaghetti and Marinara- 2/5-Pasta overcooked but the marinara was good but not enough sauce. My hubs and I love Bravo! They have the best Italian food outside of another local we really enjoy. I enjoyed the chicken Piccata, which I highly recommend. My hubs enjoyed his favorite pork chops dinner. Always good quality and quantity for the price. We got Jimmy as our server and he was very friendly and stayed on top of things. But being a random Tuesday night we got a table pretty quick. We waited a bit for a glass of water. So we decided to order drinks and entrées at the same time. Our waiter was pleasant enough. We were in it for the amazing food. The salmon salad is so good! My sister had Pasta Alfredo that was yummy! Our server disappeared for days at a time but I think they were pretty busy inside (we sat on the porch). When it started to rain a busboy offered to move us inside - how nice! I love Bravo. We're rating them 4.5 but I went ahead and rounded up. They are pretty consistent with their food. The service has always been great whether it's just me or a large group. They menu doesn't seam to change much, but at least what they have on the menu is done great. No lobster ravioli at moment though which is a bummer. The happy hour makes me very happy. I stopped in here for dinner one night while I was in town for a training. I sat at the bar and it wasn't very busy. I did not have a very good customer service experience with the bartender. He spent the entire time talking to a former employee who was sitting at the bar and they sat there talking negatively about other people who worked at the restaurant. I thought that was very tasteless to considering customers were up there eating. Bravo to the best of my remembrance used to have more gluten free options on their menu but this time I did not notice very many. I ended up ordering a pasta with chicken and spinach and it was very bland and dry. I would not order it again and I certainly would not put pay the steep price tag that they charged for it. My colleagues and I came here for dinner, and I think before we even sat down, we knew we wanted dessert. I know this is an Italian restaurant, and pasta is basically one of their mainstays, but I'll let you know right now that if we're just talking about desserts, they deserve 5 stars. I got the creme brulee and it was delicious. My coworker told me I was smiling so much just staring in adoration and eating my creme brulee. I don't doubt her. That creme brulee made me incredibly happy. I also took a bite of her tiramisu, and it was good. I'm no tiramisu fan, but I must admit that it was also delicious. Whomever their pastry chef is, they know what they're doing. I got the pasta bravo, and I'll say that was a 3 stars pasta. It was fine, but didn't really spark any particular joy. Pasta is basically all carbs, so this meal needs to spark lots of joy. It should be comforting and nourishing and make me feel like I'm sinking into bed at the end of a long day. I'm not sure if it was because it was gluten free, or just one of their less good pastas. My coworker got the spaghetti pomodoro and he said it was good, so I'd give their pasta another chance. We planned a Friendsgiving at Bravo!Italian Kitchen the day before Thanksgiving 2022 and the staff made it marvelous. Our normal restaurant could not accommodate us this year due to limited staff. I wish I would've gotten the name of our waiter, he had a very distinctive amazing beard and I'm sure he's the only one in the place with that type of a beard! He waited on our table of 15 people, our food arrived at the same time, it was hot, and everybody commented on how delicious it was. He refilled drinks in a timely manner and had a great attitude. This was our first time dining here. We had just picked up my brother-in-law at the Flint airport and Italian sounded good to him, so we thought we'd try it. We sat outdoors and it was like we were forgotten! Nick was our server and he was not impressive. Two beers were ordered (there were 3 of us) and 3 waters. We all ordered the Pasta Woozie. He brought the food and we never saw him again until he brought the bill. MOST places a server will check in with you within 5 minutes of delivering your food to make sure everything is ok. He never came to refresh water, etc. The food was barely warm, though it was tasty it was very salty. We all found it odd that an Italian restaurant doesn't serve breadsticks with their entree; not even ONE! Overall, not impressed and we probably won't go back. read more
