We tried the Gravity Smoke House because it offered something for both of us and it made a good midway stop on our 22 mile bike ride. I was looking forward to being able to eat BBQ'd jackfruit while my husband had the pulled pork. My sandwich was good, but not great. The flavor was good buck lacked depth. I tried adding various sauces, of which there are six, and that helped a bit. I opted for the corn with chiles in lieu of fries and was disappointed by cooked, previously frozen, corn with canned chilies. The slaw, which was made with Gravity sauce, was very good. My rating is 4 stars rather than 3, because our waitress Brooke went above and beyond to accommodate us - as sweaty and thirsty as we were. I can't compliment her enough. read more

It's been awhile since we ate there the service was slow, the noise level was on the high side. We weren't pleased with the food. In Gravity defense it was busy and it was several months ago we ate there so things could have changed. read more

Stopped here for lunch after church with my boyfriend. First off, great vibes. Sports bar feeling, but very family friendly. The servers were friendly and attentive. I got a Reuben sandwich and fries, and he got turkey breast, onion rings, and caramelized brussels sprouts. My sandwich was really good and hot, and the fries were actually some of the best I've had. My boyfriend's turkey was good, the onion rings were sooo crispy, and the brussels sprouts were glazed in a really yummy asian sauce. He said they were his favorite thing abt the meal. I plan to go back with my sister, maybe for karaoke night. read more

If you like BBQ and sandwiches this is a place to check out. The service is pretty good and spot on. Gravity Smokehouse has a full service bar with plenty of seating and if you like pool they have some nice tables to grab a game or two. read more

Ordered their smoke brisket plate with mac & cheese and coleslaw. Brisket portion not very great. Cold. Not much flavor to the brisket and dry. Mac & cheese ok. Coleslaw just down right sucked. Service was very slow. Took 20mi. To get my drink. Ordered an old fashion and it was the worst I have ever had. Watered down alcohol. Very slow to get us our food and forget one plate. There were 5 of us at the table. Had food sitting in front of us with no silverware. Much more, but I'm going to stop there. They we not busy, maybe 25 to 30 persons in the building. Most were at the bar at 7pm. They should just be ashamed of themselves. Never going back!! Might even consider calling the Liquor Control Commission to have them investigated for serving and profiting from watered down alcohol. read more

We went for dinner early on Thursday evening. Tyler was our waiter and he was very attentive and kind. We ordered the Newton for dinner; serves 2-4. The smoked turkey was a bit dry, the other three meats were very good! There were also a variety of sides to choose. We opted for the cole slaw, corn bread and tatter tots. All were very good! read more

Recently dined here and purchased the brisket and ribs (my only meal of that day). Later that day, I was struck with both diarrhea and vomiting. When I called they essentially said there was no way it could have been them. I haven't gotten food poisoning since I was a child. read more

This place was awesome! Kim, our server, was super friendly. The atmosphere was great, even on a Wednesday for lunch, this place is a gem. The BBQ itself was dynamite, I personally got the wings with Jamaican Jerk sauce and they were great, 10/10 would recommend. read more

The only thing worse than the food was the service. Our waitress was terribly so and our food came out cold. The brisket was sandwich meat thin and dry. Did I mention our food arrived cold. The beer was the best part of our meal. The gravity coleslaw was flavorless and cornbread was dry. Out of the close to a hundred Bbq places we have eaten at, this ranks as the 2nd worst. read more

The food here is very good. The service and staff are very friendly. I had the smoked sausage and cornbread and it was very good. The sausage was cooked perfectly with a nice mild Smokey flavor. My wife and son both had the bbq brisket nachos and they absolutely loved them. The gravity sauce makes everything taste better. 5/5 Would Recommend! read more

Used to be Champions Grill. We haven't been to Gravity Smokehouse at their old location until they moved to S.Cedar. New & spacious inside, servers are friendly. Food are fantastic, I didn't drink alcoholic but for sure they have a bar with high chairs & everyone seemed enjoyed. Will definitely come back again. Side note: I love their baked beans, beef brisket towards the end of the meal feel a bit dry. Their French fries are delicious, can try with so many different type of sauce. read more

Food was incredible, I got a rib meal with mac & cheese and collared greens. Everything tasted great but halfway through eating the collared greens I pulled out a nice chunk of plastic wrap... the server wasn't too concerned about it and took $1 off the bill. Would like to return but we came from out of town, not sure if this will be on our top priority list next time we visit. read more

The ribs were so dry they were like Jerky. We ordered a 1/3 size but was charged for 1/4. It was a hassle to get them to fix it.

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean the place was. Always a good start. Promptly greeted by (I think his name was Wes), but he was great with the customer service. 10/10. The food was phenomenal. We drove a long ways to get here, and truely not a mile was waisted because this food was tops. We got the Newton - which is a lot of food for just 3 people. For sides we got the slaw, a wonderfully flavorful Mac and cheese, and soft cornbread. I will be driving back for sure! read more

Tried Gravity for take out 10/9/20...Excellent! These guys know what they are doing...We ordered: brisket brisket burnt ends ( meant to order pork burnt ends but oh well) collard greens cole slaw mac n cheese The brisket was smoky delicious with incredible bark. A fair amount of fat which some may object to. A bit redundant we got the brisket burnt ends...fabulous charred, fatty smoky wonderful...will try pork next time. The collard greens were top notch!! Freshly made with bits of bacon, they were tender but still had good texture...really amazing with some red wine vinegar sprinkled on. Next, the cole slaw...on point!!! Crisp, creamy, tangy almost a thousand island flavor? I'm not sure but I am a cole slaw snob and theirs is awesome! Last, the Mac n cheese...well , they can't be great at everything...we found it pretty underwhelming...kind of an non priority there? Certainly not a deal breaker! We are stuffed and thrilled with Gravity and will be back...Highly recommend! read more

For a restaurant that makes really good food the non food issues are what brings it down. After getting a flyer in the mail advertising the amazing new brunch offering on Sundays from 10a-4p I decide to take the family out to try it. After a 25 minute drive we arrive at 10a only to be greeted at the door explaining that they don't open till 11 and there is no brunch today but instead a tailgate buffet and that doesn't start until noon. I mean, I enjoy wasting gas and my time as much as the next guy but seriously W.T.F? They sent the flyers. So, food , management including a photo of said flyer read more

Everything about this place is good. The Mac and Cheese was garlic heavy, delicious, and the noodles weren't mushy like 99% of the places you see it on the menu. The potato skins were perfectly done, with a really tasty cheese sauce that was neither overly salty nor generic... and the skins themselves were perfectly crispy in all the right ways. Their brisket and pulled pork were flavorful, but a tad dry... but that's what the sauces are for. I highly recommend their Gravity sauce, it's very reminiscent of a Carolina White Sauce, if you love southern bbq. I did bury the lead a bit though... everything here is good, but nothing was truly *great*. Our server was very friendly and attentive, but when the food arrived, we had to send her back a few times for the sides and toppings that were supposed to come with our meal. For a smokehouse, there was NO grill or meat smoker smell. If you are grilling meat, let the customers smell it! It should be driving them to hyper-salivation... but instead it's kind of a bland experience inside the restaurant. TVs are strewn about randomly, but very few are places where it makes sense for a tv to be for a sports bar. The restaurant is very clean! Our table wasn't sticky... but out menus very much were. The final oddity was that there are no napkins on your table... in a BBQ restaurant?!? You have to wait for your server to bring them... but that can take a bit of time. ... but here's the thing.... We ate a giant meal of DELICIOUS meats, appetizers, deserts for roughly $50. If I had the exact same meal in Nashville (or even Detroit), it would cost twice that. You should definitely eat here. EDIT: they have the best cornbread I have ever eaten! I was wrong earlier, their cornbread is beyond great, it's EXCELLENT! While everything else in the restaurant gets a solid 8/10, the cornbread gets a easy 12/10. read more

We were pretty happy with this spot. I'd definitely recommend if you're in the mood for BBQ in the area. They had been a bit busy and seemed understaffed so there was a bit of a wait even though there were a lot of open tables around. But they were pleasant and we didn't even have to wait as long as they quoted us. I really liked the sausage and the gravity sauce was just about perfect for it. The brisket was a bit too fatty for the wife, but all the sides were prepared well. Not going to say it was the best barbecue ever, but it fits the bill when you're lookin local! read more

Pricey but good! Service is good, meat hasn't disappointed yet, and the Brussels sprouts are yum!

I was excited about trying the food here after seeing and smelling some amazing dishes while working an event a couple weeks back, but also set my expectations low after reading some of their reviews. I'm happy to say we loved our meals at Gravity Smokehouse! We split an order of Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and it was a good size portion and they were delicious. For my meal, I had the Gravity Maker - bacon wrapped mac and cheese stuffed meatloaf topped with pulled pork, beans, and brisket - which was the epitome of comfort food. My significant other had the Two Meat Dinner with Turkey and Pulled Chicken. We both had coleslaw as our side and enjoyed it. The cornbread was also delicious and not at all dry. We tried all of their sauces and our favorites were the Gravity sauce, Spicy, and Burning Bourbon. I will agree with other reviewers that our server lacked attentiveness and intuition about our needs (i.e. drink refills, extra napkins, bringing our bill) especially since we dined on a slow Sunday afternoon and we were one of only three tables in the bar area. She also forgot to bring my credit card back in the receipt book and I was lucky to have realized it was missing before we left. (Turned out it was still lodged in the computer payment terminal.) Despite those few minor technical things, has a pretty good experience and will be back for more bbq in the future! read more
