My girlfriend and I went for our lunch break. It was beautiful inside with cute window seating and some tables. You order when you walk in and they bring out the food. Great customer service, ambience and the food smells good! The music is not too loud or distracting and there is refreshing natural light. People here who are working on their work or having a lunch meetup are not overtly loud either. Outlets available on the comfy couches, and water is available for free to serve yourself. This place is always one of my favorite stops for a refreshing smoothie or toast. Best tasting smoothies in Columbus! The breakfast smoothie has the perfect blend of blueberry and banana, but it's not too sweet. I love their squash and goat cheese toast, it is now my new favorite on their seasonal/winter menu. This was the best breakfast I have ever eaten. It was light but very filling. I ordered the avocado toast with pesto and a cookie monster bowl and my husband got the avocado toast with pesto and a cherry cheesecake bowl. If you decide to eat here, get to avocado toast with pesto. Your whole life will become enlightened. This toast was life changing and we want to go back asap just for their toast! The bowls were fantastic and I plan in trying them all at some point. The staff was very friendly too. I love this place and have already recommended it to people. I've been to the south side location a number of times, and was so excited when I heard they were opening up one in grandview that also served brunch! We came here on a Sunday late morning and got right in. We split that tacos (added in bacon) and the power bowl. The tacos were good, not amazing. The hot sauce definitely helped. The power bowl was delicious. I loved the pesto sauce, next time I would probably add in protein. We also split a smoothie bowl and they even divided it up for us, which is always a nice touch! The atmosphere is really clean and cute! It's small inside, but there is still plenty of seating--even a big table for a larger group. read more

If you're a fan of the original Alchemy, then you are in for a treat! Somehow, Alchemy 2 is even better. The new Grandview Alchemy feels like the Mediterranean-inspired cafe that Alexis and Abed always wanted to build. It feels like very much like you've stepped into a little spot in another country... open and airy, hints of gold, soft seating, and a menu that's so insanely fresh that you just want to eat it all. And I intend to do just that -- eat. it. all. For the menu, it's like if Alchemy 1 and TRISM had a baby and then added weekend brunch. All the familiar offerings -- the smoothie bowls and toasts -- plus that damn egg sandwich that I'd put against any brekkie sandwich in the city -- plus more hot items, like this ridiculously tasty & filling power bowl. I haven't had weekend brunch yet, but I'm headed this weekend for some beet hollondaise on eggs benny (it's pink!). In addition to incredibly nourishing food, Alchemy has a team of caring folks who I love. The service is always (insert fire emoji). I've been wanting to try this place for awhile and the opportunity presented on a cold/rainy day where I was looking for something nourishing to warm me up! The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful in narrowing down my options and I went with her recommendation for the power bowl. Despite it being chilly out, I was intrigued by the pumpkin pie smoothie so decided to order that as well. The interior is cute, definitely a cool vibe and a nice place to grab lunch or a beverage with friends or work from (I didn't look for outlets but assume they have them). The food was prepared quickly in a small kitchen in the back and was well seasoned/flavorful as far as "heath foods" go. Minus one star because the prices were a bit high (~$25 including tip for these two items) but they were large enough I was able to save for another meal later that day. I like the local business idea and wanted to support them. The food was good, not great. Salad bowls but kind of dry. I think someone new was training at the front end where orders are placed because we received little to no guidance through the menu for this first visit ever. I preferred a different than standard cheese, feta instead of goat, but when my bowl came, it looked like goat cheese, tasted like goat cheese, and likely was goat cheese. When I approached the person in charge to ask for clarification, I was asked if it was a matter of allergy and when I said no, I just don't like goat cheese, my concerns were dismissed. I was told it was herbed feta; might have been, and I guess I just don't like that either. In short, it's a great concept but execution was mediocre. I won't be going back. read more

Always loved Grandview when I was in college at OSU back in the 90's. It's stepped up its game now that my son goes to OSU and Alchemy Kitchen is a great eclectic spot. Ambiance was fun. Food was fresh and tasty with a sheen of "healthy" (even the BLT!) and the smoothies didn't disappoint. WIll definitely make this a regular stop when visiting the boy at OSU. read more

Part juice bar, part cafe, Alchemy has a progressive, decidedly un-Ohio feel. Modern decor and bright lights. Very chic atmosphere. Lots of things on the menu that I don't recognize or understand. I tried some sort of bottled juice called cacao mylk. It scared me a bit because it looked weird and I didn't know what it was, but it was very good! Kind of chocolatey, nutty, and cinnamony all at once. My jalapeno turkey sandwich was well made and had a nice black bean spread on it. The charred pineapple on the fiesta green salad was a great addition. Overall, a really cool place with some good options. Second time we've come here. I had the Mexican brunch dish and it was absolutely fantastic. Just perfect. I also had the coconut coffee smoothie and I love it. The only thing is I wish they had umbrellas for the outdoor seating. We walked here today with our Shih Tzu and it's boiling outside. Think I got a little sunburned! But the food is worth it. Ordered To-Go from Alchemy yesterday and it was a new fun place to try. I went on a Friday and they have a special on burgers that day. They had QR code menus and hand sanitizer when you walk in. The cashier was kind but wasn't too helpful in terms of answering questions about the menu. As for food, I was so excited for the bison burger! However I was a little disappointed, there seemed to be a lack of sauce/flavor so I went back in to ask for hot sauce and they gave me their zesty mayo. I highly recommend it on the burger or even for a dip for the fries. Wish the burger was a little thicker as well, super pricy for what I received. The curried chickpeas were okay, not my cup of tea - but others may very well love them. The sweet potato fries and the ginger beer were my two favorite things that I ordered. The fries were crisp, perfectly salted and again, great with that zesty mayo dip! Overall the service is good, the place is clean and following all precautions, and the food could use some improvement - but I will still be supporting and trying other menu items! Don't think comments saying this is only fad food are accurate. If anything I personally think this is the dining/ take out food of the future for those who can afford it. Sure you can get things high in sugar but from my experience eating here and always adding protein to my smoothie bowls, I feel a lot better after i eat them and full while satisfying my cravings without feeling gross after. My sweet tooth is gone and I feel great. Other than the music scene in Cbus this is my favorite thing about this city so far. Sure it's pricey but you're paying for what you get.
