Fun, old school, drive in burger joint. Order in the parking lot at a menu station and the food is delivered to your car window. Service was quick, only took about 5-10 minutes to arrive. The burger was nothing special, but the experience was fun and different. Relatively cheap meal with a burger, fry, coleslaw, soda combo at right around $10. Havent been here in years, but remembered the burger was one of the best I've ever had. Decided to take the 45 min trip to get some food. Website shows they are open 10:30am-5pm on Saturdays. I get there at 4pm and they are closed. Complete waste. Very disappointed. read more

This place was recommended by someone who raved about it as an old style drive up where you order from the car (like sonic). Previous reviews mentioned the olive burger which turned out to be nothing more than a cheeseburger with olives and mayo on it. Love this place! They're not only awesome for individuals but even large groups! The Lansing Bike Party has been going there for a number of years as they're always fast and serve great food for very good prices. A triple-header if there ever was one! Nip N Sip is a Lansing Classic! First and most importantly, CASH ONLY, so make sure you're prepared before you stop by. This is a true old-school drive-in experience where you order from a speaker next to your car, and they bring the food right out to you. The menu isn't huge, but it's got something for everyone, and the prices are fantastic! We stopped by for lunch, and the place was packed--only one or two open parking spots. There's no indoor seating, so you either eat in your car or grab it to go. My wife ordered a corn dog, hot dog, and fries, while I went for the Turkey Sub and fries. Our order was out in no more than five minutes, which was impressive with how busy they were. The food comes in a bag, not on a tray like some drive-ins, but that didn't matter because everything was delicious and a great value for the price. Even though their prices went up slightly, it is still a great deal. Their onion rings are the best in town. They are open during the winter. Their new carhop speaker system is much improved, and the carhop was super friendly. It is one of Lansing's hidden gems. read more

Well you can ignore last year's review from me because everything has been fixed up and business is booming.

OMG...This place brings you back to when the world used to be normal, people were happy, families connected over going out to eat, and things were affordable. An old old-school pull-up, order, car-hop type place. Comparable to Olympic Broil, but a little better. If Nip 'n Sip was smart they would play up on their uniqueness, rather than changing to become more like the garbage of the 2020s. Granted, the prices are trending higher, but still a great deal. The food is beyond DELICIOUS, portions are great. I've tried the olive burger, chili burger, chili cheese-o fries, fried mushrooms, and the Hammy Sammy. All are perfect, good portions, delicious as hizhell, just AWESOME!!! Love this place, I would eat here every day if I could (it would be an olive burger and something else)! read more

The food is always on point here. I had the grilled ham & cheese, cheese fries, and a vanilla malt. They were really busy, and the food was still delivered quickly. The malts, and coolers here are fantastic. They have made some nice upgrades and renovations recently. It's nice to see continuous upgrades made to the property. Stopped by yesterday for lunch. Hadn't been there in probably ten years. I was happy to see the menu was the same. I had been craving a Boston cooler and was so happy it was still served! Ordered a cheeseburger with my cooler. They were only taking cash which wasn't an issue,plus they informed before you ordered. There is a reason why Nip n Sip has been in business since 1960!! Great food, great service, frosted mug root beer and it's the only drive-in left (that I know of) in Lansing. Prices are very reasonable. As a family of 5 we ate for around $30.00 dollars (kids are all teenagers too). You almost can't do that at MC'Ds any more. I absolutely love their olive burger. I don't know where they get their burger buns but they are some of the best looking/tasting buns I've ever had! My son always get the double double with chili. Fried clams are a must (and so old school too). Going back for the Hammy Sammy next time. It may not be much to look at.......but I hope they are around till 2060 :) read more
