I got a Reuben sandwich and fries, and he got turkey breast, onion rings, and caramelized brussels sprouts. My sandwich was really good and hot, and the fries were actually some of the best I've had. My boyfriend's turkey was good, the onion rings were sooo crispy, and the brussels sprouts were glazed in a really yummy asian sauce. He said they were his favorite thing abt the meal. Service was very slow. Took 20mi. To get my drink. Ordered an old fashion and it was the worst I have ever had. Watered down alcohol. Very slow to get us our food and forget one plate. There were 5 of us at the table. Had food sitting in front of us with no silverware. Much more, but I'm going to stop there. They we not busy, maybe 25 to 30 persons in the building. Most were at the bar at 7pm. They should just be ashamed of themselves. Never going back!! I was looking forward to being able to eat BBQ'd jackfruit while my husband had the pulled pork. My sandwich was good, but not great. The flavor was good buck lacked depth. I tried adding various sauces, of which there are six, and that helped a bit. I opted for the corn with chiles in lieu of fries and was disappointed by cooked, previously frozen, corn with canned chilies. The slaw, which was made with Gravity sauce, was very good. My rating is 4 stars rather than 3, because our waitress Brooke went above and beyond to accommodate us - as sweaty and thirsty as we were. I can't compliment her enough. read more

Food was incredible, I got a rib meal with mac & cheese and collared greens. Everything tasted great but halfway through eating the collared greens I pulled out a nice chunk of plastic wrap... the server wasn't too concerned about it and took $1 off the bill. Used to be Champions Grill. We haven't been to Gravity Smokehouse at their old location until they moved to S.Cedar. New & spacious inside, servers are friendly. Food are fantastic, I didn't drink alcoholic but for sure they have a bar with high chairs & everyone seemed enjoyed. Will definitely come back again. Side note: I love their baked beans, beef brisket towards the end of the meal feel a bit dry. Their French fries are delicious, can try with so many different type of sauce. read more

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean the place was. Always a good start. Promptly greeted by (I think his name was Wes), but he was great with the customer service. 10/10. The food was phenomenal. We drove a long ways to get here, and truely not a mile was waisted because this food was tops. We got the Newton - which is a lot of food for just 3 people. After getting a flyer in the mail advertising the amazing new brunch offering on Sundays from 10a-4p I decide to take the family out to try it. These guys know what they are doing...We ordered: brisket brisket burnt ends ( meant to order pork burnt ends but oh well) collard greens cole slaw mac n cheese The brisket was smoky delicious with incredible bark. A fair amount of fat which some may object to. A bit redundant we got the brisket burnt ends...fabulous charred, fatty smoky wonderful...will try pork next time. The collard greens were top notch!! Freshly made with bits of bacon, they were tender but still had good texture...really amazing with some red wine vinegar sprinkled on. Next, the cole slaw...on point!!! Crisp, creamy, tangy almost a thousand island flavor? I'm not sure but I am a cole slaw snob and theirs is awesome! Last, the Mac n cheese...well , they can't be great at everything...we found it pretty underwhelming...kind of an non priority there? Certainly not a deal breaker! Everything about this place is good. The Mac and Cheese was garlic heavy, delicious, and the noodles weren't mushy like 99% of the places you see it on the menu. The potato skins were perfectly done, with a really tasty cheese sauce that was neither overly salty nor generic... and the skins themselves were perfectly crispy in all the right ways. Their brisket and pulled pork were flavorful, but a tad dry... but that's what the sauces are for. I highly recommend their Gravity sauce, it's very reminiscent of a Carolina White Sauce, if you love southern bbq. I did bury the lead a bit though... everything here is good, but nothing was truly *great*. Our server was very friendly and attentive, but when the food arrived, we had to send her back a few times for the sides and toppings that were supposed to come with our meal. For a smokehouse, there was NO grill or meat smoker smell. If you are grilling meat, let the customers smell it! It should be driving them to hyper-salivation... but instead it's kind of a bland experience inside the restaurant. TVs are strewn about randomly, but very few are places where it makes sense for a tv to be for a sports bar. The restaurant is very clean! Our table wasn't sticky... but out menus very much were. The final oddity was that there are no napkins on your table... in a BBQ restaurant?!? You have to wait for your server to bring them... but that can take a bit of time. ... but here's the thing.... We ate a giant meal of DELICIOUS meats, appetizers, deserts for roughly $50. If I had the exact same meal in Nashville (or even Detroit), it would cost twice that. You should definitely eat here. EDIT: they have the best cornbread I have ever eaten! I was wrong earlier, their cornbread is beyond great, it's EXCELLENT! While everything else in the restaurant gets a solid 8/10, the cornbread gets a easy 12/10. read more

We were pretty happy with this spot. I'd definitely recommend if you're in the mood for BBQ in the area. They had been a bit busy and seemed understaffed so there was a bit of a wait even though there were a lot of open tables around. But they were pleasant and we didn't even have to wait as long as they quoted us. I really liked the sausage and the gravity sauce was just about perfect for it.
