The classic MIchelob is absent. I had ham and bean soup, cheeseburger and fries. The soup is homemade and just what I wanted. Burgers are all smash-style; cooked to order and still juicy. To me, the fries are the hit; hand-cut fresh potatoes fried to order and great! Saturday afternoon was a little spotty but they got the job done. Dagwood's is a classic college dive bar with good food cooked behind the bar for all customers to see.

And about a year ago, I made a mistake by giving Looking Glass a bad review. Shortly after, I came back and had a conversation with one of the managers; based on that conversation, I deleted that review. Today, I'm happy to give Looking Glass Brewing a 5 star review. Their customer service has improved significantly. In fact, the changes I've experienced since then have made it probably one of my favorite places to visit. They keep their beer rotating with new brews and I just had a delicious lunch... the onion gravy was on point and the sausages have a really good crunch. Everything has been really good and I'm so glad I gave them another chance.

Don't let that discourage you, as they are well stocked with any beverage you could want and their food menu has several options to satisfy any lunch, dinner, or snack craving. There is plenty of seating, some outside and some under a covering. Under the covering there are picnic tables and TV's. There are fire pits for chilly summer nights and lots of plants and hanging baskets to set-off the esthetic on the patio. Parking is free and there are clean, park-style restrooms available. Please note that this is a sports complex so games takes place on the fields that surround the bar, I think it adds to the charm of the backdrop.
