We have visited Lansing Shuffle several times. Each time we have enjoyed the atmosphere, options, and prices. On this particular instance we attended a "roadtrip" event. For a cover charge you got to sample nice sized portions from each location. The MC was hilarious, the DJ fantastic, it was open to everyone. It was an all around good time! The parking can be a major annoyance but once you find a space it's worth it! I do wish that there were table wipes readily available since the tables turn over so quickly but don't always get wiped down between patrons. read more

Great location right on the river. The indoor space has shuffle games and a few other activities like corn hole. My only beef is $6 to park for an hour when there is no event and parking lot is empty! Lots of different cuisine to choose from. The crab nachos were insanely good. We really loved the tikka masala as well. Everyone was so friendly and helpful while we walked around and tried to decide what to eat. read more

I went 2 different nights it was walking distance from my hotel and made it easy and simple. The first night I had a boozey milkshake from Browndog and then something from Takitos AF. I liked the milkshake a lot my only issue was that to get the booze you had to walk across the place to the bar to get the shot for it. I wish it was blended in when they were making the milkshake easier to mix it that way. The thing i got from Takitos AF was ok i forget what it was called but would not get it again. The second night I went i went to Browndog and just got food this time I got the picante quesadilla and that was very good would definitely get it again it i could. read more

This place was super cute! I wish we had something like this in our town. I debated on coming here but initially wanted some boba! They had signs posted on the wall for different events occurring. I thought this was super awesome that they could continuously connect with the community and support food vendors! Parking - seems like a pretty busy place but luckily we found a parking spot near the water. There was public parking on the other side of the road. Surroundings - There was a kayak rental place a few steps down. The building is near the water, which is a beautiful spot so sit and walk around in the summer. It reminded me of downtown Grand Rapids being by the water! Summary - It reminded me of an event with food vendors but this is in an indoor building with air conditioning. There were 4-5 different vendors in the building, along with an area where live music goes on. Food - There was Thai, Indian, and American food from what I recall. Inside - There were ~10 tables with 6-8 chairs at each table in the buillding. Four tables infront of the live stage were a little crammed together. All the tables were nearly packed when we arrived. I like this place, it's in a great location downtown Lansing on the river with inside and outside seating. There are several small business you can support ranging from a taco shop, burgers to a few different Asia cuisines. There are areas where they have games to play and a small room to the side where you could possibly host a small get together with family & friends. They have gender neutral restrooms and the place is wheelchair accessible. I went for lunch on the weekend and it was pretty quiet. I ordered sushi from Lala Fish and got another order of orange chicken with rice from Kinthai. My sushi was good. I ordered 2 rolls which were very big in size and tasty. It was enough to fill me up without being overly stuffed. The orange chicken was okay. The sauce was good but the chicken itself had no seasoning. The rice was a big scoop of white rice which my son enjoyed. I would love to come back and try something new. I think they could add another variation of food like Italian or a dessert shop. This is a great concept to support small businesses. It reminds me of Detroit Shipping Co. in Detroit. Service was fast and friendly. You should come check it out. read more

Went on a Monday and only 3 restaurants were open. A bit disappointed but it was a Monday and we decided to stay. We decided on Mexican and the poor fellow was alone. We were a party of 6 so it took awhile. He was generous with portions and amiable. The concept is terrific but probably hard to sustain 7 days a week. Monday night probably not representative of what happens here so we're going to try another night and see. Our food was good, filling and reasonably priced. The crowd was small but happy all in all. This place is really cool! It's exciting to see fun spots opening in Lansing. Nate and I stopped to check out Lansing Shuffle on our way back to Grand Rapids from Ann Arbor recently. Lansing Shuffle was created by the same group behind Detroit Shipping Company, and it has a similar vibe. It's a food hall with multiple vendors, a couple of bars, and indoor and outdoor seating. They have plans to open a shuffleboard court, which is fun and unique! Parking is validated for up to two hours in the parking lot across the street, which is really handy. There is also another parking lot nearby. Upon entering, I was impressed with the space - the tall ceilings make it feel airy and open, and there's plenty of seating. It was tough to choose what I wanted to eat, but I ended up at Irie Smoke Shack and got brisket, a side of collard greens, and their mac and cheese. Nate got aloo tikka sliders and steamed chicken momos (dumplings) at Yeti Kitchen. We also got a couple of drinks - a fruity sangria and an Oberon. The weather was great so we got to sit outside. Our table was a bit wobbly but the patio was really nice. I loved the food! The brisket was super tender and flavorful and the sauce was a great classic BBQ. It was pretty fatty, which I don't mind but I know some people wouldn't like that. The mac and cheese was super rich and very creamy, with perfectly cooked noodles. The collard greens were some of the best I've had. They had jalapenos in them which gave them a bit of a kick but they weren't too spicy. The whole meal was about $30 but it was a lot of food that we could have split between two people. My sangria was sweet but not too sweet, and only $10. The momos were amazing! They were perfectly steamed with tender chicken, and the chutney was really flavorful. I'd definitely order them again. The sliders were tasty, but I felt they needed something else to add more of a crunch. Nate loved them and said they were his favorite part of our meal. They were setting up for karaoke when we were leaving, which I thought was fun but also a bit weird since it was only around 7 pm on a Thursday. I'd love to come back and try more food - they also have a burger place that serves boozy milkshakes, a Thai restaurant, and a vegan Italian spot. i'll be making the 2 hour drive a little more often after trying shuffle. i really wish a place of this nature existed near me !!! there's several different ethnic food stalls, & you'll be able to find every part of your meal at at least one of them. you're craving elote AND shawarma? shuffle has you covered! it was hard to pick my meal as everything sounded so good, & most were decently priced as well! i settled on the crab rangoon nachos (only $12), & it was truly a masterpiece of a meal. it was extremely filling AND delicious. i had baklava for dessert, which never disappoints. shuffle is also the perfect definition of a third space, which was my favorite part. there were a lot of local events posted, which is great for both community members & folks like me looking for a good time away from home:) the staff was very kind, fast, & patient with any questions. the setup feels almost like the open cafeteria vibe from high school (but better of course!). i had several other guests strike up a conversation with me, which is a pleasant surprise when eating out. there was also a nice outdoor park area that was playing music. there was a beautiful view of the water where many ducks were splashing around. in my short visit, it seemed like there was even more to check out! i highly recommend this place to anyone, whether you're a local or just daytripping to lansing! read more

So, they opened this place with shuffleboard essentially in the name but there's literally ONE shuffleboard. I asked, and one of the bartenders said they are behind on building the shuffleboard area because of materials etc which makes sense but is totally misleading. There's one bar to get drinks at and they're obviously overpriced because everything is right now. I didn't eat here so I can't speak to food quality but they're trying to copy the Detroit Shipping Company model of multiple food vendors etc. it's a nice idea, but the difference is that LS doesn't have many normal food options. They apparently have bbq, vegan pasta (?!!?) and ice cream. The food options need to be stepped up. Also, I live in metro Detroit where you pay to park everywhere but this place is $2/hour which is mental. read more

2024-03-10. The Lansing Shuffle. Lansing, MI The Lansing Shuffle touts itself as a Social Club. It's a nice piece of property developed by the waterfront of the north-south section of the Grand River with I-496 to the south and M-43 (E. Saginaw St.) to the north. It's a scenic spot and there is a large outdoor seating area which would serve as a nice venue for social gatherings and hanging out with your friends. The western exposure is ideal for afterwork or afterschool as it will allow you to enjoy what is left of the day in the sun as it sets. Cornhole boards as provided as part of the social club setting, but being March, it was still a bit chilly to sit outside. Inside, is a series of eateries with a wide selection of cuisines. Choose from Thai, Mexican, Nepalese (Indian influence), Middle Eastern, Italian, Caribbean, and American. The MO is food court style. You place your order, find your seat, pick up your food, and clean up after yourself. Most restaurants will give you an ETA of when your food will be ready or take your number and text you when it's ready. There is also a full bar if you're just looking for drinks and good conversation. Perusing the menus from all the Shuffle had to order, nothing really stood out for me. I would have tried the Birria Ramen from Takitos AF, but I just had some while I was in Texas. I settled on Osteria Vegana (a Vegan restaurant) and ordered their Pasta Verde Pesto ($16). I was told it would take 15 minutes, so I also ordered some Truffle fries ($7.25) with Parmesan (+$1) from Browndog. If you notice I wrote Parmesan and not Parmigiana, and that's because the cheese was not fresh from the block. It was the processed grated kind. Pasta Verde Pesto. This was a pretty big disappointment. The pesto flavor was very faint and the dish was missing more than 50% of it's ingredients. There was no garlic, tomatoes, or red peppers, and there was no cashew or basil flavoring at all. The dish had very little flavor as a whole. The bow tie pasta was cooked to a nice al-dente though. 1 star. Truffle Fries. This fared slightly better than the pasta. They were straight cut, about 3/8". They were doused with truffle oil and salt, lots of salt! The parmesan was the Kraft kind. The fries did come with a side container of garlic mayo, but it too was nothing to write home about. 1 star. Overall, both items were a bust, and I left the shuffle unsatiated and about $30 lighter in the wallet. In hindsight, I should have went Caribbean and got some Jerk Chicken and Smoked Brisket... next time... maybe... Overall, the Shuffle is much better suited as a Social Club than an eatery. They do have one shuffleboard table inside (by the restrooms) as well as a private room you can book and have one of the food stalls cater. The room has a large screen TV as well as some table games to entertain you and has a door that leads out to the waterfront patio. Seeing as the Shuffle is touted as a social club, my rating is for the venue and not the food. 4 stars. We were strolling around downtown and enjoying the River Trail when we started to hear some great live music. It turns out it was coming from the lovely patio at the Lansing Shuffle. It faces the river and has some great views. Inside are several great food options: the Yeti Kitchen (Himalayan snacks), Osteria Vegana (vegan Italian food), Browndog (burgers, sandwiches, and ice cream), Irie Smoke Shake (Caribbean fusion BBQ), and Kin Thai (Southeast Asian eatery). The food is arranged around sides of the space, leaving plenty of room in the center for tables. Another major feature was still coming soon at the time of our visit: shuffleboards! It sounds like it will be pretty fun and will even have a league option. In the meantime, we enjoyed sampling some food while listening to the live music and taking in the great weather and views! read more

Such a great find! My dog was allowed in the facility and at all the tables surrounding the building as well. The choices between food and drink were so difficult! I got Thai, which was SO delicious, while my family chose burgers and fries. Pros: good place to go when you have a group that can't decide on what to eat. The food court has BBQ, Italian, Mexican, Himalayan, and a couple other choices. The atmosphere is fun - the last time we went, a DJ was blasting pop and dance tunes. Free Nintendo consoles, board games, and a shufflepuck table. Overall clean. Cons: With tax and tip you are paying $15-20 per person for a meal that may not fill you up. I'm sure there must be a high rent charge, otherwise the prices should be lower. It gets a bit crowded at times, hard to get your own table, and the DJ was honestly too loud to have a conversation. We'll see when they put in the outdoor shuffleboard courts if this turns into more of a social club, but as it is now, it has the feel of a glammed up mall. My daughter is a tenth generation Texan who loves BBQ. She says that the sauce was a bit under spiced, but she said that it was still great. The fries tasted a bit salty, but generally quite good. Really fun environment! The outside seating options are nice, along with the games they had. I imagine it would be even better once the shuffleboards are actually open. The food, on the other hand, is a different story. Very overpriced for fairly small portions. I got a burger from Browndog, and it was below average for a $15 burger. In addition, my partner got food poisoning from the pad thai from Kin Thai. Will not be returning unless it is just for drinks. read more
