I think what makes Mancino's sandwiches so good is that they are all toasted. I think you can ask for your sandwich not toasted, but why would you? The cheese gets all melty, the bread is slightly crisp but still soft in the middle, and the whole thing is just warm and delightful. I got the BLT (bacon, lettuce, tomato), which you'd think wouldn't benefit from being toasted, but you'd be wrong! This BLT sandwich also has a mozzarella cheese blend in it, which sounds super weird for a BLT, but just go with it. I suppose you could ask for a different cheese, or no cheese at all, but you should just trust that the fine people at Mancino's know what they're doing. After all, they've been doing what they're doing since the 1930s! (According to information that I gleaned from their website. Look at me using my journalism degree.)
