My sisters wedding rehearsal dinner was here. Service was good considering we had the party room and it was more a catered style dinner. Plenty of variety with pizzas and you can tell the dough is freshly prepared. The drinks were very good as well.

I like this little Roadhouse. They have a small menu so you know that they are using fresh ingredients on every order The service is real good, fast and friendly. They have a really nice seating area on the south side of the building, they also have nice seating on the north side of the building with fireplace and full bar. I will be returning and posting pictures of food later.

Not the worst food in town, but for sure not the best. The food was just Ok. Service was a bunch of college kids who don't know what work is. Not one person including the manager asked how anything was, but yet the bill was $79. Staff was more into their phones and friends than doing their job or serving customers,

While searching for a new breakfast spot to try this morning, I stumbled upon Coral Gables. This was my first time dining here and my boyfriend and I both tried the breakfast buffet. We found the service to be good and our overall experience to be about average. The price was fair, and the food was about what you would expect to see on a breakfast buffet. Not bad if you are in a hurry as they have ample seating and kept the buffet stocked. Pros: The fruit was incredibly fresh, the toast was delicious and the bacon was cooked well. Cons: The corned beef hash tasted like canned Hormel and the hash browns were not great from the buffet (I imagine they'd be better if cooked to order). **Follow my collection "Greater Lansing Breakfast/Brunch" for all of my local breakfast/brunch reviews!**

Let's start with the good. The history of Coral Gables is amazing. All the big bands and top acts stopped by from the 30's to the 60's. MSU students famously came here to drink when EL was dry. There are stories about the great 60's football players like Bubba Smith coming to drink with teammates and girlfriends. Fast forward to today and this place is God's waiting room. The food was clearly made in house but my hot turkey sandwich and my wife's moussaka appeared to be microwaved as there were hot and cold spots in each. There really is potential at Coral Gables. They could get rid of half their menu items and no one would notice. Keep the waitstaff and update the menu and this place could be something again.

The locals fill this popular restaurant. I like coming here because it is one of the few places with a traditional all you can eat salad bar. The menu offers lots of diverse options from burgers to Greek and Italian food. The dining rooms are not fancy, in fact dated in a comforting sort of way. They have a full service bar with lots of tvs tuned into sports, especially Michigan State. We have never had to wait for a table because of the expansive set of dining rooms. The service is friendly. We ordered salad bar and the spinach lasagna roll. The salad bar is no-frill but fresh. Romaine lettuce, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers cheddar cheese, beets, bacon, sunflowers seeds and a number of other options to fill your plate for only $6.95. The had about 10 dressing options including an interesting garlic dressing. Their signature toasted Italian bread is included with both meals. The generous portion of spinach lasagna is served baked in a bowl with lightly browned mozzarella on top. The lasagna is piping hot with a tasty tomato sauce and lots of fresh spinach. You can tell the lasagna is freshly prepared. The meal is very filling and a great deal. They offer a kid's meal and provide the little tikes with crayons and a colorable menus. The kid's plates were incredibly generous, enough to fill a budding football player. This is the place to come for comfort food.

I went to Coral Gables for breakfast. It was Sunday so the restaurant was quite busy with the church crowd. The menu was limited because they had a breakfast buffet. I know, I know, buffets are supposed to be gross, the food cold, etc...but seriously, they do a decent job. They had a ton of fresh fruit and juice, scrambled eggs (both regular and egg beaters), bacon, sausage, toast in the french and normal varieties, pancakes, corn-beef hash, biscuits and gravy, really good crispy hash browns, doughnuts, and whole bunch of breakfast pastries. It was pretty much endless. The buffet cost about $9 which is my only gripe. Though the food was good, $9 seems like a steep price for a breakfast buffet. And sure, Sam M. called them out- this place is littered with baby boomers and the greatest generation. They flock to this place like it's a Buick dealership, but you know what, overhearing their conversations about church gossip and wool sweaters superiority to cotton sweaters is just part of the experience at Coral Gables. For a Sunday breakfast Coral Gables won't do you wrong.

Everything seemed right: location, reputation, aromas, price and food presentation but…read moreunfortunately Spagnuolo's fell short on taste and texture. We opted for the margarita pizza, pasta carbonara, and chicken parmesan. Our entrees each came with a piece of focaccia and a side salad. (Super great value but I guess in this instance, you get what you pay for) The salad was fresh and the bread was fluffy and warm. The margarita pizza is served with tomato sauce, cheddar cheese, and a sprinkle of basil; certainly not the margarita pizza neither of us or our tastebuds are accustomed. The chicken parmesan was beautiful when brought to the table. However, disappointment set in after the first few bites. The chicken was not breaded in the least nor was it seemingly seasoned. After doctoring with black pepper, red pepper flakes, and extra parmesan it was tolerable as the tomato sauce had decent flavor. The carbonara would have been better with half of the pasta or twice the sauce, it just was uneventful. Our beverages were decent and also fairly priced. The service was also a highlight of the experience. The team members we encountered were friendly although I'm not sure I trust their judgement on which dishes to select. The restaurant itself was a casual setting with scattered diners throughout. There were some regulars, which was evident through interactions with team members, and a mixture of young and mature families. We really wanted to love Spagnuolo's as it is close to our new home and when you're in the mood for saucy pasta goodness or having a shove pizza in my face moment, you don't want to have to go far. It seems our search will continue.

I think it took at least 15 minutes to get our drinks ordered and of course the food order after that took probably close to 20 minutes. What I find surprising is that ordering an appetizer and salads took a long time to get. Aren't those easy things? I guess I resented ordering breadsticks when the meal came with foccia bread anyway so now we were stuck with all this bread on our table. I had the chicken Parmesan and it was covered with so much cheese! I couldn't tell if there was any chicken on the plate. The side of pasta was not more than a cup serving and the sauce unremarkable. The waitress was also the bartender which made service extra slow. Place decent and dated but nothing to write home about. I'm glad I can't go back!

Toppings: 5/5 I have never seen so many topping before on a 1-topping. Americans go overboard on toppings generally anyways, so I never order more than two toppings on a pizza. But wow. Cheese: 5/5 The amount of cheese on this pizza was a double-cheese equivalent at Dominos or Pizza Hut. It wasn't fresh mozzarella (like they hopefully have on their hearth baked ones), but it was cheese galore. Sauce: 4/5 The two most important parts of a pizza is the crust and the sauce. That is what takes skill. This sauce is really quite good. Much better than you will find in any local chain like Howie's or Cottage Inn, and slightly better than Dominos or Pizza Hut. Not awesome, but good. It doesn't taste like that nasty and sugary stuff. Crust: 3.5/5 I don't go easy on crust reviews. 3.5 is actually good for America. 5/5 Is a good joint in Naples. The crust here was better than Dominos and Pizza Hut. It was somewhat light and did not get soggy. But at the same time the outer edges were compressed and not airy at all. Pizza joints should pride themselves on the crust, and not have the cheese go half an inch to the edge like this one. Anyone can throw a bunch of cheese down. Crust is what separates the truly good pizza. Overall, it's good pizza. I will be back. I can foresee them taking a lot of customers away from Cottage Inn if they were closer to the bars and had late night deals. I would like to try their hearth pizza next, to see if it comes close to a Neapolitan style.

The countless times I have entered and felt the entire mood of the place and then suffered through it. I am not an old codger, dear reader. I am fairly optimistic, yet the most expensive issues for dining out are costly. For my time, my wallet and value. With that, I am pleased to offer "Cooperhawk Winery and Restaurant." It is beautiful. Inside and out. It is for the connoisseur and the starter. It is priced right and there is something for everyone. Ordinarily, I would dismiss this type of venue. But it was the occasion of our anniversary and my wife is a wine girl. So I did it. And when we walked in,,, it was stunning. The first thing you will see is the grand wine wall with a long bar in front of it. This is where you can choose wine tastings and flights. Get a little something before dinner. They asked me if I was a card holding member. I laughed and said oh no. By the end of the day, I was. And am glad for it. The staff treats you like you are welcomed guests. Kind. Intuitive... and helpful. They are educated and know their stuff. The wine tasting was outstanding with the Sommelier addressing every facet of the drinks we were trying. And it was delicious. We were called for dinner and sat in the main dining room. Beautiful. Warm. Clean. Immediately, our server showed and wished us a happy anniversary and brought us complimentary champagne. (When you reserve your seats, it asks about special occasions). A bonus. We had a warm soft pretzel loaf with butter as we waited. My wife ordered a filet mignon platter which she defined as excellent. I had a chicken dish with outstanding potatoes and fresh green beans. More wine please. We imbibed. While we were full from the main course they still brought out some truffles to seal the deal. We decided to join the club and got a membership. 2 bottles of exclusive wine a month for $50. A fair value as with it comes wine tastings, complimentary glasses of wine when visiting and several offers a month. We have been back several times, and each is better than the last. I encourage you to come a half hour early to enjoy the spirits and relax before your meal. 10 out of 10.
