Local craft distillery that creates a unique blend of vodkas, bitters, etc. Literally everything at the bar is home made. We visited late and really just stopped in to get a drink but the owner was there and gave us a quick tour. We explored the machines, barrels and containers used to make all spirits and learned about the process of creating their unique blend of spirits. The history of this place is very compelling and our drinks (flamingo) were crafted with perfection. We left with their Apple vodka and that bottle didn't make it through the weekend. The night we visited, no events occurred but the owner did mention they have live music and other events regularly. An overall cute spot I'd return to. read more

Absolutely loved visiting Red Cedar Spirits for the first time. I am a sucker for a deal so I bought a Groupon for a distillery tour, appetizer, and two cocktails to go and my significant other and I paid a visit just before it expired for date night. They have a full menu of house-made craft cocktails and wine, with three board options for appetizers. The charcuterie board comes with the Groupon but they let us get the Mediterranean board instead. We opted to take the appetizer to go because they had a food truck on-site (Suns Out Buns Out) and we wanted to give it a go. I tried the Oak Berry Buzz and Cranberry Clove Punch cocktails and my significant other tried the Gold Rush. We had no complaints about any of our drinks and our favorite was the Cranberry Clove Punch. We got the Pixie Elixir and Lavender Bee's Knees cocktails to go and we're looking forward to trying them. They have on-site bourbon samples if you want to try a small sip of their option straight, and they sell bottles to go as well. All-in-all, we enjoyed our visit. So wonderful. The cocktails are crafted with a careful hand and I love the ambiance. It's a great break from the traditional bar scene and such a nice, relaxing place to chat and share stories with close friends. A small fireplace is in the far corner, giving the entire space a homey feel. You can play board/card games or just hang out - there's a small selection of meat/cheese/bread trays, nothing big (and they're a little pricey) but nice to chomp on. The cocktails and spirits are definitely the star here. The staff is phenomenal as well. We relied heavily on our server's recommendations, and she gave us some great ones. I have a hard time describing cocktails, but Red Cedar Spirits definitely made me question why I have ever spent money on cocktails that were not as wonderful as these. I'm not sure when they have the winter cocktail menu (*) available until, but we had the following from the winter menu: Chai Latte - as told by my friend, "it's literally like a boozy chai latte!" Tri-Apple-on - I had this one. It's like someone extracted everything that makes an apple delicious - the crispness, the tang, the tender sweetness - and put it into a cocktail. it's not an apple. But it sure captures the essence of an apple well... That's what I was hoping for and that's what I got :) Gold Rush - so unique! definitely a more "mature", harder to place flavor... but with a nice bourbon-y finish. From their classic menu: Ginger Gimlet - fresh, clean, and like a moscow mule but with none of the filler. garnished with candied ginger. My friend almost started crying tears of joy when she tasted this. Thyme Collins - "This is something you'd drink on the porch of a huge farmhouse during a sunset." Greyhound - Friend finished the night off with this. It is pleasantly grapefruity but not in a saccharine way. In a few sentences: GO HERE. This place is a hidden gem. Literally. It was hard for me to find since my navigator was just as confused. It's not your typical bar. They serve only their own spirits that they distill there. That means no beer or the usual spirits you may find at other bars. If you want to sample their drinks, you can order a flight. Carmen is a doll. She is very knowledgeable with the drinks they serve, super friendly, and can make some amazing drinks. My favorite drinks so far would be "The Basil" and a "Greyhound", but I also enjoyed their "Cucumber Cooler" and "Ginger Gimlet". I don't like sweet drinks so I get all of mine unsweetened. They're sweet enough already. They also give you complementary peanuts, chocolate covered raisins, and these chocolatey mint things - all served in glassware that you may find in a chemistry lab. If that doesn't do it for you, I would recommend the cheese plate or another one of their munchies. =D The only downside I found so far is that the bartenders really like to stick to their menu. For example, when I asked for a drink with some named ingredients, they didn't want to "create" a drink. Their martinis come with your choice of olive -- get the blue cheese stuffed olive, you won't be disappointed. Awesome local joint. It's in sort of an odd place, but I guess that's inevitable when your bar is at the same place as your distillery. The mixed drinks use fresh and local (and often homemade) everything. The result is that they are way tastier than the drinks you would find at a typical bar. While they don't serve food, they do server small snacks and so forth. This place is also above and beyond in terms of customer service. I went here once with a couple of friends, and one friend tried a drink she had never had before, decided she didn't like it that much (just wasn't her cup of tea - nothing wrong with it), and so the staff gave her a new drink but only charged her for one. read more
