Cole Slaw was amazing too!

Looking for a place to eat in DeWitt, came across the Draft House. There was a line to get in but it went fast. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. My husband loves French Dip sandwiches and after his first couple bites he turns to me and says "You need to Yelp this one!" So my picture is after a few bites! The atmosphere is comfortable and friendly!

Good service with good food and cheap drinks. It's seat yourself, and we were lucky to snag a large booth for our group. We ordered the crab Rangoon and smoked wings for appetizers and both were very very good and flavorful. We ordered a lot of different meals (Mexican, wraps, entrees) but no complaints about any of them. The atmosphere is a little dark and sketchy from the outside, but once you get inside it's inviting and rustic.

Build-your-own burger with pepperjack cheese and Texas toothpicks

Surprisingly delicious! It doesn't look like much from the outside, except a place that locals would frequent... and for good reason! We went with a build-your-own burger and nachos for entrees. The burger was on a pretzel bun (extra charge) with pepperjack cheese and "Texas toothpicks" (fried jalapeños and onions) and crispy fries on the side. The nachos were loaded with beef, jalapeños, and much more. We each took half of our meals home-- you get a lot for your money. Beer was a little pricier than similar places. We also had good service. Nice experience overall!

This was my entire order of fries... not exactly a plateful.

Always good food, especially the Olive Burger and fries. Love the rustic atmosphere. One of my first choices for eating out locally.

If you haven't been here in the last year or so, it's time to come back…read more I'll be the first to admit when I make a mistake. And about a year ago, I made a mistake by giving Looking Glass a bad review. Shortly after, I came back and had a conversation with one of the managers; based on that conversation, I deleted that review. Today, I'm happy to give Looking Glass Brewing a 5 star review. Their customer service has improved significantly. In fact, the changes I've experienced since then have made it probably one of my favorite places to visit. They keep their beer rotating with new brews and I just had a delicious lunch... the onion gravy was on point and the sausages have a really good crunch. Everything has been really good and I'm so glad I gave them another chance.

Opened in 2018 on Bridge Street after the owners invested nearly a million dollars into the…read more rehab, Looking Glass Brewing Company's alter-situated kitchen pumps out sandwiches, flatbreads, burgers, pasta, and smoked meats. The bar has become a beer connoisseur's brewery with both a red ale and an Irish stout serving as the monthly special. The staff are knowledgeable, highly professional- delivering food and beverages with an affable flourish. This is a great place to catch a game or tickle your foodie fancy. What's Bright I had some windows of time within a very busy week to stop into Looking Glass and taste some of their local brews. I was mightily impressed, but even more so by the caliber of conversations about beers from guests who clearly know about it more than I do. There was considerable giddiness about the Penny Whistle- Irish Red Ale, with a 4.9% AB, it is one of three St. Patrick's Day beers on tap for the month. It was mildly sweet, for an ale, and had enough depth for me without being overpowering. I'm admittedly on the lower end of beer enthusiasts, but I also tasted the Blue Raspberry Cider and the Ginger Peach Cider. Both were quite good, and while the Blue Raspberry is a fan favorite, the Ginger Peach was superior in taste, depth, and punch. What's Vibrant I had to pause my personal belief that combining imitation crab meat and real lobster meat as sacrilegious when tasting the Crab and Lobster BLT ($16). That said, once I bit into the sandwich, I enjoyed the crunch of the lettuce, the savory, smokiness of the bacon, and the creamy, sweet notes from the seafood salad. The lobster claw chucks were plump, and the brioche bun was a nice vehicle. I loved the side of House Made Truffle Fries ($8) which were a thin cut version of carnival fries dusted with a truffle seasoning that elevated the fries rather than dominated them. The Veggie Pasta ($16) was also a hit. Cavatappi is joined by roasted Brussels sprouts, portabella mushrooms, caramelized onion, and sun-dried tomatoes. Yet it is the combination of the roasted garlic sauce and fresh basil that makes this dish dance. The portion size is large as my much better half easily had enough for lunch the next day. The Korean Hot Chicken Sandwich ($15) was flavorful and large, but a few too many components made it a challenge to eat. Pickel brined chicken breast is coated in a spicy Korean BBQ sauce and then topped with pickles, pepperjack cheese, and a traditional coleslaw. I suggest the kitchen swop out the creamy slaw for a kimchi-based slaw that's more on theme but still brings the contrast crunch diners enjoy. Best Bite I'm a sucker for a Po' Boy, the French baguette sandwich popularized in Low Country cooking. I'm heading to New Orleans at the end of the month and can't wait to dig into some authentic shrimp or red snapper Po Boy's. To get my taste buds warmed up, Looking Glass offered a Fried Grouper Po' Boy ($16) and it hit several spots. Cornmeal crusted fish, fried just hard enough with pickles, coleslaw that didn't soak the baguette, and a slight kick from the remoulade. I relished every bite like the patio patrons worshipped the early spring sun.

The countless times I have entered and felt the entire mood of the place and then suffered through it. I am not an old codger, dear reader. I am fairly optimistic, yet the most expensive issues for dining out are costly. For my time, my wallet and value. With that, I am pleased to offer "Cooperhawk Winery and Restaurant." It is beautiful. Inside and out. It is for the connoisseur and the starter. It is priced right and there is something for everyone. Ordinarily, I would dismiss this type of venue. But it was the occasion of our anniversary and my wife is a wine girl. So I did it. And when we walked in,,, it was stunning. The first thing you will see is the grand wine wall with a long bar in front of it. This is where you can choose wine tastings and flights. Get a little something before dinner. They asked me if I was a card holding member. I laughed and said oh no. By the end of the day, I was. And am glad for it. The staff treats you like you are welcomed guests. Kind. Intuitive... and helpful. They are educated and know their stuff. The wine tasting was outstanding with the Sommelier addressing every facet of the drinks we were trying. And it was delicious. We were called for dinner and sat in the main dining room. Beautiful. Warm. Clean. Immediately, our server showed and wished us a happy anniversary and brought us complimentary champagne. (When you reserve your seats, it asks about special occasions). A bonus. We had a warm soft pretzel loaf with butter as we waited. My wife ordered a filet mignon platter which she defined as excellent. I had a chicken dish with outstanding potatoes and fresh green beans. More wine please. We imbibed. While we were full from the main course they still brought out some truffles to seal the deal. We decided to join the club and got a membership. 2 bottles of exclusive wine a month for $50. A fair value as with it comes wine tastings, complimentary glasses of wine when visiting and several offers a month. We have been back several times, and each is better than the last. I encourage you to come a half hour early to enjoy the spirits and relax before your meal. 10 out of 10.

Ordered the crab Rangoon dip, yummy crunch, cali roll with cream cheese, pad Thai, croque monsieur (because mom has never tried it and figured it could be worth a try), gouda Mac and cheese, chicken hibachi. $89+ Sushi, American and an eclectic mix of cuisine here. The cali roll is so-so. The chicken hibachi was overcooked and not much flavor. Comes with plain rice. I asked if I could get more veggies, another staffer said yes. Never saw one more piece of veggie at all, beyond what comes with the hibachi. The croque monsieur is ok, not super flavorful, the cheese on top seems like an afterthought. The crab Rangoon dip was decent. Wontons are nicely fried. Pitas aren't too bad. The smoked Gouda is quite good, the cork screw noodles are perfect with the cheese blend. The pad that is just okay, could have used a lime and some bean sprouts. Bar feel inside. Glad they have booths, my mother feels more comfortable in them, more closed off and protective than a table and chairs in the middle of the dining area. Our waitress wasn't too bad. Did end up interacting with other staff for items. We asked one waiter with chin length hair on his left side and short or shaved on the right side to take a picture, he looked annoyed and couldn't be bothered to take a picture of my family. He only took one picture and it was bleary and far away. Glad this sour grape didn't wait on us today. Phew!
